Came to this car wash on 1/18/2024 and I must say, the lady working there was the most kind person I've ever met. She looked really busy and a little stressed but when I arrived she made sure to greet me and tell me,"give me on second I'll be right with you. I'm just going to help this young man." Which I said was totally fine. I didn't get her name but she had blonde hair lol if she isn't a manager, she should be one! Give her a raise. Just sayin. Terrible. I went there to get a car wash, the basic $12 wash, in July of this year. The gentleman at the wash explained a promotion going on where they put a sticker on your car and you get a free car wash until the end of the month. The man also noted that if I did not get a car wash before the end of the month, I would just have to pay regularly when I came to get a car wash. I don't go often as it is. I was then charged $20 for august and September (unfortunately did not realize until today). Was basically signed up for a membership without my knowledge. I was refunded my money for the September month but this is ridiculous. Bring cash if you come to this business because you might get scammed. read more

Beware, these people will steal your money! You will have to end up cancelling your card and they will do nothing to refund you. I made the mistake of getting a membership with them. After cancelling the next month, I kept getting charged by them monthly. Because of miscommunications with my bank, it continued until they had raked an entire $300 from my account. Now, I've gone to the Tempe location with evidence that they've been fraudulently charging me and they treat me as if I was a lying trickster. Do not come here ever! Edit: Stephanie P's response is false. I had cancelled in the summer of 2018 and made multiple attempts to contact them and resolve this in 2019. Strong vacuums! Came for a quick express wash and left very satisfied. Only $10 for a good wash, the attendant was very helpful, and the vacuums were free! Plenty of vacuums to choose from and they even had a small power blower to get the nooks and crannies. I was in and out in minutes! read more

I always come to Raceway when my car starts piling on the grime, they've got great AND speedy customer service for a reasonable price! Plus free vacuums! Today I came to get my car wash and Tony the GM asked if was interested in the BOGO Champion wash sale they were having. I declined because last time I purchased the package I was turned away when trying to redeem the second free wash (it was an simple misunderstanding). Tony immediately offered to make things right and took care of my wash today!!! I will definitely be back again and always recommend raceway to my coworkers and friends. Basically scammers, I went there July 10th to get 1 car wash priced at $12, the guy asking me what service I'd like to get started promoting that they have this deal going on about signing up for a membership with them, to which I passed on the offer because I only wanted a one time simple car wash. Today August 7th, to my surprise I see in my bank account I have a charge from them at almost $20 and for what? I have only visited that location once in July meaning the employee there signed me up for a membership without my permission or knowledge. Before disputing the charge with my bank, I tried getting a hold of them which they make difficult saying to leave your number and they will give you a call back, yeah right. I will never go back to a Raceway car wash not even a different location due to them stealing my money like this. Absolutely pathetic of this company. read more

So back in Cali I have the membership to raceway and the Cali one blows this one out of the water. Mainly because the raceway I'm used to going to would give a towel, wet wipe and car freshener to you. This one they only give you a wet cloth which isn't in any packaging either. Also, there are only about 7 slots for vacuuming and cleaning your car which I thought was weird. Lastly the vacuums are much different in that they are tiny so you have more carpet area to cover if that makes any sense.... it took me forever to vacuum the inside. Save your money and go to a better place in my opinion. read more

I became a member of this car wash about two years ago and I canceled my membership in December 2023. I have been charged since monthly $20 for the membership price and I have not used the car wash since. Once it came to my attention that I was being charged continuously, attempted to call corporate to get my money back, but they will not call me back. When I went into the car wash today, the attendant let me know that it says the membership was canceled last month. I did not even cancel it last month, I cancel it last year. He said there was nothing I could do but contact corporate, which I already have. I'm very frustrated and would not recommend this car wash as you cannot cancel and no one will get back to you. It was also brought to my attention that when I do contact corporate, they will only give me a gift card, and not refund me my money. This is very frustrating as I wouldn't have spent all this money on car washes in the first place. I would really appreciate if someone from corporate could contact me, and refund me my money since November of last year. read more

I may be a little bit embarrassed admitting that I usually opt for hands-free car washes rather than using my own elbow grease to remove auto grease. BUT I can say with great confidence that this particular carwash will likely provide the greatest value. Best vacuum suction (by far) of any of these low-priced carwashes. I also found their washing cycle to be less abrasive, but more affective than other places I have recently gone. (Where I usually have to scrub around my fender & tires myself.) Not so, today! Yelp/Apple maps/ google all state that they close at 8pm, I also was here at 7:30 three weeks ago while they were still open. Today they decided to close 45 minutes early, asked the employee that was walking around what time they close, he then asked me what time is it. Obviously closing up shop inconveniently. Good value for what you're getting, however the staff is fairly rude, and I notice knicks in my car after prolonged washes (not sure if this is the case with all car washes though). Wow what a horrible experience! I purchased 3 fast passes for all 3 of my vehicles. Justin the manager didn't understand why I had 3 monthly passes. He threatened to cancel them all and then proceeded to chase my vehicle through the car wash on wet concrete with his feet slipping and sliding all over trying to keep his balance after the dash pass reader let me in. It was so very funny to watch a silly kid but also scary thinking about all the liability the car wash owner faced with this kid running around like a maniac. Ha. I remember my first job. I visited the grand opening, got the trial $6 DLL PROMO for the first month ($12.95 after), to try their service. 20 days later I cancelled the subscription due to scratches on my car roof. (I let it go) So now I realize, Subscription was never cancelled due to internal confusion with workers. I realized 2 months later. Even it was their mistake, they won't offer REFUND. Just free washes for my troubles, which I have no use since I stopped going in the first place because they damaged my car. read more

Normally they have a bunch of people on staff this time I noticed that there was only one person really working. Also when I left the wash after paying for the $12 maximum wash, my car was still covered in soap. Normally these guys are a good quick go to spot but after this experience I would not recommend coming here, especially later on in the day it seems like they don't tend to the cars as they normally do during the earlier hours. Their policy regarding membership is horrible. They will not cancel your membership unless YOU call to cancel it. Even if you never wash again, they will charge your card until it expires, regardless. It's a perfect storm of apathy with these memberships. If you don't care or forget about your membership they will charge and charge you. Very shady. Don't give these creeps the opportunity to over charge you. Go to Cobblestone, they give you free air freshener and won't overcharge your account when you don't wash. read more

First, there's a chart of stupidly named icons which are completely meaningless as far as getting my vehicle clean. I mean what exactly does triple foam do? Whatever. So then there's some sort of slot machine looking console with a touch screen. Touch screens are a pain from the driver's seat btw. After selecting your wash (we got the $6 with tire and rim package) the console asks you to upgrade to the aforementioned inscrutable options. After staring at the stupid screen before realizing there was a "pay now" area to touch available, one of the workers stopped over to assist. He was nice enough, but lead with an offer to join the "Unlimited Wash" club. I laughed and said I never wanted to be sitting at this machine again, so no...he laughed uncomfortably. He hit 'start over' for me, and got me back to the exact spot I was already at in the menu. Thanks guy! Anyway, the whole time a barely audible computer voice is chattering away from the console. Apparently telling me which way insert my card, and other unhelpful information. Why isn't this brand new place, with a brand new machine accepting chips? After paying and navigating a bunch of cones, for no reason...the only place to go is into the washing machine. Themachine itself is like an awful casino without any music. There are blue and red lights, icons of the different processes...its honestly insane. We got out of the washing machine and our rear tire cover had been ripped off, not surprising - it was hanging by a thread. Our tires and rims were still dirty, there was still mud on the rear of the car. Since there is no one there to monitor the exit, we drove a few miles with the tire cover dangling. Even at Clean Freak (which is awful) an attendant stopped me once because the car was not clean and sent me through again, but here...I guess they don't really care if your car is clean after exiting the car wash? Won't be heading back here! read more

I wish I could give this a negative star. During the wash their equipment leaked oil all over our car, leaving heavy streaks all over it. They refunded our money but when we asked what they were going to do about the oil, they told us to go to another branch. Had to drive to another car wash with oil so badly fogging my windshield that I could hardly see through it - very dangerous. Pro tip: oil needs real soap to get rid of it, not the foamy stuff in machines. So when your machines get oil on someone's car the least you can do is give the car a quick handwash with dish soap. Very easy to do and won't leave customers driving a car with dangerously opaque windshields. During the wash the conveyor started to push our car backwards into the truck behind us. The worst car wash I have ever seen. read more

Not impressed. After the last round of monsoons ripped through my neighborhood, my truck was left with dusty rain drops. I stopped by this car wash due to location convenience. The auto-brushes missed the majority of the hood, lower 1/2 of the driver side, and the wheels of my truck weren't touched. The only "option" they offered me was to pay another $5 to go through again. read more

Worst experience of my life in a car wash. We had been here a few times before and it was a decent wash for the price. Today, we were at dryer and the car starting rocking harshly and moving backwards, while the car behind us was moving forward in the wash. Thankfully we were able to shift gears and pull forward in time to prevent a crash. Given it was the first time we experience this we let the employees know, to which they responded "oh yeah that happens sometimes"???? Are you serious, they have some sort of mechanical issue that can cause an accident and their response is oh it happens ? Or " it could be the weather that affects it" It's NOT EVEN WINDY! Looking for a no to low contact wash during the pandemic? This may not be a good choice. My experience gives me the feeling this business cares little about public health, and that means mine, yours and their employees. The attendant was not wearing a mask and got quite close to the car window. I told him I wanted a month of wash and wax and he sold me something else. Once I realized it, I already had the sticker and the receipt for the other plan. He said he'd take care of it inside and would upgrade this wash but would not give me an updated receipt. How's that going to guarantee me the no to low contact at later washes? I drove back around after the wash to ask for the updated receipt. This time he was wearing a mask, not over his nose, just his mouth. He came right up to the window and pulls the mask off to speak. I tell him I can hear him with the mask on. He puts it on but his entire nose is sticking out. I asked him to put his mask over his nose. He said he was putting it over his nose while not doing a thing. And he continued to say it's ok and still did not provide an updated receipt. Does this give you confidence in this business? One more thing, he insisted that the sticker be posted with the printed info facing inside towards the driver. So not readable by employee or machine. Makes no sense. Doesn't sound like Raceway employers are training their employees in masks or much else. read more

The University location in Tempe (University & McKlintock) has the worst set up! The wash system seems to need at least two washes to get your windshield clean. And some of the customer service reps are as far from customer service as possible. They also change what you get with each wash to make you pay more for the same monthly service. read more
