They only offered a diagnostic after they replaced the starter and stated it was the battery. When they finished the replacement they told us to replace the battery, which we did, but the car continued to not turn over after multiple attempts. My partner took the car to another mechanic in town to see what else could be wrong. Mechanic in town stated that whoever put the starter in put it in incorrectly, they cross threaded the starter, and now the part is no longer useful. When I reached out to the company for a refund regarding the service they kept stating they offered a diagnostic, which again was not true, and they blamed the part and not the individual preforming the service. They basically only offered to charge me more for coming out again to check their own work, only offering to waive appointment fee. Again I would not recommend this company

I do get my oil changed every 3000 miles when warranty requires 5000 because I do take care of my truck, too expensive not too. Well they said they would "misread" my mileage so it would keep my warranty valid. I dropped by on Monday to make sure my truck would be services on Friday as it was when they could schedule me in, they did not tell me they would accommodate my request then or at our first conversation either. Picked it up on Friday and the counter guy said he could not change the milage because it was wrong to do so. But lying to me that he would is quite acceptable in his mind apparently. The owner came over and started telling me about its a battle repeatedly until I told him we are not in a battle we have a disagreement that's all. He raised his voice and kept telling in about its a battle in business and I don't understand and kept ranting on and on. I told him it was ultimately my fault because I missed the milage but I would have gone somewhere else that would done my request. If I wasn't able to find another company I would have just done it myself because it would be out of warranty anyway and save myself $660 which was my bill, pretty excessive actually.

I first brought my car in for a…read moreradiator issue and water pump replacement, and the service was quick, affordable, and professional. A couple of days later, my car started overheating again. I called them, and without hesitation, they told me to bring it in right away. They quickly diagnosed a completely different problem--my thermostat and a faulty sensor. Even though this was unrelated to the first repair, they covered the cost entirely. That kind of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction is almost impossible to find these days. Not only do they have some of the best prices in town, but the team genuinely cares about their customers. They took the time to listen to my frustrations, treated me with kindness, and even gave me a hug before I left. It's rare to find a shop that blends top-notch mechanical work with such compassion and honesty. If you want skilled, trustworthy, and caring professionals to work on your vehicle, Tech Automotive is the place. They've earned a loyal customer for life.

I was quoted 158 for this job the day prior over the phone and I confirmed at the start of the appointment if that would be the price. My brakes were in poor shape, missing a brake pad on one side and the mechanics spent an extra 15-20 mins working on my cylinder. At the end of the job, Chris informed me that they got air on the line and would have to bleed the brakes. (I've always had my brakes bled at the end of any brake job so this is standard for me to have done whenever I get my breaks done. They told me this would be an extra 120 dollars at the end of the job. My father is a mechanic and said that price was a little high just to bleed the brakes and was very familiar with the procedure. He told me "go call your dad and ask him to send you more money." When I asked if they could take 20 bucks off and knock the price down to 100 from 120 he asked me to tell him how old I was which I thought was rude and uncalled for. I told him I was 30 and he proceeded to say "wow you look 18" and said "one day you're going to have to learn that everything in life isn't free sweetheart." When I went to his office to pay he also said I'm going to have to buy him lunch because they spent extra time working on my car than they planned. Disgusting behavior. I would not recommend this shop to any woman (or really anyone) unless you want to be taken advantage of and upsold. They ended up bleeding one brake so my car would be somewhat drivable. My interior dashboard was also scratched up when I got my car back from them.

Shook hands, agreed on price, I would return next day with a down payment check. The next day, the secretary Reg. called and said that R. made a mistake in figuring the quote and the owner wanted $300 more for the job. Husband and I talked about it and decided that there was nothing to stop them from raising the price $3000 once they had my vehicle taken apart. I'm not saying that they would do that but what would stop them? Certainly not a written estimate. I considered that estimate a contract once R. had signed it. I intended to keep my end of it. Went back to their shop, turned out it was a miscommunication, there was no math error but the price was still $300 more just because the owner said so. They wanted to discuss it further, "call the owner," "talk about it see if he would change his mind," but frankly at this point, I was pretty much done. I took my key and vehicle and went home, grateful that I had not done business with this company and that I had waited until the next day to come back with a check. Also I couldn't find anyone who had done business with this company for either good or bad so I decided to go to someone else just because I didn't know them. They have been in business for a long time. They lost a job over a $300 difference. Perhaps your experience was or would be better. Mine was not. In the future, I think they would benefit from some continuity in their relationships with customers. Set a price and keep it. Set a timetable and keep it. Communicate clearly, consistently and specifically when someone is handing you a check for that much money.
