They did a great job but 1000% recommending scheduling an appointment! I showed up right when they opened on a Saturday and still had to wait 45-hour for my pedicure and manicure. I asked in the beginning if they could fit me in and they said yes, but they should've mentioned the wait would've been that long. I think not mentioning the wait time was what made me upset. Was seriously tempted to walk out but they already had me soaking my feet. Like I said though, my nails look great and they had a large color selection. I paid $70 for both pedicure and acrylic full set so I don't think it was that bad at all. Would try this place again, but will make an appointment next time. read more

This is the best nail shop I have visited in a very long time. I went in without appointment and they serviced me within 10 minutes. The employees are very polite and very humble. I had a full set of nails done with Kenny. Let me tell you, Kenny is a true nail artist. He is so meticulous and you can just tell that he is working his art on your nails. Writing a terrible experience review for them. I asked the nail tech if they could do marble and how much it was and she never answered. They communicated between themselves and then when I looked at her she said one second. She did the foil on my nails and I asked her again about the marble and then said if she can't or it's going to take too long I just want to do a regular gel color. Also nail techs should know that you shouldn't have acetone on for that long of a period (35 minutes). Clearly did not care what I had to say because then after they assumed that I wanted only marble so they kept skipping me. If there was only one person that can do it then please COMMUNICATE to the customer so they can decide. Another thing but I think this is at nail salons across-the-board please don't say that you have time right now if you cannot take somebody within the first five minutes. That does not mean you have availability all that means is you have time at some point. (For this salon one hour wait is not that you have time for me right now) This is something that should be changing across all nail salons. All customers ask for is clear communication. The worst part: My gel nails had bubbles in them. He didn't file them underneath and are very rough. Now I need to fix them on my own. Not worth the money. Warning to not go here if you don't have a plethora of time. And if you don't want any communication from them. read more

Honestly I was disappointed with this salon. I had an appointment in the morning and the person acted as if I was a walk-in. There was no one to greet me and the guy only looked up to ask what service I wanted and continued working on the other person's nails after telling me to sit down and wait the 5 minutes for my appointment. Didn't tell me to look at any particular nail set, offer my anything to drink, etc Someone came and told me to sit down. No introduction, didn't ask me what color(s), and didn't ask me what if I wanted additional services (usually people ask you if you want a callus removal, a massage, paraffin, etc). Then the weirdest thing happen when it got busy. She told me someone else was going to work on nails while she was still in the process of cleaning my toes (I was getting a mani-pedi). Two men worked on my nails afterwards, which was fine, but during my time there, no one really talked to me. I feel like people at nail salons talk to you to build clientele and that definitely did not happen. Also a huge NO is that two of fingernails were shaped CROOKED. I asked for square and got diagonal -_- Needless to say will not be coming back to this place read more

Missed pampering myself!! I'm so thankful I decided to come in. Patrick the nail tech did my full set and let me tell you he paid attention to detail didn't rush thru the process. I also got my pedicure done and after 3 month quarantine I feel back to normal. Prices are reasonable for the quality they provide. Will definitely be coming back again read more

The worst nail place I've been to!! The man did my toes and I can't complain those are decent but the woman that did my nails ruined them. She made them way too short then tried making them longer so made them super thick and uneven. Then got mad at me when I complained. Never ever again. Don't waste your time or money. Also as I'm in there 2 other women were complaining to there techs and at one point one woman grabbed the file from the nail tech and started to file her own nails!!! Horrible read more

I only like the way Kenny does nails but he comes in on his own time despite having an appointment. Not only did he arrive at 10:45 for a 9:30 appointment and didn't mention it once 3 weeks ago, but today I had a 1030 appointment and he didn't come at all. His staff said he wasn't coming in and that he lives in Arizona... Not to mention I came to Lawndale from Riverside, 82 miles away. As a woman you usually have your preference, and this was mine. They also charge you of the top of their head. There aren't any set prices. read more

Came in for a pedicure this past weekend and during the service, the lady kept a digging and into my nail causing my big toe, and the one next to it, on my left foot to bleed for the past couple days. Now my toe is slightly swollen and purple on the sides. She even cut my toe nails with a cuticle cutter, NOT nails clippers. read more

Good work, LACK OF COMPREHENSION! Some people's thing is shoes, hair or hobbies. My thing is NAILS. I have and I will spend ridiculous amounts of money for my nails. I said that to say I recently took off my acrylics and decided to try a gel manicure. I walked in and asked for a gel manicure and was told to wait (not given a wait time) no big deal. I waited for approximately 40 minutes before being seen. No big deal. I explained I just recently took my acrylics nails off and I needed a gel manicure because I wanted to start growing my natural nails. I asked could they put a layer of acrylics on my natural nails to keep them strong (because a friend of mine gets her natural nails done this way and they are very healthy and strong) A man who was not doing my nails chimed in and suggested I get the dipping gel/powder because it last longer and it will help keep my natural nails strong, I said sounds great and asked the pricing, he said $40. That was perfect. I wanted a marble design on my nail and the technician that was doing my nails was unable to do the marble so another man told me he would do it, he told me that would be an additional $5. That was fine. The man that chimed in and suggested the dipping powder told me my total would be $48. Where the $3 came from, I don't know, but this PRICE was still OK with me. They lady drills my natural nails (again I just took off acrylic) and then proceeds to dip my nails in the powder. I stop her and ask about an ACTUAL MANICURE, my nails weren't soaked in water, my cuticles weren't cut, and they were not filed or buffed prior to her placing the powder on my nails. The guy that suggested this chimes in once again and says a manicure isn't included. I asked him 'I'm paying $48 dollars just to have my nails painted?!' That doesn't make sense when my initial request was a MANICURE! He proceeds to tell me that a manicure would be an additional $14, which I was STILL willing to pay because again I CAME IN FOR A MANICURE. They began to get frustrated with me and my concern of charging $48 without doing a simple manicure. I tried to explain a countless time I still wanted the dipping powder I just wanted a real manicure first. For whatever reason they did not understand this and asked me to pick new colors for a gel manicure (since the colors I picked was the dipping powder). At this point I'm frustrated so I pick (3) new gel colors (I originally picked 3 dipping powder colors) I asked the lady to make my thumb, index and pinky the same color and the middle finger a glitter and the ring finger white. I had to say this a LITERAL 7 TIMES and literally hand her the polish per finger because she did not understand, for whatever reason. Ultimately I did get a decent gel manicure, with gel polish and paid a total of $30. The experience was so annoying I won't be back here but the work was good. read more

I used to come here a lot for gel manicures with the previous owner. However, I stopped coming because they didn't have spa chairs for pedicures so I found another place. Decided to come here on a whim on a Wednesday for just a manicure and the place looked so different! I found out they switched owners a year ago. Ivy did my manicure and she was very nice. I ended up coming back a couple weeks later for a pedicure because they now have spa chairs! These spa chairs are very nice and comfy. I wish I took a picture of the remote because it had a lot of options as well. Kenny did my pedicure and did a great job. So happy for the new owners and spa chairs! I'll be back! read more

Went to get my nails done at this nail salon on a Wednesday and one week later the color of the nail drastically changed. The original color were pink with white tips and now they are an orangish color with a dirty beige tip, only after one week! I went to the nail salon to see if they can fix or replace them but they wanted to charge me for a whole new service and didn't even offer to fix them. I did not use any chemicals or special products against the nails, they changed colors on their own. Bad service and bad products! read more

Having just moved to the area, I'm so happy I found this place. Ivy, my nail tech, is super sweet and you can tell that she genuinely cares about her work. I didn't catch the guys name, but he was sweet too and as soon as he finished his last customer, he stepped in to help wrap me up and help me close out. Unlike many nail salons, the actually massage your hands and feet, as part of the respective service, rather than just carelessly slapping cheap lotion on and wiping it off... I'm really looking forward to becoming a regular here. read more

I fired the woman doing my nails because she man handled me as seen by plucking away cuticles harshly, she cut me, and used the drill so harshly on one nail my nerves pulsated and was tender. When I got fed up and fired her after yelping once then asking her to ease up, she told me, "I didn't even cut you." Then she reached for my hand again, but I refused. The person doing my toes and the new nail lady was nice and did a fair job. The nail tech didn't put me under the dryer and said I was done after 10 minutes of air drying. I have some mixed feelings about my experience. The salon was clean, staff was friendly, and honestly I had one of the best pedicures at this salon. The downside is that I got chemical burns all over my left foot from the callus remover. I had to tell my tech that my skin was burning. He poured water over my foot, but the damage was done. It's been several days and my foot still hurts. I hope it will be healed in time for a wedding this weekend. read more

I went in to get my acrylics nails removed. Instead of soaking the acrylics off in acetone, the older woman used the "quick" (and rough) method of peeling them off using a fake nail, and took off a good portion of my real nail. In the photo: there's no nail on tip of my finger, hence why it's red. read more

SO PLEASANTLY SURPRISED WITH TNS!!! I drive by all the time on the way to yoga and am always Yelp-ing nail places in the area. What was stopping me was it's location- in a small plaza right off the 405 and across from a liquor store.. I don't know.. BUT they had such good reviews and prices I had to give it a try. $15 for a pedi INCLUDING sea salt scrub! (usually +$5 at other salons) $25 mani/pedi The decor is kinda like a girls college dorm room LOL but I dig it. Instead of massage chairs they were just big comfy chairs! Way better anyway. The girls were friendly and I was chatting with the girl doing my pedi (didn't catch her name :( wahh) pretty much the whole time. Out in less than one hour with a great job on both hands and feet. Plus, ZERO trying to up-sell (I up-sold myself on a mani/pedi lol). And since it was around Christmas they gave us a little container of Candy Cane Sea Salt Scrub to take home! How sweet!! Although I'm not thrilled with the location (a guy came up to my car and my GF's car as we were pulling out of the driveway) I will just make it a point to come in the daytime and with a friend! read more

I went in for a gel manicure. My nails were completely destroyed because I had removed my gel extensions on my own. Granted I was not expecting a great shape, I was however expecting a good paint job. The paint job was sloppy, and blotchy. She only did two coats when it was obvious that I needed a third coat due to how splotchy it was. She took a couple looks but decided not to do it. She was too busy entertaining her daughter/granddaughter and wanted to finish the job fast to get back to entertaining. I had to go to target and buy gel nail polish to fix myself. I was the only customer in the store, so why attention to detail was not important is beyond me. Do not recommend. read more

New to the area in search of a go to nail salon. I specifically made an appointment with Peter bc he seemed to be the better nail tech with the pictures mostly of his work. I came in for a fill and 3 nail fix which came to $25. The shape was pretty dead on from my previous tech with the exception of my right thumb nail. It's shorter and stubby in shape and I had to have him shape it so it at least wasn't completely crooked. He's a little heavy handed but overall it was a decent job. I don't know if this will be my go to salon but not a bad back up read more

The Good: To start there is no business signage on the front or any type of indication that this is " Uncovered LA" literally just an all black storefront, with blacked out windows and a black iron gate door. Once you walk in though, it is very nice and looks neat and clean. Max who usually does my waxing, is pleasant. She does small talk to catch up and tries give breaks to relieve you through the waxing process which can be painful. The bad: she doesn't use any type of protective barriers on the waxing table which i find very unhygienic. I remember she stopped investing in the paper roll that you use to cover the table similar to what they use in a doctor's office before you sit on the examination table. She started reusing towels instead which i still think is pretty unsanitary. She also use reuses wash cloths to wipe your sensitive areas down and that just freaks me out every time. I've never had someone reuse wash cloths always a fresh warmed wipe. I even thought about bringing my own supplies like I do at the nails salon to not get a fungal infection, but I shouldn't have to do all that. The Ugly: my last visit I unfortunately received a bad bacterial infection after getting a wax from Max. I remember her looking for a towel to put down on the table and couldn't find one and i was in a super rush to catch a flight later that day so i just had her wipe down the black waxing table with a sanitizer wipe and i got it done. She used this same white wash cloths as per usual to wipe me down afterwards. Later that day I started to feel uncomfortable "down there" and had discharge that hasn't stoped since I go back from my trip. When I got checked, I was told it was a bacterial infection and I wont go into to much details, but I find myself having to wear a pantie liner EVERYDAY which is something I've NEVER had to worry about before. I waited a long time to post this review because I didn't want to negatively impact her business, but this experience has really changed my life and the money that I have to constantly spend on liners was definitely not worth a $60 Brazilian wax. Needless to say, I was naïve and really should have voice my concerns, but what an expensive lesson to lean. Ladies please take care of your health and always speak up if something doesn't feel right to you especially when paying for a service.

Anything less than one star?? Went there on Saturday and I sat with this girl who couldn't speak or understand one single word in English, what ever I needed I had to ask the manger, she would translate it to her and translated it back at me, which was a very weird situation because I didn't want to interrupt the opener who was working with other clients, anyhow.. I did gel manicure and it start peeling off only three days later, one after another and by Friday six of my gel peeled away completely, I called them couple of days later asking if they can fix it and they said they're gonna charge half, which would be $12.5 but she said it's gonna be $15, I said whatever and because I work I only can go on Friday morning, and she said it's gonna be $25 if I want to go on Friday!!! I told her I can send her picture of my nail, I even kept couple of sheets of fallen off gel to show her, but she said no and it's gonna be $25. Horrible customer service, horrible quality. Not recommended, not ever going back. read more

This is always my go to nail spot for all my own gorgeous reality influencer nails. My nails of gel acrylic lasts up to 2 months the most. They don't come off. So durable and long lastingly impressive. Worth every penny. Just got new ones done today in my fav jade green cats eye color in stiletto shape and of course with the pink bling bling. My own GORGEOUS design. :) that I get daily compliments from everyone especially straight guys lol and my clients. The people and service here are always the best here. Bad service and unfriendly staff :( I took my husband for a mani and pedi with me and he asked me why there???? they did not even say to the customers he remarked!! we waited about 35 minutes and they don't even speak English just their language and look mad while working on your feet its like they hate their job! bathroom smells!!!! never ever will come back plus is pricey and I can go with my money somewhere else where they appreciate my business. read more
