Upon arriving, I was greeted with a beautiful smile and question. What was I going to be getting services for? They quickly turn me into an important client and sat me down next to the pedicure station. The pedicure was amazing and the service was great. The service requested was beautiful and the nails that I requested for came out just the way I presented to the nail technician. Her name is Sam. Excellent job thank you.

Steven is truly the best at what he does! He is incredibly talented, professional, and pays attention to every little detail. My nails always come out looking amazing, and you can tell he genuinely takes pride in his work. He makes the whole experience enjoyable and always delivers beautiful results. If you're looking for the best nail technician, I highly recommend Steven!

THE BEST NAIL TECH!! I absolutely love my nail tech! He is seriously the BEST! He's quick, talented, and always knows exactly what I want. I can show him a picture or just give him an idea, and he brings it to life every time. His designs are always on point, and I get so many compliments on my nails! He's also very nice and funny, so my appointments are always a good time. I really like the atmosphere of the shop too. Everyone is welcoming, and I love that they offer you a cold bottle of water without you even having to ask. It's the little things that make a difference! Had such a great experience here! A few friends and I stopped by for afternoon manicures and pedicures, and everything was so easy and relaxing. We didn't have to wait, the service was quick, and everyone was so sweet and caring. They even brought us water! They have a huge selection of colors, amazing prices, and plenty of parking. I found my new nail spot I'm usually so turned off by other nail salons because the vibes will be off or they stay trying to pressure me to get "this" and "that." This is not the case for Ocean Nails & Spa! The entire staff is welcoming and sweet! You get what you ask for with no pressure and absolute transparency. Katie is my new nail tech and I can't thank her enough! I brought my sad, extremely damaged nails to her and she did her thing! The Good: To start there is no business signage on the front or any type of indication that this is " Uncovered LA" literally just an all black storefront, with blacked out windows and a black iron gate door. Once you walk in though, it is very nice and looks neat and clean. Max who usually does my waxing, is pleasant. She does small talk to catch up and tries give breaks to relieve you through the waxing process which can be painful. The bad: she doesn't use any type of protective barriers on the waxing table which i find very unhygienic. I remember she stopped investing in the paper roll that you use to cover the table similar to what they use in a doctor's office before you sit on the examination table. She started reusing towels instead which i still think is pretty unsanitary. She also use reuses wash cloths to wipe your sensitive areas down and that just freaks me out every time. I've never had someone reuse wash cloths always a fresh warmed wipe. I even thought about bringing my own supplies like I do at the nails salon to not get a fungal infection, but I shouldn't have to do all that. The Ugly: my last visit I unfortunately received a bad bacterial infection after getting a wax from Max. I remember her looking for a towel to put down on the table and couldn't find one and i was in a super rush to catch a flight later that day so i just had her wipe down the black waxing table with a sanitizer wipe and i got it done. She used this same white wash cloths as per usual to wipe me down afterwards. Later that day I started to feel uncomfortable "down there" and had discharge that hasn't stoped since I go back from my trip. When I got checked, I was told it was a bacterial infection and I wont go into to much details, but I find myself having to wear a pantie liner EVERYDAY which is something I've NEVER had to worry about before. I waited a long time to post this review because I didn't want to negatively impact her business, but this experience has really changed my life and the money that I have to constantly spend on liners was definitely not worth a $60 Brazilian wax. Needless to say, I was naïve and really should have voice my concerns, but what an expensive lesson to lean. Ladies please take care of your health and always speak up if something doesn't feel right to you especially when paying for a service.

Whatever you do, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! The nail tech who was doing my pedicure was so rough. Because of her both of my big toes are swollen. Both of my toes are red and any pressure on them hurts me, plus there is PUSS coming out of my nails, clearly I have an infection. Please do not go here, I don't think they even clean their tools properly! The nail tech knew she was hurting me, but she obviously didn't care. Kaycee did an awesome job on my lashes! I love that I have options on what length and how much volume I want. I love to have options depending on how I'm feeling. She's also super fun to chat with. The quality of the lashes are amazing and the glue doesn't sting. She's also straightforward and honest with what you're getting, care, and pricing. Whenever I…read morecall, the receptionist only offers me appointments that are late in the evening and 1-2 hr before closing which isn't considerate. I called to inquire about appointments and the receptionist stated that the techs make their own appointments, but when I went last week, the tech mentioned that the front desk books their appointments. It definitely feels like a lack in honesty, transparency, and customer service. If my business isn't appreciated, then I can find a different nail salon who will appreciate a client who spends $100+ each time for my nails plus tip because this is disappointing and frustrating. Besides this matter, the Nail techs that I have worked with have been great and I hope to continue working with them as long as I can get a decent scheduled appointment when I call in advance notice.
