But, clients flying in from out of town wanted a memento of their Austin trip so boots it is! First off, the store and its selection of clothes and boots is amazing. As soon as we walked in and sat down we were offered water, beer, tequila or Ranch water. Wut?! Please and thank you. The lovely young woman who worked with us wasn't only able to answer all our questions, make suggestions for what we should be looking at and knew all things boots, she was kind and fun to hang with. This felt less like a store than a hang with friends and trying on boots. The selection is VAST and there are great price points for any wallet. I can't recommend this place enough!

They even have a few dressing rooms in the back to try on the clothes they also sell in addition to shoes. I always had bought cheap Van's sneakers growing up so when I said I wanted some really comfortable shoes to wear every day and sometimes hiking I was hesitant when the shoes were so expensive. Both make very well made shoes, and those who do run, have said they are the top two they would choose for marathons. I don't run. But, I was taught, and I have since believed to, even if just walking....get a running shoe! More cushion then any walking shoe! Also, I used to show customers, by how they walk, if they "pronate" or "supinate" (walk on inside or outside of their foot), or "neutral". So, I know the difference on shoes, when they have the "gray bar" on the shoe, that is for pronaters, like me! :) When I came into the store on 12/29 (just discovered this Outlet mall in general and was walking around), I was greeted by two happy associates. I wish I caught their names. But, it was one male, and one female, and both were very nice! The lady came up to me as I was looking at the shoes, and explained all the above, and I was impressed that she knew about judging the walking as well. (* I have been to a LOT of stores that sell athletic shoes, and they don't know the difference). I ended up with the Kayano, as it just felt like "butter" when I slipped it on. Plus, it was on sale, so couldn't beat that! When I approached the cash register, the gentleman behind was very nice as well, and asked how long I have liked Asics. I replied "Over a decade now". At The Domain you will find this Aldo store, which is on the expensive side as usual (most locations have been, in my experience), but Barbi is a fan for sure, and we tend to come here whenever Barbi is up for it, and whenever we shop at The Domain, because it's so lavish and fancy and futuristic. The Domain is great, and even though it's more than 10 years old already it still looks pretty futuristic and is still expanding even as I write. Oops just expanded again. Oops and again. Although this is one of the better stores in the mall, like most Domain stores, it's just on the expensive side.

They didn't have an 8 so I tried on an 8.5. Lovely, just lovely. And she didn't make me feel bad for not being able to afford them right then and there. I walked out of Aldo feeling fulfilled and looking forward to buying my size online! Ayanaa (sorry if Im spelling it wrong) seemed to love her job and happy to help.
