Did I ever think I'd find myself in a Cowboy boot store? I've lived here in Texas for going on 5 years and the answer has always been a resounding no. But, clients flying in from out of town wanted a memento of their Austin trip so boots it is! First off, the store and its selection of clothes and boots is amazing. As soon as we walked in and sat down we were offered water, beer, tequila or Ranch water. Wut?! Please and thank you. The lovely young woman who worked with us wasn't only able to answer all our questions, make suggestions for what we should be looking at and knew all things boots, she was kind and fun to hang with. This felt less like a store than a hang with friends and trying on boots. The selection is VAST and there are great price points for any wallet. I can't recommend this place enough! read more

Terrible customer service and no help to obtain boots. Stood around 10-15 minutes no employee asked me if I needed any help. Customers who arrived after me were helped while I was still being ignored and while two females employees were busy flirting with one male customer. Got tired of waiting and walked up to the register and was helped by Landon. He apologized for the inconvenience and was kind and helpful. Other employees should strive to be like Landon. Absolutely terrible experience with customer service. Checked out some boots that I wanted on the boot wall, waited for someone to ask what size etc, since I wanted to be courteous to other people as well as the workers. After about 15 minutes I went up to one of the workers and asked to try som boots on. I had recently purchased my 4th pair of boots but they didn't fit quite right once I got them home and after wearing them all afternoon. Kaylee and crew worked with me to try and stretch the boots a couple of times but couldn't quite get the right fit. Ultimately they decided to do the right thing and replace the boots. Great selection of boots but it can get crowded. The employees tried their best to get the boots in sizes we needed but were often juggling multiple customers which resulted in periods of waiting. Still the service otherwise is good and we've purchased several pairs here. read more

I am used to luxury shopping and it's always a nice touch when the staff offer you something to drink (even before you advise your intent to shop). Rating this location one star due to the employees. If you are okay with being ignored and not treated with the same service as those who "look" the part, by all means continue shopping at this location. I did buy a pair of boots but felt very uncomfortable and not welcomed throughout the whole process. Tecovas always impresses me with their service but my experience today blew me away to the point I needed to leave a review. We came in early on a Saturday and left with 3 new pairs of boots, a freshly cleaned pair, and a few new fronds. Sam, Dina, and Mason made our experience incredible. Sam made us feel welcome the second we walked in the door, made sure we had a drink in our hand while we shopped. Dina matched our energy on the sales floor and was our hype girl to make only the best retail therapy decisions. Mason rounded our experience by cleaning up my Docs to like new condition. Had high hopes for my first boot purchase experience but was severely let down. I had visited this store previously to purchase items for my husband during Christmas time and I experienced the staff serving whiskey shots, giving out hard seltzers for people purchasing boots and providing better customer service than other competitors I've visited, which is what made me want to come back when I was ready to make a bigger purchase. However today was not like that at all. I purchased a pair of knee high $374 (w/tax) boots and they were tight in the calf area when I tried them on. I asked the employee assisting me if they would stretch out once I started wearing them and he told me no. He did not mention that they offered stretching at the store. I was not going to buy them if I had to get them stretched somewhere else because I could just go somewhere like Allen's Boots, where they offer stretching with a boot purchase. I ended up asking him if they offered stretching there and the guy assisting me said yes, but that they can only stretch them x amount and it may take a few times. He honestly had me feeling like I was burdening him/the staff by wanting them stretched. Another female employee walked up to ring me up and handed me a form to fill out for the stretching. The guy who was originally helping me had walked away and never came back to finish helping me. Once the purchase was complete, the female employee left and my husband and I stood there looking at each other waiting for some assistance with the now purchased boots in front of us on the table. We weren't sure if we needed to give the boots to another employee, if we just left them on there the table or what. So I find another employee to ask who I needed to hand the completed form to, if that was all they needed, how long the stretching would take and when I could come pick them up. No offer of a whiskey shot, which you could clearly see opened bottles stocked behind the counter, no thank you, nothing but a lack of enthusiasm and customer service and us leaving very underwhelmed. I'd definitely spend my money elsewhere in the future. Hopefully a different location offers a better experience than this one did. read more

Shout out to Sarah for her excellent customer service at their Domain location. We must have tried on 3 pairs apiece before securing the right size and style. It seemed like we were surrounded by boxes but Sarah ensured that our boots fit correctly. Of course, my size was not in stock but she was able to locate a pair at another store and voila they appeared at my front door in 5 business days as promised. Pro tip: If you see Tecova boots advertised on FB at crazy low prices it is a scam. While at the store we accessed the alleged Tecova site and it was a mirror image of their real site. As an added bonus I enjoyed a Comped Garrison Bros whiskey (straight up of course) which only enhanced my shopping experience. read more

I don't know if the female employee who helped us was just having a bad day but shopping here wasn't a good experience at all. My husband and son and I came in to buy a pair of boots and it felt like we were a major inconvenience to them. I regret buying the pair I did and wish I had just gone to another location. I would've loved to brand my boots too but honestly wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. We were in there to ask questions, try on boots, and spend money and I don't even think we got one smile. Thinking of returning the boots and getting another pair somewhere else. One of the finest retail experiences I've ever had both in terms of the merchandise and the service I received. Mom had been talking about buying a pair of boots for a while. On the way back from dinner, we decided to stop by Tecovas to look at a pair she was interested in. We were immediately greeted by one of their staff. (I wish I'd gotten her name, by the way.) Mom found the exact boots she wanted and asked for her size. The team member who took care of us brought out a different size and explained that the boots would fit better. Needless to say, she was right. She also told Mom not to worry if she changed her mind on the size as they had a thirty day return policy. Easy enough, right? Well, at this point, I decided I wanted to try on a pair as well. She told me the men's sizes ran a bit closer to fit. The boots I tried on fit perfectly and the leather is some of the softest I've ever worn. I ended up making an impulse purchase of these boots. The most surprising part is that the prices run significantly lower than most boot options -- for higher quality. I was a bit skeptical of this, but was pleasantly surprised. Went there (Domain) expecting a great boot buying experience. What we received was indifferent sales people, and this after waiting for 30 mins for anyone to talk to us. Boots are inexpensive, but you need to weight that with the time needed to get attention. After 30 mins of no attention, we left and went to Lucchese and was waited on immediately. Very nice people, no judgments. We walked out with $900 boots for my wifes birthday. She LOVES them. VERY disappointed with with Tecovas. Will never go back there. I love Tecovas products and have been buying from them for a few years now, so when I ended up in Austin for my birthday I was excited to visit in store to get some new boots. When we walked in everything was okay, we were greeted and assisted. I went in with the hopes of trying on some Annie's in either white or black but the girl assisting us said they didn't have my size in either. No big deal, or so I thought. After looking at a few other items two other girls walked in and I overheard them asking for the same boots same colors. And low and behold all of a sudden they had them in the back to try on. I watched from afar honestly very upset wondering why I was lied to and these two others were not? And I wonder why she didn't come back and tell me there was a mistake and they actually did have the pairs I was interested in? I wonder if the girl helping was newer but unfortunately didn't catch her name as she wasn't very engaging with me when she was trying to help. But thats still no excuse. I went at 10:15 am when doors open at 10am. I waited less than 5 minutes. It was helpful to try on the boots. They didn't have my exact color but I was able to try it on a different color. We ordered online for exactly what I want and hope to get it in a few days by mail. Doors were open the entire time so excellent ventilation for covid safety. Happy to not drive to downtown Austin.
