I was able to peek into other rooms available and there were many we wouldn't mind staying at again. We adored that each floor had a coffee table with an assortment of options. Each room had a different theme along with additional amenities, like fuzzy robes and beauty necessities. We listened to them cry about bedtime routines and were then awoken before 7am to more tears and sadness. I am well aware as a parent myself, that children are just that. Maybe the B&B should've considered renting a separate room to these guests, possibly on a different floor/adjacent space, considering we were the only two guests checked for the one evening. We were told not to worry about noise, because you couldn't hear a thing in between rooms. This was definitely not the case. We went down for breakfast at 8:30 only to be sat waiting with the young toddlers and their behavior all around the dining room. I now completely understand why other B&B's we've stayed at before have a 'no children' policy. We stayed in the Captain's Quarters (crows nest) and were instantly charmed by the antiques and very spacious, comfortable accomodations. Deborah was warm and welcoming upon our arrival, greeting my group of friends and me with warm brownies and fresh squeezed lemonade in our room. The room was neat and cozy, and we felt right at home. After a fun day in Grafton, we returned to a warm fire pit. Deborah thought of all the small touches such as lighting torches and offering big spray. In the morning, we were served the most delicious breakfast! I honestly can't pick a favorite portion, as it was all fantastic. I would highly recommend the Maple Leaf Cottage Inn, and can't wait until I can make a return trip!
