Surprisingly great authentic Bengali food. Everything I tried was on point and I sampled a whole ton of things because I want to buy the whole store every time I go to a Bengali restaurant just to see how good it is. So the kababs are really good and very cheap. I tried the chicken tikka kabab ($1.25) and some other chicken kabab that was $1 and they were both very flavorful and well marinated. Definitely large portions for the price. I also tried the moglai parata which had ground chicken and eggs inside and it was delicious! Somosas were also really good. Chicken patties, like everything else, were really really good. I liked the filing. My only slight complaint is that when the patties were heated, it doesn't remain flaky because it was heated in a microwave and not an oven. For the main course, I ordered a beef biryani which was perfect. I also ordered the goat curry with naan and it was also very good; a little on the spicy side but just the right amount though. As for dining in, don't do it! The restaurant is filled with Bengali men and you'll definitely be stared at if you're a female entering this establishment. Order food to go because this isn't a place you'll feel comfortable eating in if you're anything but a Bengali male. Overall great Bengali food for cheap! Can't wait to come back.

They brought me the food cold!! Then they heated it up after I asked them. Honestly it tasted AWFUL. It was too spicy and I like spicy. It wasn't a good spicy it was just spicy. And the meat tasted old. I didn't eat it. I was scared it would make me sick. And this place is LOUD. The noise level is very annoying. And it is completely men. It was just a packed room of Bengali men who mostly weren't eating just sitting and talking loudly. Atmosphere was awful.

Got goat curry with naan, the goat is flavorful, tender and moist. Just don't dine in, you'll be fine.

Pretty decent for a cheap dinner. Cost around $10 for dinner for one. Samosa is a bit small but good size.

Was starving late one night when I was coming home from work and decided to give them a try and my gosh, is this place GOOD! Came in for their chicken samosa ($1) and not only did it hit the spot but it also was very satisfying. The flavor was just right and it seems like they made everything from scratch including fresh herbs to bring out the right taste. I came back the next day for a proper meal and brought two more chicken samosa, pakora (2 for $1) and their chicken ross (I think that's how you spell it for $3 including an egg) and it was delicious. As for dining in, they only have two tables and eight seats total and they opened early (6am) and close late (11pm). I'm so glad I walked in and my only regret is wishing I would have step food in 15 years ago.

The liquid in the rasmalai was just heated up milk, extremely runny. Even the bathroom was impressively nice, which always says a lot about a restaurant's attention to detail. The food and drinks were on point. The crab fried rice, fried shrimp toast, rib lamb were all flavorful and well-prepared. One standout for me was the spring rolls--they were so good, crispy and packed with flavor. The drinks were also great, making the overall dining experience even better. Between the great food, nice atmosphere, and convenient location, it's definitely a place I'd go back to again. First, the owners are some of the kindest, most thoughtful hosts you could hope to meet. You can feel how much they care about their community the moment you walk in. They've also made real efforts to make the space accessible for different bodies, which is something that far too few restaurants consider. That level of intention and hospitality truly stands out. And then there's the food -- absolutely phenomenal. Every dish feels intentional, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Standouts for me: Shrimp Toast - the best I've ever had. Perfectly crisp, rich, and balanced. Duck - deeply flavorful and cooked to perfection. Ribs - tender, savory, and incredibly satisfying. Char Siu - sweet, smoky, and melt-in-your-mouth good. Eggplant - unbelievably delicious and a must-order. Monkey King is the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit. Amazing food, genuine hospitality, and a space that feels welcoming and thoughtful. Highly recommend supporting this gem.
