BUYERS BE AWARE. Purchased two Groupons for this place one for a facial and one for a double chin laser reduction. When. I called they told me I would need to separate appointments for both treatments. I booked my apt for a Saturday afternoon for the facial. I booked the double chin reduction about a week or so after on march 13 2023. I retuned for my Double chin reduction. I was at my appointment around 4:06pm. I did my check in and went into the back room with NAJLA Eskandari. Once we were in the room NAJLA denied me the service saying "I was not a qualified candidate". I asked for a refund for this service since nothing was provided she told me talk to Groupon. I decided to take it up with my credit card company Due to their "no refund policy" with Groupon. Just visited Milani Medspa for the first time. I had Botox with Masah and was impressed by her services. She listened to my concerns and was very efficient with the needle. Checking in was quick and easy, and the woman at the front desk was so nice! I enjoyed chatting with her while I waited (only briefly) for my appointment. I also appreciated that they have text message appointment reminders and a rewards system for repeat customers. The office is very clean, well-decorated, and conveniently located. She is a wealth of knowledge that recommended ways to prevent early aging including the use of sunscreen now that I spend a good amount of my day in front of computers (which emit UV rays that I wasn't protecting myself from). i purchased a package that included 2 treatments of kybella. I got ONE treatment done. At the time I knew I would be trying to conceive so I expressed my concern at the time (in the office) about them keeping the second treatment in my chart and they promised me it would never expire. I made an appointment 1.5 years later, after my pregnancy, for my second treatment. The person over the phone said she has to speak to Masa to confirm I had one left and they called me back and said all was good to go. When I got there they said I don't have another treatment left!! My fear came true that they wouldn't honor the package and of course they don't remember from over a year ago. Masa was extremely unprofessional, she was literally yelling at me saying she gave me 2 treatments when it's just not the case. I remember vividly the package and the plan because of my specific pregnancy concern and how it related to the 2 treatments. I am beyond disappointed in Milani's treatment of me, basically calling me a liar. They took a video of the one treatment being done 1.5 years ago, I sure would like to see that. They will pressure you to purchase Groupon package deals directly - do not do this because you won't have the backing of Groupon to ensure they provide you with the fill service. They wasted 2 hours of my time today that I took away from work (drive time, plus waiting in the lobby for 30 minutes past my appt time + the time they spent basically yelling at me and going back on their confirmation when making the appointment) They are extremely rude and I absolutely do not trust them read more

DR MILANI AND NURSE MAHSA TO THE RESCUE , I just want to tell everyone about what happen to me and how Dr. Milani and RN. Mahsa helped me. I got filler injection on my nose 2 weeks ago on Wednesday in Maryland with someone with no license.on Friday I saw some bruise tip of my nose all the way through my forehead. On Saturday the bruise start turning black, I went to ER, I send a text to Dr Milani with a picture of my nose and told him what happened. He was in Miami and answered me immediately letting me know that filler caused vascular occlusion and if it doesn't get dissolved it'll turn to Necrosis. I saw a plastic surgeon and got 2 vials of dissolver , but Sunday almost half of the tip of my nose turned black, I went go another ER , they treated me for infection, and they send me home. In the afternoon I have severe pain and black spot was getting bigger. I send another message to Dr Milani and he responded to me immediately he was in a plane and getting ready to take off, he let me know i have to go to Fairfax hospital immediately and more dissolving is needed. I went to ER, I was having panic attacks and nervous breakdown, they wanted to transport me to another hospital to go in hyperbaric chamber, but thankfully I saw Dr Milani First thing Monday morning, and I Met Mahsa , lovely RN in Milani MedSpa. My case was very risky and they could have just let me know they can't take my case and send me to a plastic surgeon, Dr. Milani and Mahsa accepted me and started treatment immediately, Mahsa gave me more dissolver , also Dr Milani and Mahsa were in contact with several plastic surgeons about my case, they ordered me a portable oxygen and taped it to my nose in order to oxygenate my nose. Also they gave me antibiotics and been seeing me everyday since , all I can say is if I could give them more than 5 stars i definitely would. I'm confused about the Groupon deal I purchased for 40 units of Dysport, I was only given 20 units! I was told Dysport is compared to Botox 40 units-- WHAT?? I still don't understand what that means when I purchased Dysport 40 units. No blame on the doctor if I completely misunderstood, I am very new to injections! Milan's is a nice spa the staff is very friendly. I like Dr. Milani and Masah both can be a little aggressive, but it's a business and I get that! I went in for Dysport for simple lines on my forehead. I now have lowered brows and it looks and feels very badly. It will wear off in 3 months but this is what happens when it is placed in the wrong place or when you are given too much. I have a feeling it is a combination. What ruffled my feathers was I have called the office TWICE and never received the courtesy of a call back. I have been going to Milani's for six months now. Dr Milani and his staff and very friendly and their prices are fantastic. The new office is beautiful and I am always happy to go to the spa. Naz who runs the appointment book is so friendly and is very flexible if you have appointment changes. Najla is a great technician who is patient and understanding. It had been a while since my last Botox injection and so I scheduled an appointment with PA Mahtab. Her calm demeanor helped ease a lot of anxiety and explained what options I have based on what I tried to explain what I wanted done. Mahtab did such a wonderful job and I barely felt anything. I have been coming to Milani spa for skin treatments such as dermal infusion facial , and dermaplaning sessions which I get from Marcela who is such a great aesthetician. Good prices but the aestheticians are not great. I got an 'threads' treatment that resulted in the recurring skin infection. The spa saw me immediately and put me on antibiotics which cured the infection. Instead of acting like a filler, it ended up looking like I have a scar. The only reason I am giving this establishment a 2 star is because of my amazing dermatologist Marcela who helped me through this entire process. The lady at the front desk though, Salama, was extremely rude and nasty. I had informed her I was running late and made it to the medspa exactly 15 minutes after my appointment (which she said was ok over the phone). She started our whole interaction in the rudest way, rolling her eyes, being dismissive, and getting loud without properly explaining anything. In front of the other clients she was shouting about cancelling the appointment and instead of calmly explaining policy she just escalated the situation. I am a paying adult, I wasn't begging for free services, I did not deserve to be treated like that and no client deserves that behavior. I don't know if it was because I am black, or muslim, or if she was just having a bad day, but that is not acceptable behavior in the least. When you go to a seemingly amazing establishment but have such a bad experience before actually getting the treatment you had paid for it puts such a sour taste in your mouth. It is not my job to calm the receptionist down or ask her to treat me with respect. Marcela on the other hand was amazing and understanding. If it weren't for the extremely rude receptionist, I would have given this place a 5 star rating.... Please properly train people on basic customer service skills. The person administering the procedure was cold, insensitive and had no customer service skills whatsoever. Even though I expressed my discomfort with needles, she made no attempts to reassure me or tried to reduce my fear. I felt every poke of the needle. I felt she was more concerned in getting done than taking her time to do a professional job and put the customer at ease. I doubt very much that she used the entire units purchased as there was no indication that most of the areas that should have been treated were treated. Before I was treated, there was no frown lines between my eyebrows. After the procedure, there was a deep frown line due to injections on either side of my eyebrow but not in the middle. I feel that I should have gotten my money back as I did not receive the services that I purchased. I definitely will not go back to this spa and I would not recommend it to anyone. The service was very poor considering the cost you have to pay. They are grossly overpriced even with the groupon. Don't waste your time and money; there are many customer friendly salons around town that are professional, customer friendly and much more reasonable priced for the same procedures. read more
