They received my medical records and imaging, then lost my file. After more follow-up, I was told my records had also not been properly sent over for review, causing even more delay. Then, after weeks of waiting while I was recovering from broken bones, they finally determined that they do not even accept my insurance. So OPA lost my file, failed to process my records correctly, delayed the medical review, communicated poorly throughout the process, and then only after all of that figured out that they could not see me because of my insurance. That is an unacceptable level of incompetence for a medical office dealing with injured patients. This was not just an inconvenience. I needed timely orthopedic care after a major accident, and their administrative failures wasted weeks of my recovery. I would not recommend OPA Orthopedics based on my experience.

I'm a cancer survivor, among other stuff. Nothing about my care is easy, straightforward. Some of my troubles have taken years to bring under control. Dr Hodne is the best partner, life coach, and caregiver anyone can ask for. She and her team have gone above and beyond for me, time and again. Two strategies are proven to improve patient outcomes. Constructive long-term relationships, obviously. Emphasizing wellness over treating disease. Knowing this, I enthusiastically supported Greenlake's switch to a concierge model. The concierge model is a rejection of our nation's immoral, inefficient, profiteering fee-for-service model. It's a return to our Rockwell-esque notions of the family doctor. It allows doctors to spend as much time as needed with a patient, to do research, to coordinate all the referrals, to do battle with insurers, etc. No one is getting rich in family practice. Or running an independent clinic. Do the math, read the news. The providers at Greenlake Primary Care are making huge sacrifices. Just to keep the lights on. Just to deliver actual healthcare. Yes, concierge requires memberships to make it work. Until our nation adopts Medicare For All, it's the best available option. I chose to be a member, despite living off credit cards (at the time), because I wanted to get better. I chose correctly. You can too.

I very much like Dr Blahous as a doctor, yet am being charged for services what were not clearly explained, and his staff's mis-scheduling of my appointment. I called to schedule a cortisone treatment in my foot, I had this with him once before with good success. Upon arrival, I was told the treatment that I was scheduled for (and took the morning off work for) couldn't be done at that office. I was still charged for the visit and encouraged to get x-rays "since I was there anyway". Once rescheduled at the correct office, I received the injection and had zero benefit from it, meaning no relief for the pain. Never had I been told during either treatment that this procedure was a "maybe", only that they could be very specific about the injection location due to their technology. Never was I informed that sometimes this doesn't give any benefit whatsoever. When I addressed the over the phone with a nurse - after having tried to reach someone 3 times over 2 weeks - I was told, "well, everyone knows that nothing medical is 100% guaranteed". She was rather rude and dismissive, yet I figured that was part of her job to shut down people who go away that easily. Still feeling the charges shouldn't be 100%, I wrote a letter stating my option of the situation and request for consideration of a reduced bill. Honestly, even a simple reduction for their poor communications, scheduling errors and very slow response time to patient request for a nurse call would have been satisfactory would have been the respectful and decent thing to do after their oversights and errors. Nope - I just received a call that "Dr Blahous has reviewed his records and your charges and he has decided to let the charges stand as they are. He believes the services warrant payment in full." And then she goes on to tell me to call to make payment arrangements. I'll pay it. And I will tell anyone whenever the opportunity allows how I was treated by the team with Dr Blahous and the Sports Medicine Clinic.

This was completed at Swedish Breast Center in Edmonds, and yet another physician evaluated the results and found it inconclusive. An MRI was strongly recommended. My physician finally convinced the insurance company to approve the MRI. Fast forward to 11/22/24 with an early afternoon MRI appointment at Seattle Radiology on Seattle's First Hill neighborhood. Scheduling was thorough and professional. Park in the parking garage adjacent to the Nordstrom Tower versus street parking. Payment is via QR code at the end, just follow the prompts. Likewise, this location is accessible via Metro Rapid Ride Route G along Madison. Seattle Radiology is located on the 9th floor. Check-in at the reception desk where ID and insurance coverage card will be requested. Other documents are reviewed, signed, dated via an adjacent screen. Additional paperwork will be provided via clipboard to be completed. Waiting area is clean with comfortable seating, has a calming aquarium, lots of natural light, and nice views. Unisex restroom is conveniently located nearby. Pro tips: shower but refrain from using any deodorant, lotions, makeup, fragrance. Eat sparingly, be hydrated. Use the restroom before the MRI appointment. My name was finally called, where I was brought back by an MRI technologist, completed & verified information, shown a locker area to change from street clothes to blue scrubs and lock up one's personal belongings. An IV line was started and flushed. This is where the contrast dye was injected. I was then situated appropriately just outside the MRI tube. An overview and an opportunity to ask questions was provided. A communication squeeze gadget was placed in one hand, warm blanket placed on me, and headphones placed over my ears. I was placed in the tube. I closed my eyes, focused on remaining calm and still as the testing commenced. Thankfully, the 45 minute session was completed in three increments without incident. I did not feel rushed or claustrophobic during my entire appointment. The technologist had a pleasant and professional demeanor. This was reassuring regarding their competency to oversee this MRI procedure. I am still awaiting the final results. However, from scheduling, check-in, and completing the MRI procedure, I had a positive experience at Seattle Radiology.

We were there for quite some time, however, the staff were understanding, helpful and timely in their care. The doc on staff was pretty straight forward in her approach for the vertigo. Overall glad we visited and happy with the visit.

After months of injections and being told to try Voltaren cream with no real investigation, I got an MRI elsewhere that revealed discogenic L4-L5 pain and an 8mm tear right away. Doctor # 2: Given outdated and unnecessary paperwork to complete (according to my insurance and the UW customer service)- haven't these people bothered to check in the last 4 years what papers are in patient care packets? Called in for a serious reaction after surgery- could be blood clots they said. Then said would set up appointment for procedure to check on possible clots (their words, "possible blood clots")....still waiting....sent email asking about appointment...still waiting on response. Guess I'll be going to the ER to get this checked on then? Why put the idea of blood clots in my mind and then drop the follow-up to get me seen for this life threatening condition? Customer representatives when you call into the clinic are rude, curt and useless. When I have been in the waiting room, have heard them taking about patients, mocking them and making fun. Shame on you making fun of sick people in pain.
