I have been going to Radiology Associates for all of my imaging for over 25 years. They have given me great care, it's easy to schedule, and my medical records are easy to access via their patient portal. My docs always get the reports within a few days. Today I had a lumbar epidural steroid injection by Dr Selph, an interventional radiologist who works for Radiology Associates. When I first saw him for an evaluation of treatment options for my pain, I was Refered by back surgeon Dr Sabatino. I had been told by Dr Sabatino that I had a compression fracture of the L5 vertebra. When Dr Selph looked at the same images, he said it was not that at all. Instead he found evidence that I had a more rare disc herniation where the disc material was extruded out through the tear, and ended up next to the L5 vertebra. This caused it to appear as bone marrow edema from a fracture, making options for repair completely different. I may have undergone a surgery that wouldn't have worked because of it. Instead Dr Selph did the epidural steroid injection and it has already begun to ease the pain I was experiencing. I can't say enough good things about Dr Selph. He is friendly, very intelligent, highly trained, and really good at explaining everything clearly to me. He showed me exactly what was going on my MRI, and explained exactly why he came to a different opinion on my diagnosis. I asked for Dr Selph to be the doc who did my epidural today, and again he was so good. I high recommend him to be the one who reads your imaging, and to be the one who actually does your procedures or surgeries. Apparently he is highly respected by his coworkers and the nurses couldn't say enough good things about his competence as a doctor, as well as his kindness and generosity as a person. You can't get better than that! I trusted him and it worked out well for me. I suggest you can trust him too! read more

I've had an appointment scheduled for weeks for a Tuesday afternoon. The day prior to my appointment when I got off work that Monday, I noticed they texted and tried calling me to confirm my appointment. Since I don't have access to my phone during normal business hours, I didn't receive these messages until around 5pm when I got home from work. I replied to the text to confirm the appointment, but didn't get the usual automated response. Although I didn't have any notification on my phone of any Voicemails, I checked anyway and had three! Upon listening to the most recent Voicemail, I discovered that my appointment had been cancelled, due to not having confirmed the appointment. Utterly ridiculous. If they require a confirmation to keep an appointment, the text should have come much sooner. read more

I was seen for a yearly ultrasound check up and noticed their records will now be digital access only. I requested to have a few of my medical results give to me via CD and Mel at the front desk was kind and accommodating. She went out of her way to get me the records I asked for and answered all my questions. The ultrasound technician was also professional and kind. read more

It will be difficult to send your results. They have stopped producing discs snd have no records department. It is not possible to send your results through the patient portal as a file. read more

I was informed that Pam is the head of this department. In no uncertain terms this women and department are INCOMPETENT! I tried to receive my Images with multiple emails for the MRI weeks before my surgery! I FOLLOWED YOUR RULES. I sent you emails and my doctor sent you emails making sure you had the medical release form as you requested. I followed up multiple times for the MRI Images. They were never sent! You did not do your job! It is not your place to have a Radiologist describe my Images and decide that is enough! YOU AND ALL THE LAZY EMPLOYEES THAT DID NOT DO THIS SIMPLE REQUEST SHOULD BE FIRED! My doctor is the one that is responsible for taking care of my body not you! read more

Trying to schedule a simple mammogram. Received my link to schedule an appointment, and of course it doesn't work (New name Adventist but same crappy service). My link opens and I can get to the point of picking a date and time. Doesn't matter what date or time I choose, I continue to be told I have to pick a time. Tried different ways to access or using scheduling...gets stuck at the same point. Calling is not good at all because they tell you to use the link and there isn't an option to schedule. This service is a nightmare but where I live Adventist has a monopoly on care so nothing I can do to go somewhere else. read more

This review addresses Radiology Associates for the CA Central Coast region. Due to recent equipment upgrades, Radiology Associates has not been able to provide patients (only Doctors) with X-Ray and MRI imagery and has not resolved its patient portal issues nor established procedures to do so, which is problematic, since they stopped providing files on CD. My attempts to address this have been met by non-responsiveness to phone messages to a supervisor (Pam T.) and unprofessional and incomplete e-mail responses (Isaac Pena, who only identifies as Medical Records/Front Desk). Until resolved, I recommend getting MRIs and X-Rays done at Santa Ynez Cottage hospital, which has a more professional staff with established procedures. I do not recommend going to Marian Hospital, due to the amount of malpractice, non-responsiveness, and unprofessional behavior going on there. read more

Terrible service about my wife, the shot was of no use because the "specialist" despite repeating several times which was the affected area, did it where she believed and my Dr. confirmed that the test didn't work for the requested study. I recommended that you train your staff not to pay for studies that are not worthwhile and harm patients. read more

They never answer the phone I've called several times to try to make an appointment... doesn't seem like anyone there wants to work.

The waiting room is comfortable. They got me in super fast which I was glad about because i had to fast all night. I got a UGI done and the doctors were accommodating and gave clear instructions during the process of the screening. I would definitely recommend this location over others in the county. I'm not sure why other people have left bad reviews - just call your primary doctor and make sure they fax the request for tests. They process it within 2-3 days then you're able to get an appointment easily! read more

Can not get images to our doctor for second opinion - absolutely unacceptable - we will never have imaging done here again - life threatening diseases need diagnostic reviews by doctors but impossible to get the images to the doctor for review read more

Great experience every time I come here with friendly back office staff and competent technicians. The problem is their phone answering system and inability to talk to a real person when making an appointment. A business like this is going to have by nature an older clientele. Many of us do not know how or don't want to make an appointment on line. The phone tree system is difficult to navigate. Not taking walk-ins any more in Templeton as of 9/11/23. It seems RDC is no longer practicing the Lean tenant of respect for people. They report they were also not getting customers answering calls for cancellation list openings, so no longer have a cancellation list. Patients now have to call repeatedly asking if there's been any cancellations. This puts the responsibility on the patient and additional muda (wasted time) on the office staff. I'm sure there are factors I'm not disposed to, such as rising costs and reduced health coverage revenue, but the fact remains that they are not listening to the voice of the customer. The customer wants to be able to walk-in when their 15-YO kid is on crutches and may have a broken leg. Save your time and give your business to Templeton imaging. read more

I had an MRI done and no images were ever given to me . I was promised a report and images would be uploaded to patient portal and the images were never loaded. They then gave me a cd .. I then called and spoke with a staff member and he said " i don't know what to tell you" very unprofessional. read more

This office is horrible. After calling multiple times requesting a bill, twice now instead of sending me a bill They sent it to collections. They didn't even run my insurance. Don't do here unless you want to be take to collections for the full bill without ever even receiving an invoice. read more

Calling this location is great. There is always a person to talk to not an answering service. The people at the front desk are caring and willing to answer all questions. This place is so much better than other locations. The service I received was one of the best I have had in the last 40 years. I highly recommend them. read more

Why even schedule appointments? Sitting in the lobby waiting 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment...it's was supposed to be at 7:15 AM. So WHY the delay, YOU JUST OPENED UP? Horrible. I will never come back. This is the 3rd time I have waited for this long at this location. I'm not late for my appointments, and they should try to do their best to adhere to appointment times. Had a very good experience from the time I checked in until my scan was completed. Only problem was the sound emanating from the MRI for which I was given ear plugs but which were not sufficient to block the loud sounds. I have had MRIs before and the sound was never so loud that my ears were ringing for days. Maybe invest in better ear plugs? read more

Worst billing setup I've ever come across. Tried 9 times to pay through their patient portal, on two different devices, and every try failed to transfer. Called their number and waited 10-15 minutes with no answer. I tried several times to contact them through their website link, asking for help and to call me on my registered number, but no call every received. They performed a CT scan when I was in French Hospital ER, and the tech was good, but if possible I would have avoided this company at all costs. read more

Horrible experience. Drive up to Templeton from Santa Maria because they are too busy in Santa Maria with imagining that they told me they are only working with my Anthem insurance through today and then they are no longer working with Anthem Blue cross. Get here and they tell me oh we canceled your appointment last night (found a missed call from them on my phone I did miss). They try to reschedule me next week knowing that'll cost me $1,100 since it'll be no longer covered by insurance. Finally after arguing with the from desk and manager they add me in later today. At least it'll get done but now I'm stuck basically taking the whole day off of work and can't eat or drink anything including water (been fasting since last night) until later this afternoon. Why are they no longer working with one of the biggest local insurance coverages after today? Very unprofessional to place a call not answered at 6pm the evening before a morning appointment and not try again or use the texting service or email service that confirmed the appointments in the first place. The staff get 5 stars, they're friendly and courteous. Mel at the front desk has been amazing, Michael and Christina in the MRI department are awesome as well. I've had quite a few hiccups in getting in here but none of that was their fault. Been going here for close to twenty years if not longer, appreciate their efforts to improve client portal and scheduling. The only loss of star is due to recommendation for better prescreening questions on MRI (for nursing mothers) and improved scheduling. read more

Twice I have driven from AG to Templeton for a scheduled US imaging study, only to arrive and be told that for some undisclosed reason it cannot be done that day but they can reschedule me for another day. Front Office Staff was absolutely AWFUL/HATEFUL, while the tech was unfriendly (didn't help my anxiety and claustrophobia prior to the MRI) during the fake*emic! Now it is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to get through to them on the phone to schedule an appointment. Their lines ring and ring and ring and then a message, "I'm afraid all of the representatives are busy at the moment...please hold while somebody becomes available." This happens more often than not. I've now been on hold for 15 minutes!!! Then after some time, the messaging system asks for your phone number and name and they'll call you back. That's a joke. They are just kidding, since after several attempts, they have NEVER called me back. It's absolutely exasperating! Almost impossible to speak to a customer service rep as you have to wait on hold forever. And if you opt for a callback (to avoid the endless "hold"), it takes hours for (or longer!) for them to call you. Horrible service. read more
