The correct name of this business is XPRESS TECH. They use the name Radio Shack, but they are not the Radio Shack that we remember from the past. They use Square, which is a payment processor used by thousands of small businesses, to process purchases made via credit card. Square runs the credit card transaction, sends the charge to your bank, and then deposits money into the merchant's account. The merchant in this case is XPRESS TECH. If you use a credit card to make a purchase from this store, the charge will appear under the name SQ *XPRESS TECH on the list of your credit card transactions. I originally called this store thinking it was a Radio Shack like I was accustomed to from the past. I bought a Universal Power Supply on 11/24/25 over the phone with the help of Joey, who identified himself as the manager. Later that same day I decided that I no longer wanted the Universal Power Supply and I called the store back to inform Joey of my decision. Joey was fine with the refund, but told me that since the purchase was originally handled over the phone and not by swiping my credit card in person in the store, I would need to go to the store in person so that my credit card could be swiped to complete the refund. In order to cooperate with Joey's instructions, I drove to the store in Brodheadsville, PA and he processed the refund on 11/25/25 in the store. Joey then gave me a printed receipt documenting the refund. Once the refund was processed in person in the store by Joey, I continued to monitor my credit card account online to make sure that the refund was initiated. When it looked like the refund was not going to be processed, I filed a dispute with my credit card company. In the end, I got my refund but it took over two months to get it. The alarming part of it all was that at one point in the process XPRESS TECH actually tried to deny my refund with my credit card company by claiming that I did not follow their policies. Excuse me? To be clear, Joey handled the sale, return and refund processes for me. I followed every step that Joey had asked me to follow. Honestly, I am glad this ordeal is over and that I got my refund. Zero issues here. I called several weeks ago to have a screen replaced on my phone. Then told them i would follow up in a few days. I didn't. I showed up on Monday and told the gal i wouldn't be able to drop it off and would need an appointment due to work. I pre-purchased the screen and protector. When i came in daya prior to my appointment, the repair tech said no problem, fixed it while i waited. Also applied my new screen protector. Have had 0 issues with the screen since then and all is well. read more

This Broadheadsville radio shack is the absolute worst place i have ever purchased anything from, the biggest rip-off, overcharging, scamming sneaky salesman ive ever dealt with. All while being extremely nice to me constantly calling me buddy from the moment i entered the store! Bottom line is I purchased a police/fire dept. scanner to replace my well worn and used older model. I paid $394.00 in cash for my new scanner plus batteries and a batt. charger. Went out to my car and turned it on. It looked to be used in the sunlight and I quickly found it was very difficult to manage the functions and buttons. Decided to look up the price online as at that point i felt i paid way too much for this unit. Immediately, Amazon's price shows $108.00. For the same exact model !! I began putting the scanner back into its box and made sure i was careful and included all the pieces with it. As i was surely going to return this way overpriced one i had just 10 minutes earlier paid for. Find the reciept and right back in the store i go. Salesman still there and i say i want to return the scanner. He says yes you can return it but you will only be given store credit back. I had no idea such a lousy, unheard of by me, return policy existed from Radio Shack? I was shocked but kept my cool and have 7 days to decide to return or not. Showed him amazons price at $108 and he starts putting amazon down as if Amazon is a big rip off!! No buddy-You are the Big Rip Off and you are a terrible person. Period. You will reap what you sow my friend. Just remember that. You clearly ripped me off! Do not! Do not go into this store! Avoid! Its a terrible experience and the employees there are all soul less people with no goodness in them. Dont ever let them fool you as they fooled me. I try to use local stores. When possible knowing i might pay a little more. Put my trust in Radioshack. No fool like an old fool. Should have read the revues. Paid $319 for a router, told thats the best. It works only to find out i could have bought for around $75 anywhere else. Retired and on a fixed income its hard to take. Gives local stores a bad name. I tried to get a cord to hook up my Blue Ridge streaming device to my TV and Denon stereo. No matter what I told them, they refused to listen 'thinking' they know better than I as to what I need. Within 15 minutes I was back telling them once again that the cord they made me buy for $30 on sale was wrong. Apparently there is a no cash back policy and insisted I had the right cord and explained how to hook it up. WRONG AGAIN. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone, they are idiots and liars. And, went there for help and was billed $40 for one HDMI switch (which they suggested) And, it doesn't work with my computer/monitor configuration. High prices for something I'd pay half elsewhere. Went back to exchange it for something else and they were going to charge me same price plus additional for another cable set up. I will not be going back. read more

Was referred to this "dealer" by radioshack.com (not really RadioShack any more - they just use the name). Purchased a 16-pack of RadioShack AAA batteries and was charged $29.99. Purchased a 16-pack of RadioShack AA batteries and was given a "50% off deal" and charged $14.99. The web site sells each for $7.99 each. I was a RadioShack store associate when the real RadioShack was in business. We typically charged $20 for a RadioShack 40-pack of batteries. This "dealer" is a sleazy scam artist.
