That time I didn't have a part number with me so I just smiled as the salesman told me "we don't have that" then went and found it myself. He seemed unimpressed when I took my purchase to the register. This store would be infinitely better if they would build a jail cell style cage around the register area and lock the salespeople in there for the duration of their shift. That way I could browse around to find what I need without them harassing me with their ignorance. And who knows, I might even find another item or two to buy if I wasn't trying to get away from them as quickly as possible.

So we both go back to the store. And it wasn't a horrid experience as I've had in the past. We were in the store plenty long enough to see exactly how they operate by phone. Another guy was busily trying to access information from... somewhere, so he insisted his customer was impatiently waiting for an answer. Problem... he didn't have a customer. Beyond that, we got a phone, had some laughs, and didn't feel too bad about the experience. It will not be my first choice for shopping electronics - never has been.
