The guest service is close to the bottom. Their guest relations manager is hard to get. She is not responsive never returns call. We had 8 rooms booked for 3 nights. The internet did not work at all. The front desk promised a 20% reduction. Since than we are trying to get hold of the person onsite we booked it through. She has been ghosting us Guest Relations is terrible Responsiveness. Stayed overnight with a wedding block last weekend. Reserved a king size bed. As we arrived, we dropped our bags in the hotel room and had to catch a bus for the wedding. On our return at midnight, i noticed they put us in a handicap room, which had no bathroom vanity, bed was low to the floor and smaller than queen size. Walls in bathroom were dirty and in the morning found a stink bug in the coffee cup. We were on the first floor, end room, so we heard the outside door slamming all night. If it wasn't midnight, i would have immediately requested a change in rooms. The bartender in the lounge was not happy to be there. Many of the guests said the same thing the next day. The seltzer or ice had a disgusting taste which everyone was also talking about. Maybe the lines have not been cleaned in the soda dispensers. Overall i would rate this hotel a ZERO. read more

Stayed here for a wedding and was a solid hotel. Check in was pleasant and easy. Did it over the phone a few nights prior and there were no glitches. The room was standard for a hotel chain. Two queen beds, closet, refrigerator. Everything was clean and no weird smells. Plenty of towels and nothing out of the ordinary. The bed was comfortable enough, sheets clean. Wasn't too noisy in the room tho you could hear some conversations. Check out was easy as well. Did it through email and just dropped the keys off at the desk. A good hotel. read more

My friend had a block of rooms here tonight for their wedding. When we arrived to check-in they told us that all the rooms were booked, even though we had a room reservation! This happened to a few other people as well. They said their systems were down, but I still don't understand how they could mess up so badly. The bride's parents went to their room which they checked into earlier today and saw that someone else had put their stuff into that room, which is just a nightmare. The hotel told us they could put us in another hotel about a half hour away, but told us we'd have to pay for our own taxi to get there. There's also a shuttle from here to the wedding venue tomorrow, which the other hotel won't have. I don't think I'll ever stay at a Radisson again after this experience. read more

Spent one night here on Thanksgiving. It was a 7 minute drive from where we spending the holiday with our family. The room was clean and comfy, what more can you ask for? I frequently come to the Freehold area for work, and I stay at the Radisson quite a few times. The front desk people are very friendly and there's free parking. The rooms are nice but could be updated a bit. Wish there were microwaves in the rooms. There's also a Restaurant that closes late at night around 10 o'clock. I've enjoyed my stays here! read more

Traveling with children? Beware! Had a booking with hotels.com and was turned away after arriving at 6:30pm with my 1 1/2 Year old as they over booked. So now I need to find a new place to stay with my toddler. My advice is stay away from this Radisson. read more

Where do I start? I booked and got a confirmation email with my credit card info. Got there and they wanted an $200 plus a $100 deposit for the room. My mistake was to assume I was charged but when you enter your credit card info and get a confirmation email with a summary of charges, it's kinda hard not to assume you've been charged. The front desk girl was sooooo nice. I have nothing negative to say about her. I had lunch at their restaurant. No one was there. The server lady was super nice as well. I asked for a beer and was told that the bar tender wouldn't get there until 5pm. Chicken tenders and fries were good. Now, checking into my room. Walking to the elevator, the floors were sticky, every I was in room 301. Not sure if this was just THAT room but I can't imagine all the other rooms look any better. See pictures below and you be the judge. Would I have paid $200? Fk no! Motel 6 has better rooms this. They claim to be a four-star restaurant. Is this even close to a 3-star? After arranging with Raddison a year in advance to have an after party at the hotel bar .We arrived and were told the bar was closed due to an emergency. No notification was given . It turns out 2 other weddings were also having after parties and were also turned away.There were about50 to 75 people in the hotel lobby looking forward to the after party.It turns out the only bartender they had a car accident 3 days prior and no one was called to cover for them. I am shocked a place such as Raddison has such inept management and staff.I would never schedule any type of event or stay ever again. read more

Hotel is okay, I stayed for a friends wedding and the lady checking me into the hotel had no clue what she was doing. It took over 30 mins to check in and she put 3 different $100 holds on my card........ I am used to hotels taking a deposit in case something goes wrong but when you make me put 3 deposits because you don't know how to do your job, that is sorry. I tried asking nicely why there was multiple holds not just 1 and the worker couldn't give me a straight answer. She asked for my card a handful of times even though I already paid the hold. I don't know if she was pocketing some of the money but was super annoying and will never stay here again. read more

I am only reviewing the actual hotel room- we attended an event in the crystal ballroom and the event space was clean and beautiful. The very overpriced hotel room was not. It reeked of mildew/mold and was so hot when we arrived in our room. We turned the ac on and looked around... everything is generally run down, dingy, peeling, etc. The rooms need an update. The carpet was filthy. The shower is just a partial glass wall, the showerhead is on the ceiling and cannot be adjusted, it is so awkward and water goes everywhere in what has to be the smallest bathroom history. NYC hotels have larger bathrooms, it's crazy. A few good things were that there was a mini fridge and the bed looked clean. Also the staff were very nice when we arrived before check in time from a long ride and parking is free. We paid almost $400 for one night so I was not happy with the value of the room, I would never stay here again unless they completely renovated. read more

Not toddler friendly I'm sure this place is fine for business travelers. But for those with young kids, as with us and our 3 year old, be warned. The sleeping options is either a crib or a dangerously high bed. So if your kid hasn't quite yet mastered the art of not falling off a bed while sleeping, avoid this place. When we presented our concern to the staff they gave us two extra blankets and two extra pillows to put on the floor. There were no cots, no pullout beds, no extra suitcase table to put next to the bed, available. The restaurant is closed on M and T ( as is room service for food). The usual overpriced convenience store carries cereal, but no milk. Think about that. The air conditioning unit was either super cold or off. We set at 75 and low fan but I swear the temp in here was 65. So we ended up turning the unit off and on every hour or so, so our kid wouldn't swe then catch cold. The room I stayed in could use some attention. The furnishings seemed a bit worn, and there were signs of aging in the bathroom. A refresh of the rooms would greatly enhance the overall guest experience. Unfortunately, noise from the hallway and neighboring rooms was noticeable. Thicker walls or improved soundproofing could mitigate this issue and ensure a more peaceful stay. One night my neighbors were literally in a huge brawl, and I had to be to work the next day. It was crazy. Please note that this is the residential hotel for weddings so on the weekends things can get a lil crazy and out of control. Also note that there is nearly no parking on the weekends as well. Despite the fact that this is an older hotel, The cleanliness of the common areas was awesome. It was always a nice fresh scent in the hallways. My toilet got backed up into my bath rub on a couple of occasions. The maintenance guy was super sweet. In summary, The Radisson is a middle-of-the-road option. While it met basic needs and offered a convenient location at a reasonable price, there are areas, such as room condition, noise levels, and customer service, where improvements could make a significant difference. Stayed here 3 nights and inquired to extend a 4th. Said ok and quoted and signed for a certain rate. Next day I saw a charge that was 70 dollars more than agreed price. Inquire at front desk at 3 pm and was told either pay the new price or get out in half hour. Have stayed here many times over last 4 years, never again. Wry hard to maintain a consistent temp in rooms, always playing with thermostat. Also tv and stations are terrible, drawers won't stay shut, no outlets by end tables, manager was rude and just kept repeating rehearsed lines. Her name was Sam(Samantha)? They lost a customer that has stayed here many nights over 70 dollars and a jackass manager. Never again!!!!!! Only became abusive due to your smug incompetent manager getting off on power. Her feelings need to be hurt a little. You lied with a quote and then charged another rate. You should have honored what you quoted. read more

When I found out the following week, I called the hotel and spoke with the manager, Samantha She assured me I would not be charged foe the room. However they did bill me and I have tried to speak with her at least 6 times and she never calls back. I will never, ever book a Radisson hotel again. My wife and I made a mistake and actually couldn't stay here. The man at the front desk was absolutely amazing. We did go to our room but unfortunately due to personal reasons we couldn't stay. But I have to say the room was amazing. Very clean and big. We would have been very comfortable there. A few hours after we left we realized we left something very valuable in the room. They found it and kept it safe until I could come get it. Thank you to the managers and the front desk staff. And to the man that was the front desk who personally helped me and spoke to me, I hope management realizes and appreciates what you do. read more

This rating is mainly in terms of the nasty toilet. Shower looked a little dirtyish too but maybe just the worn out tile. Made the reservation Friday to get the last room For Saturday night. Suite for $200 plus they add on random $100 charge which is to drop off in 3-5 business days. No early check in due to being at capacity so earliest check in time would of been 4pm. Seeing the toilet had me question how clean the rest of the room may have been but rest of room looked ok. Fyi you have until 6pm day of stay to cancel if you need to. $339.57 one night charge. read more

Passing through for work, when my truck starts to have problems. Check in at dealership and this is where they suggested I stay. Got a lift down here and it is in a nice area. Even though it's pretty cold outside, it was still within walking distance of food. Check in and go up to room. Must be the off season and it is not very full. Nice clean room, lots of amenities such as personal items for the shower, bottled waters, coffee station, snack and drink machines on every floor, basic television channels. Rooms were clean, staff were nice... stayed here for three nights during the snow storm and I got stuck in my parking lot the whole three times. They're very close to the hospital so I would think they'd be a little more proactive in clearing the snow... knowing we stay there. Luckily strangers got together to push us out. They plowed at weird hours like at midnight ??? I gave a fair review because it really was heavy snow for three days but .. Spent the night after a wedding... we returned from reception at 2 am and a 5:30 music so loud in the lobby. It woke us up. We thought it was a few minutes , but it lasted all morning that we couldnt sleep. We decided to just get up and check out and drive the three hours home. We attended a wedding here as well as stayed the evening. The rooms are clean and a good size. The staff was very friendly and they follow safety precautions. The wedding we attended was in the crystal palace, the space wasn't super huge but a good size for a moderate sized wedding. The food at the wedding was not good. Not a lot of options for cocktail hour and no one really knew where the bar was during cocktail hour and the line to get anything were too long. They were not on top of everything during the wedding as people were searching for a good half hour before dinner was served before the bar inside was open. I definitely wouldn't recommend someone to have an event as important as a wedding. read more

Nothing overwhelmingly positive about this hotel. It's a pretty standard Radisson except the prices are pretty high. Might be because there isn't a ton of competition around, but I don't think it was worth it. I stayed here as part of a wedding party for a couple nights. I was in the wedding so it didn't really make sense to stay elsewhere. When I booked the room, I wasn't sure how many people would be staying with me so they added on $20/night in case we had 4 guests instead of two. Most hotels don't even charge for extra guests as long as it's 4 or under so I'm not sure why they would even uphold that antiquated policy. I ended up only having two people in the room so I stopped by the front desk before the wedding to update the reservation and save myself the $40. They said they couldn't do it without a manager approval and that I'd need to come back. I asked if they could take a not note and pass it on the manager because I was heading out to a wedding and they said no and that I'd need to come back later. The wedding went pretty late so I didn't bother until checkout the next morning. I'm not sure why this was so confusing for them, but it took almost a half hour for them to remedy the bill and ended up having to refund and recharge my card in the process. After all was said and done, I also had some sort of snack item from the gift shop on my bill that nobody in my room requested. I've always wondered what happens if someone picks something up and asks for it to be put on "xyz" room number. Turns out, they put it on that room even if you aren't the one who got the item. After the fiasco I had just gone through, I didn't dare call back to dispute the snack fees. Other than this, the stay was fine... pretty standard in my book. One thing I will say is that I have no idea why Radisson is partnered with Sleep Number. They make the worst beds and are glorified air mattresses. With the abuse they take in a hotel, they're even worse. They take forever to respond to the remote and they have multiple remotes in the room for different beds but aren't labeled as to which bed they belong to. Good luck figuring that one out. read more

Poor service. We had two rooms for an event we were attending. The other room had an extension cord belonging to the hotel - indicated on the bottom of the device. Mine did not. I needed the extra outlet for my CPAP machine since I had sleep apnea; and my cell phone was low on battery power. Calling the front desk to get one for my room, the sole reception clerk denied the hotel had any. Dispute my explaining why I needed it. He also claimed being a manager there. Only when I complained the next morning, did I find out he was not, and they did have some for me to use. We arrived late at night, and were unfamiliar with the area. So we could not go anywhere to purchase one as the night clerk insisted. I will never return to this hotel, or recommend it to anyone else. read more

Was part of a bridal party that decided to host the bride-to-be's bridal shower here in their banquet room. I was not the one that had initial contact with the hotel to set everything up so I can only say what occurred when I arrived. I arrived at 9:30 to set up for the 12:30 bridal shower. There were three different "off white" colored table clothes on all the tables, some even having stains. We asked that they be changed and they were reluctant at first after paying a good amount to host our event here. We let them know in advance that we would have outside vendors like a dj,photo booth and a flower wall which they said was okay. The day of they let us know that they way we wanted our room set up (for aesthetic purposes) was not possible because the DJ HAD to be connected to a certain outlet. Once again it took a lot of back and forth before we were able to get what we wanted. The food stations were decent though. Don't think there were any issues with that. read more

What an amazing team! They gave us our DREAM wedding. Elizabeth (catering director) settled our fears when we came to her with concerns of past negative reviews, she asked us to trust her & the team that they promised everything would be perfect, and it was! Sam the general manager, we feel like her & Marvin (maître d) waited on us hand & foot. We never waited for a drink or food. The food was delicious. The bartenders Chris, Darryl, & Anthony TOP NOTCH so kind and attentive. (After party & night before wedding) What I can tell you honestly the communication was on point. Up until the wedding our point of contact went through like 5 different people before landing on Elizabeth with the change in staff. I laid it all out to Elizabeth and she listened and helped make everything perfect. I came to her that I was worried my overnight guests would be turned away or not enough room, she had Tyler work with me to calm my fears and everything was smooth NO ISSUES! I told Sam & Marvin some issues I thought may arise the day of and they made sure any changes day of came to us as a couple first. We checked in the night before and had zero problems, our guests checked in with no problems. Breakfast the morning after was amazing! French toast sticks are bomb. My ceremony & reception was gorgeous we used Radisson's centerpieces, most décor, backdrop, linens, and pedestals. We supplied signs for tables and card box, but they have if you need I believe. My advice for couples is bring extension cords, lol we felt there was not enough outlets personally, and no usb ports in rooms. STAY OFF SOCIAL MEDIA! If you have a problem or concern, go to Radisson right away lay it out there. I was horrified at first, but my day turned out perfect! Be open & honest with them and they will be honest with you. Employees: Super sweet, caring, attentive, helpful, courteous & receptive. Food: All of the food for our wedding was delicious no complaints Hotel: Zero issues with check in check out, rooms were clean, no issues. Communication: no issues, I felt we were responded to in a timely manner Words cannot describe the venue enough Joe & I are so happy! The feeling we got when we first booked is what we ended our wedding with. We originally booked this hotel for 2 nights in July 2015. We were going to be in the area to visit Six Flags. Upon check-in, we were greeted by two very friendly desk employees (a man and a woman). We were able to check-in very early upon arrival. Both employees were helpful and were able to take care of our questions and concerns. They both even recommended us a few places in town for some great bagels. Unfortunately, the weather was not cooperating and we could not visit the park right away (it was pretty much monsooning). We decided we were only going to spend one day in New Jersey to visit Six Flags based on the weather forecast and the front desk employees were nice enough to cancel the second day of our reservation. This was great because we were able to use the rainy day as a driving day. The room was one of the nicest hotel rooms I've stayed in. The Sleep Number beds were fantastic and I'm now trying to convince my significant other that we need one for our home. The room was very clean and the linens on the bed were super comfortable. The bathroom was downright gorgeous. For the price we paid (~$100/night), I was shocked at the level of detail in each of the rooms. We decided to do breakfast room service the following morning. It was approximately $13/person plus room service gratuity. It was definitely worth it because they brought it right on time and the food was delicious. Each serving was plentiful and we couldn't even finish all of it. I was very sad to leave this hotel and go to our next vacation destination. I really enjoyed my stay here. We'll definitely be back if we're ever in the New Jersey area. read more
