If I could give this place a half star , I would . We ordered on grub hub @7:56pm , our food didn't arrive until 9:32pm & it was cold . We had to reheat our food in the microwave. Throughout waiting we must've called twice or three times - on the last call the woman stared they was 5 minutes away , but they of course we're not . So when the food got here , we called back to complain they were cold and the woman basically ignored us and didn't care . We will never order here again . read more

I've only ever done take out so I can speak to that experience. We live in a 1-2 mile radius of the place. We've ordered 3 times from them and every time we did it was an over 2 hour wait. You might ask why we kept ordering from them if it was late, the first time the guy called saying he was lost. Ok. Fine. Second time it was a busy night at the restaurant, which you could hear over the phone. The third and final time nothing was wrong and they were over 2.5 hours late. The food is alright, I could get better elsewhere. The staff unfortunately does not know how to speak English very well and my Spanish is not fluent enough to leave a good complaint. Perhaps going to the restaurant is different. Who knows. But after my three experiences I will NEVER go back. read more

Delivery took over two hours and the woman who answered the phone was rude, the delivery driver didn't have the decency to apologize. The food was cold upon arrival. It is mother's day, and we thought we would go to a new restaurant as a family to celebrate. The place from the outside looked like a tiny little bar. It wasn't until we went inside that we saw the small dining area. We sat down, and the waitress Cathy came to take our order. She was courteous and asked us what we wanted to drink. We asked for water for every one first. There were five of us at the table, she brought four glasses of water and played eenie, meenie, miny mo with one glass as she didn't know who to give the last glass to. After a few minutes, she came back to ask for our order. My husband started telling her what we wanted and noticed that she wasn't writing anything down. My husband asked if she wanted to write it down, but she declined. We asked for a cheese mofongo, half grilled chicken with rice and beans, 1/4 chicken with rice and beans, and chicken chicharon with fries. We also asked for two cokes and a pineapple juice. She asked if we wanted it with milk or water, we asked for it with water. After waiting a little bit longer than normal, our food came. The food was presented nicely and the portions were acceptable. We asked for an extra plate to use to serve my son some food, it took forever. My poor son was getting restless waiting to eat while everyone else was already eating. My mother-in-law started eating and noticed that her mofongo was chicken and not cheese like she asked. We called the server and asked her what she brought to us. She said it was chicken. We politely told her that we had asked for cheese. She told us that we ordered chicken. Again we told her that no, we asked for cheese, and maybe she would have gotten it right had she actually listened and took note like a normal waitress. She was not pleased at all, her face said it all but she took the dish back. The right mofongo came back rather promptly. My mother-in-law said thank you and she muttered "provecho" (enjoy) under breath. We ate almost silently, she seemed not to want to approach us at all at that point. The food was tasty, I will say that. If it wasn't for the taste of the food, I would have gotten up and left to be honest. We were almost done with the food, she came by and collected the plates. At the end, another server came and finished clearing the table. We asked for the check and paid. Now, may I remind you about our drinks? They never came. Our cokes never arrived, neither did our pineapple juice. I feel like she was just too caught up in her head to even remember our full order. She never even apologized for getting our order wrong or for forgetting our drinks. As you may imagine, we will NEVER ever go back there again. The food was alright, but the service ruined it for us. I don't expect everyone to bee happy-go-lucky all the time . I understand people may have bad days, and that's ok, but this was unacceptable. Needless to say, the tip we left was pitiful. I will continue to order food from this restaurant which surprisingly arrived promptly on a rainy Saturday. Rafaelina recently updated their menu on Seamless and now when you order from the grilled options it simply sends your order as "pork chops". I've been ordering here for a long time and my order was never sent incorrectly. I serve my food while working and bite into the pork chop to discover it is fried instead of grilled. I call the restaurant and the lady that answered was unapologetic and promptly informed me that since I ate one of the pork chops she is only sending me one as replacement. Baffled, I tried to ask her why and she went on to say that in order to get 2 replacement pork chops I need to send the two fried ones back those are the rules. I tried to reason with her explaining that I was really hungry and only noticed when I took a bite. She was unmoved and stated that if I wanted two she would charge me for the one I ate. I couldn't believe it. My order is INCORRECT and I am being treated like a pork chop thief. I got angry and told her that she should care to make the customer happy since it was their mistake but again she not once said "I'm sorry your order was wrong. Let me send you what you ordered". When the delivery guy came he called the restaurant and the same lady said to charge me $4.50 for the pork chop I ate. Unbelievable. I called Seamless who stated they are supposed to send the correct order and NOT charge me for anything extra. Period. Not even giving back one pork chop and understanding that it is common sense that it is possible the customer would not notice until they were eating. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE. It has gone downhill. No respect for the customer and no decency to correct their mistake. So petty. No accountability. When I first made my order online, I got the email saying it would be from 45-60 mins. Ok not what I was expecting but I'll wait. Then they call 15 minutes later saying they don't have anymore of the order I placed. WTF?! Then why have it on grubhub for it to be ordered? She couldn't even respond to that lol. Ok so I make another selection even though I'm a bit irritated at this point. 60 mins go by. An hour and 20 mins go by and I decide to call and she said the delivery driver should be there in 5 mins. I've lost my appetite for that restaurant at this point. It's almost two hours and I call again and the driver still haven't arrived and I call them again. They said he should be there "soon". I just hanged up the phone while she was still talking. I said you know what, I'm going to get payback on this. The food finally arrives after a long and disastrous two hours only he's calling and calling and I'm not picking up. The store calls and calls and leaves a message. I said I'm going to make it hurt for them a bit more. I call them and tell them I was busy and wasn't near my phone and if they can re deliver. They were a bit upset but understandable. They arrive again another 30-40 minutes later and like before, I let the phone ring on out on both the driver and the restaurant. They must of been pissed! If only they can imagine how I felt! You waste my time and I will waste yours! They left a couple other voice messages but I didn't bother to listen and just deleted them. I called grub hub asking if I can get refunded but they said they can only credit me towards a next purchase which was fine. They told me the driver was out there for 25 mins waiting and I just couldn't hold it in LOL. If you know you're going to experience a busy day, then hire more staff to cover that. Well, tonight was the very first time I placed an order through Seamless and ordered from this place for delivery at 6:56 pm. At 7:12 pm a lady from the restaurant called me to say they were out of sour sop (guanabana) shake and would I like something else. Since I also ordered passion fruit I asked for 2 of those instead. (on Seamless it did state delivery time was from 40-60 minutes) at 7:35 pm I got another call from the same lady stating that they were also out of passion fruit juice. At that point I didn't want another substitute so I asked would they deduct the cost from my bill and she said they need to contact Seamless to do so since I used my credit card to pay for the order. At 8:35 pm I noticed my order still wasn't delivered so I called the restaurant. I spoke to the same lady and she said the delivery guy would be at my address in 10 minutes. Ten minutes passed, no delivery. My final call was at 8:53 pm and the same lady answered stating the delivery guy will be at my location in 2 minutes. he showed up at 9:02 pm, 2 hours after I placed my order. My chicken was ice cold and I had to reheat it in the microwave. The lady, when I spoke to her the 4th time did apologize for the delay and order issues, I will not be ordering again. read more

I order breakfast from here and got a whole bunch of food that taste as bad as ever. i wanted scramble eggs and home fries, they gave me sunny side up eggs and french fries. I ordered from this restaurant via GrubHub to try something new. Two and a half hours later I am STILL waiting on my order to arrive. I called the restaurant to inquire where my food was, and the lady didn't even offer to comp my meal or give me a voucher/credit of some sort to apologize. She only said that she was sorry and that the restaurant was very busy. The restaurant is only a 15 min drive from my house. The customer service here is awful and I certainly won't be ordering here again...let alone recommending it to anyone else. Had she offered even a free appetizer or soda, I might've reconsidered. I will NOT order from this place ever again!!! I just downloaded the yelp app to my phone to write a review of this place. I'm not one to write reviews, but I tend to read others' reviews, so it is only fair I do the same. I ordered a simple straightforward meal (rice, beans and 1/2 roistered chicken) from this place and it took more than 2 hours to be delivered. When I called to get an update, I think the person hung up on me. I called back and she was not even apologetic; she basically said that the phone call dropped, and that my food just left for delivery. When I said that it had been over an hour, all she said was "there's too many deliveries." It may have been the case, but seriously, where's the service attention??? Anyway, the food took even more time to arrive, until I received a call from the delivery man.... He was standing by the wrong house... And when I called him back to find out where he was, he kept hanging up the phone... Overall, I may have reconsidered writing this review, but after tasting the food, that was IT!!! It tasted badly! What irritates me is that you pay for a service, they received the full value for it, and then the customer doesn't get even half for what they expected. A shame!
