If you're in the mood for a seafood boil, Baby Crab is a must! First off, the place is decorated…read morevery cute with an under the sea theme. I love that there are booths for smaller parties. We arrived and were seated right away. Service was on point. They check on you while also letting you enjoy yourself, which is the perfect balance. Getting into the food, we ordered the shrimp tempura for our appetizer and it was really good. For our entrées, we ordered the Mommy Boil and the Mini Boil with the special Cajun medium sauce. It was so delicious. I loved everything, the potatoes, corn, shrimp, sausage, and mussels. The portions are generous too, like where can you get a $20 seafood boil? (+ $5 for sausage). After we were done, we both had leftovers. In my opinion, the Mommy Boil is more than enough for two, or you can just get two Minis. Overall, I loved my experience. I'm curious about happy hour too. The food was delicious and I will definitely be back. Thank you Baby Crab!

This was my first time ordering from Baby Crab, and I came away impressed…read more I ordered the Snow Crab Legs with the Baby Sauce (mild) and added sausage, plus the Dungeness Crab Legs with the Special Cajun sauce (mild). The pickup experience was excellent. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and everything was packed securely in sturdy aluminum trays. I actually arrived about 30 minutes after they said the order was ready, but the food was still piping hot thanks to the packaging. The standout was definitely the Snow Crab. The legs were large and meaty, and the boil came with plenty of potatoes, corn, and sausage. The Baby Sauce was really enjoyable: rich, buttery, slightly sweet, and only mildly spicy. Personally, I would have preferred it to lean a little saltier and less sweet, but that's just my taste. I'd happily order it again. The Dungeness crab was good, though not quite as memorable. The meat-to-shell ratio wasn't as generous as the snow crab, and I wasn't nearly as fond of the Special Cajun sauce. It wasn't bad, but it lacked the balance and flavor that made the Baby Sauce stand out. Overall, Baby Crab made a great first impression with quality seafood, generous portions, thoughtful packaging, and friendly service. I'd definitely come back... next time I'd stick with the Snow Crab and Baby Sauce. If you're in the Bronx and craving a seafood boil, it's absolutely worth a try.

I was leaving Borgatti's ravoli and asked: I just passed Tra di Noi, Nice place?…read more Oh yes, they make everything homemade. It's wonderful. That's all I needed to hear. I wasn't going to eat dinner at Yankee stadium, I'm in "The Bronx" so I head over to Arthur Avenue. Walking inside Tra di Noi, its like stepping back into the restaurants of my childhood. Red Table clothes and a chalk blackboard with all the specials listed front and center. At the corner table I see chef/owner Marco Coletta. He's sitting and just watching the operation. I see someone walked up and gave him two huge tomatoes?? I scan the menu but I know what I want, the lasagna bolognese. I also ordered a glass of Montepulciano wine. Everything comes to the table quickly. Look at my picture, I can see in the Ragu's soffritto the finely chopped carrots. It's the perfect meat sauce covered in delicate pasta sheets. Just a simple, homemade lasagna. No need to get fancy with truffle toppings. I would have liked to sample their bread basket but it was never brought to my table. Dessert, I was starting to get stuffed so I had to pass. I read about the cheesecake online, which Marco makes fresh several times a week. Next time. Last night, I enjoyed the Italian homemade cooking from Tra di Noi.
