We arrived and were seated right away. Service was on point. They check on you while also letting you enjoy yourself, which is the perfect balance. Getting into the food, we ordered the shrimp tempura for our appetizer and it was really good. For our entrées, we ordered the Mommy Boil and the Mini Boil with the special Cajun medium sauce. It was so delicious. I loved everything, the potatoes, corn, shrimp, sausage, and mussels. The portions are generous too, like where can you get a $20 seafood boil? (+ $5 for sausage). After we were done, we both had leftovers. In my opinion, the Mommy Boil is more than enough for two, or you can just get two Minis. Overall, I loved my experience. I'm curious about happy hour too. This was my first time ordering from Baby Crab, and I came away impressed. I ordered the Snow Crab Legs with the Baby Sauce (mild) and added sausage, plus the Dungeness Crab Legs with the Special Cajun sauce (mild). The pickup experience was excellent. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly, and everything was packed securely in sturdy aluminum trays. I actually arrived about 30 minutes after they said the order was ready, but the food was still piping hot thanks to the packaging. The standout was definitely the Snow Crab. The legs were large and meaty, and the boil came with plenty of potatoes, corn, and sausage. The Baby Sauce was really enjoyable: rich, buttery, slightly sweet, and only mildly spicy. Personally, I would have preferred it to lean a little saltier and less sweet, but that's just my taste. I'd happily order it again. The Dungeness crab was good, though not quite as memorable. The meat-to-shell ratio wasn't as generous as the snow crab, and I wasn't nearly as fond of the Special Cajun sauce. It wasn't bad, but it lacked the balance and flavor that made the Baby Sauce stand out. Overall, Baby Crab made a great first impression with quality seafood, generous portions, thoughtful packaging, and friendly service. This meal arrived via delivery app, so I can't speak to the restaurant or in person service. I ordered head off shrimp in mild Cajun sauce and garlic noodles. I was impressed by the great packaging. Instead of coming in a boil bag, it was in a large plastic container with a strong lid. There were no spills or leaks. To say I was more than a little disappointed with the taste of the food is an understatement. The noodles were dry. They tasted kind of burnt, like they were toasted in the worst way possible (I don't have the words to explain it). They also didn't have any garlicky flavor. Which would have been fine, because I could drown them in sauce. Alas, the sauce was mostly oil. After pouring off some grease, the sauce was not flavorful. There was a lot of chopped garlic and bits, but again no garlic flavor. How!? It was weird. Otherwise, the shrimp were big and well cooked. Juicy, not tough. This restaurant has very good customer service and the ambiance is pleasant. The host/waiter/bartender was prompt, friendly and thorough, refilling water and asking if everything was okay. Unfortunately, the food I had was terrible. I ordered fried pork and shrimp dumplings expecting them to be pan-fried, but they were deep fried, crispy, with no flavor, the sweet chili dipping sauce was sickly sweet, the coleslaw swimming in vinegar. My entree was called Hot Sizzling Plate, it was a choice of steak, scallop, shrimp, chicken or salmon with fried rice or noodles, broccoli and a fried egg with a side of either teriyaki or black pepper sauce. I chose scallops, they were cooked properly but the fried noodles tasted burnt, the broccoli was plain with nothing on it, the pepper sauce I chose was sickly sweet and spicy hot but did not taste good at all, it might have gone with a steak possibly, but did not agree with scallops. I could not even finish the food, and I left totally unsatisfied. Then, good thing I noticed, they add an 18% service charge to the bill but ask for a tip in addition. If I wasn't paying attention I would have paid a 38% tip. The food was totally not worth the price. Ordered the VIP for $50+ and was told a half pound of shrimp are considered a total of 6. They literally count to make sure you have only 6 shrimp with this entree (I was told by server). Although the shrimp are somewhat jumbo (but more on the medium side), this is not sufficient for the cost value. Most seafood boils appears to be overpriced for the serving. The servers also appears to be just going with the flow, with no authentic interest in providing great customer service. Always appear to be short staffed with only 2 people working, 1 server and 1 bartender. Please do better, start by lowering the cost of increasing some portions. read more

This is a wonderful new restaurant that opened this year. The staff is attentive and friendly. Beautiful decor. When we arrived there were two customers sitting at the bar. They offer a Happy Hour on Friday's from 12noon to 7pm. During happy hour beers are $4.00 and wine $7.00. About one-half hour later anther couple came in for dinner. Over all your first impression is great, however it was disappointing that the blue crab ($25) and Dungeness crab ($30) were not available on a Friday at 5:40pm. You would hope that on average a restaurant name "Baby Crab" they would have plenty of crab in house. They did however have King Crab Legs for $55.00. The Crab Rangoon w/sweet chili sauce was good. The boils are heavy in sauces which tasted pretty good. We especially liked the Black Pepper and Baby Sauce. They will adjust the spice level to your liking. I have never had boiled clams that had smash shells. The shrimp are messy since they need to be pealed. They do provide bib's, gloves, wipes and plenty of napkins. Prices are high for the amount of food you receive and the surrounding area. We did have a coupon for a discount of $20 off with a minimum order $50, but they automatically add the tip based on the pre-discount amount. Unfortunately, I think this will be a one and done dining experience for us at the Baby Crab. We wish them well. read more
