Buckle up kids, story time. Background: my mom ordered my 5 year old a dress from here and it was misdelivered by USPS (cheapest possible way to send a package and notoriously unreliable). When my mom called, they refused to refund her because of their completely unreasonable and frankly illegal return policy of zero refunds. Also they didn't believe her that it wasn't delivered despite Ring camera proof she showed them. Our mailman found it the next day and brought it back to us (also recorded on Ring) despite my mom already having gone to buy a replacement elsewhere. I drove from Encino to Beverly Hills on a Friday during rush hour to return this because even though there's a Studio City location which is infinitely closer, when I called the person I spoke to said I had to return it to Beverly Hills because the stock is different. Fine. Ridiculous but fine. I put my 5 yr old and 20 month old in the car and went. I get to the store and put my UNOPENED package on the counter and said I wanted to make a return. They took one look at the name on the package and yelled at me that I couldn't return it AT ALL and they'd only offer store credit. I said absolutely not. I want a refund. I wanted the refund to my mom's credit card and no store credit. They said they had a zero returns policy listed on their website. For all merchandise. As an avid consumer, I'm well aware that having a return policy like that is actually against the law and violates FTC laws but I didn't tell them this. The owners, mother and daughter, both started yelling at me IN FRONT OF MY CHILDREN and refused to give me the refund and said that I needed to leave and would call the police if I didn't. Guess who called the police first and got them to come? The consumer who knows her rights! In the waiting time in between the police coming, they continued to berate me, and all in front of my children, and made ludicrous claims that I was "threatening them and their safety" (I did no such thing). They recorded me after I tossed the package on their counter and said I was "throwing things in their store" (it was plastic bag with a gauze dress for a 5 year old in it, did this person really think that could hurt someone?). Accused me of opening the package to say that was the reason why I couldn't get the refund (they owner opened the package with scissors in front of me and witnesses). The police come and go in to talk to the owners and I go outside with one of the officers. Back and forth all with me saying all I wanted was my money back and I would leave. They go in and out of the store, saying there's nothing they can do because of the store policy. I said okay that I didn't want to have to come to this but I was going to sue the store and have the officer go get their contact information for the subpoena. He goes back in and comes out and says FINALLY they were going to refund me the money, less the cost of shipping (wow, 5 whole dollars). So I thanked the officers, took my kids' hands and left. Moral of the story here: don't be rude and argumentative with your customers. Don't yell at them in front of children. Don't deny them their right to a return when the merchandise was full price, unopened and unworn. Don't offer store credit they never will use. Also, to the owners of the store, I'm gonna say this: I won. You lost. And guess what? This is far from over. Guess who's reporting you to the FTC for unfair policies? The person who knows her rights. A word to the wise and also to you, judging from all the negative reviews going back at least 8 years from what I read, you know nothing about customer service. How you've stayed in business this long is baffling to me. You should be treating the customers with respect and you don't. Shame on you. Good riddance, there's many other stores in LA I can get the exact same clothing for my children where I'm valued. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would but this system doesn't allow me to so 1 Star it is for this sorry excuse of a business. They have decided to accuse my 7-yr old niece of breaking a bead off of a cheap hairband they were selling. When my sister asked for a video recording all of a sudden the worker starts shaking like a leaf and tells us "oh I didn't see her break it I was mistaken." What?!!!!!! How do you go ahead and accuse a little girl and then backtrack your statement while my niece is being questioned several times if she really did it or not. We have no problem paying for an item our kids damaged BUT do not play with us. We understand business may be slow but don't try to make money off of false accusations against innocent little children. We are so disgusted by what happened earlier today we will never be returning and giving them business. No apology was offered from the store either. Products are cheap and employees are unprofessional and dishonest. Please do better - ALOT better next time. DONT GO HERE!!! I have had many bad experiences with retail stores, but this is by far the worst. Here are some reasons this is the worst kids clothing store ever. 1. Workers not even wearing masks! 2. VERY overpriced clothing. And for what? A literal piece of fabric designed for kids? 3. Didn't let my daughter in the store with her friends without an adult, keep in mind she is 13and her friends are 14 4. My daughter was fat shamed and told by a worker that she wouldn't be able to fit in any of the clothes and didn't let her at least try them on. 5. I understand some of the concerns people have about the staff and service here but as mom of a sensory sensitive kid, there is simply no alternative store for buying quality kids clothes that work for a fussy kid. This is the only place in Los Angeles where I can consistently purchase clothes for my daughter that look amazing and work for her. They sell high quality clothes with soft fabrics and really lovely designed stuff. They also sell Esme pajamas which are the only pajamas we've found that work for her - they are expensive but last for years. I came here out of sheer desperation for convenience of location, but I should have read these reviews first. The owners are a very nasty couple that hover over you as you shop. What they should be paying attention to is all the dust in their crowded junkyard of clothes. Some of this stuff looked like it was years old and many of the tags read "made in China." I pay attention to those things when I see a huge price tag for a polyester/acrylic blend. I feel really sorry for the husband as his wife seems so domineering. I have no idea why people shop here. Omg, so-so-so RUDE! They are too cheap or maybe they can't afford to invest in inventory control devices for their clothing & other items so they surround you & make you feel like a criminal while shopping. They're not friendly, except for one younger girl who was at the cash register. But she was drowned out by two older bitties that hover around you & give you dirty looks if you look at the name brand and then look them up on your phone. Not the best, but pretty cool. The place does in fact have a strange odor. They have cute clothes at a marked up price but we all know that Beverly Dr is expensive real estate. I have only bought a few things there since they don't have a big selection. This place has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. In particular a lady who feels like she can treat anyone however she wants, MORGAN! I Came in, was ignored, asked her to help, nothing as she pretended to do some paperwork. I received an item for my daughter's birthday I was trying to exchange, she said the item was old and she couldn't return it, i accepted and proceeded to buy shoes anyway. When I got home i realized she ripped the tags off the items she refused to return. When I called to find out what happened and why she didn't let me know, she started yelling at me saying "how dare you bring in items with wrong tags", I asked why she didn't let me know the situation while I was there, and she starts yelling at me over the phone "GIVE ME YOUR NAME AND NUMBER", are you kidding me? In the middle of a pandemic where I am trying to support your small business, this is the way you treat me? I am not surprised by the other reviews, after speaking to some friends and researching them online, I have come to found, they will not abide by any return policy they say they have. If the business owner is reading this, I would highly recommend reevaluating my staff. I stopped in one day during my lunch hour and bought my daughter a pair of Melissa shoes that were 1/2 off. At first, I did get the feeling that the employees/owners were following you however, I think they have good intentions. I don't know..... every time I go into this store I see a lot of cute clothes but I am followed around like a criminal by more than one associate. It's a shame because I would love to really look at what they have, the have so much! But, no one will leave me alone long enough to look and between holding a thrashing toddler and dodging the associates, it's super stressful.
