They take the time to help me find the right sizes and always offer thoughtful suggestions on what to buy. Today's visit to the Sherman Oaks location was especially memorable. From the moment I walked in, both team members Hermine and Elen greeted me with warm smiles and immediately offered their assistance. While I was shopping, they surprised me by making Armenian coffee and setting up a small dessert table with fruits and cookies after noticing I had been shopping for a while and carrying heavy bags. The first associate we spoke with was kind and welcoming, but didn't have much knowledge about the store's discount/registry or delivery policies. Not an issue at all-- she offered to check with a colleague, who I assume was a manager or supervisor. That's where things took a turn. The second associate who came over was disengaged, with a dry and unhelpful demeanor. It felt like assisting customers was more of an inconvenience than part of the job. When you're making a purchase of over $1,000 for a CHAIR, you expect a certain level of attentiveness and care. This was far from it. Even asking a simple question of how the item is shipped/delivered (after purchase, mind you) was treated by this associate like we were morons who didn't know their ABCs. It was incredible. *NEWSFLASH: Amazon sells Babyletto. If the model and color I wanted had been available, I would have gladly ordered it there instead-- quicker delivery and ZERO attitude from a disinterested employee. No customer should be made to feel like an inconvenience, especially when making a big purchase. If a commission was earned on my sale, it certainly wasn't due to any effort on their part.
