They had a pretty decent selection considering the size of the place and they sell cassette tapes! I didnt pick up any records myself but I did help my sibling find a '12 for $15 bucks! I got my first record player for Christmas! I knew just where to go for records since I've been following Ragin' Records on IG for a while now. I know they have a great selection. I hadn't been to the store before so it was my first time. I guess I should've been more prepared because I had no idea what to look for! lol! There was so much to look at and choose from. Location is nice! Right in tower. I had a fun time looking around. I found a bin underneath one of the tables with a bunch of Disney, Popeye and Charlie Brown! So I got some of those for the kiddos. When I went to pay I was helped by a kind fellow. He gave a a little crash course on what to look for when choosing records. How to notice the quality or lack there of. One of the records I chose was kinda scuffed up so he gave it to me for free! The others were also reasonably priced and I spent $18 on 3 records! Not bad. I'll be back! read more

Dope store with different genres of records! The store is a little smaller, but think they have a different locations. The (assumed) owner was super knowledgeable! I've been buying records from Ragin' for nearly 5 years and can't say enough good things about this place. Great mix of multiple genres including punk, indie, hip-hop, pop and jazz to name a few. All the records play great and have had no issues. I've seen a few people complaining about prices being too high, I have to strongly disagree as the pricing is comparable for what you'll find elsewhere for a brand new record. I've found some gems used at this store in great playing condition for cheap as well, you just have to take the time to look through everything. I've also had instances where I made a purchase and needed to exchange and they've never given me a hard time about it. This place rocks and I'm stoked on the new location! read more

By far, the most comprehensive selection in the Central Valley. Always bringing in new stuff, this should be a regular stop for any music fan, and a must for anyone seeking a hard to find music. The owner Paul is always getting new items, and his staff are music lovers too. Steve helped us and had such a vast knowledge of music he wasn't even alive for when made, he feels music in his soul. I didn't like the business at all. The owner was rude and condescending. I asked if he would like to look at my records. He looked at one and told me he wasn't interested even though I had some extremely valuable records such as the Beach boys Pet Sounds, which is enjoying a huge resurgence, He stuck it back in the bag as though it were junk. I'll never go there again. read more

Ragin' Records is my favorite place to visit in Tower. From the great service, fair prices, and the kind energy that the workers evoke are always amazing. Their selection is truly the best in town as they have oldies, indie artists, pop, mainstream, etc., so there is something for everyone. What a great place. I came in to check out some records. Pretty sure I accidentally stayed past closing. Person working was too classy to say anything. I adore that. It didn't even occur to me they had closed, and, I'm really sorry to the person who stayed late-you are awesome! And, yes! I did find some records I've been looking for for quite some time, and for a reasonable price! Super awesome. I have recently realized even though you can find anything online that you're looking for, shipping cost absolutely kills any savings you find. When I'm being honest with myself, I've realized the shipping is part of my overall record collecting cost, and therefore, really, how much I paid for the record. it's raising my bottom line. Local record stores really save us when it comes to shipping, and I'm so glad places like Ragin' exist so we can come in, and talk music, and hear whatever is playing in the store. I love that places like this give me ideas, and I love independent businesses. Thanks Ragin'! read more

The new location is nice (much newer structure). The inventory is plentiful and organized alphabetically. Great selection of vinyl and CD's, as always. The records that I purchased were guaranteed...and played as such. But, I did buy 5 cassettes....of which three are marginally playable (cassettes are the biggest crap shoot, of all the music formats)... just too lazy to return them over $4 each. The young man running the counter (the owner was out)... was very pleasant and asked if we needed help a few times. I will be going back to Ragin' when the need strikes me for a vinyl or CD fix. But, will most likely stay away from the cassettes. read more

I just moved to the area and it is so nice to have such a stellar record store in town. The owner is super helpful as are all the workers. The punk/hardcore section is extensive as is the Indie section. The pricing although a tad high isn't a deterrent from supporting a local shop. They had a fairly extensive used selection as well of quality records. read more

Ragin' is my go-to record store in Fresno. They carry a variety of titles both new and used in a plethora of genres. I've found numerous items on my wish list at Ragin'. Ragin records is the kind of places we need more of in Fresno. I love the ambiance of the place and even though the area is small, it packs a punch with its variety of records. The prices are great for these new high quality vinyls, varying in artists. I've been here once and had exactly what I wanted! The guy at the register is so chill and very inviting! They have so many new artists, I personally got Grimes, Lana del Rey and playboi carti. I definitely plan to come back! I just got back into vinyl recently and went here for the first time this month. They have the best selection I have seen in this area. My only reservation is they seal their records leaving you to hope/trust the vinyl is in good shape. I was happy with the one album I purchased, but I have had less than great results at other shops who seal their used product. Fingers crossed my luck continues. Prices were about typical for the area. read more
