Lauren took a deposit for a kitten that did not exist. We showed up the day of pickup, days before xmas, and Georgann had no idea who we were and did not have the kitten. She said Lauren was her granddaughter, a drug addict that was stealing from her. She had another kitten that was a different color that we took. Georgann seemed very nice and we felt bad she seemed to be taken advantage of by Lauren. We planned to get another kitten from Georgann, we set a date and we booked an airbnb in LA, since we live over 5 hours away. Georgann never answered and just ghosted us. The next week Georgann said she had been turned into animal control and had to offload cats quickly and that her son had a bi-polar episode. She offered to deliver kittens to us. We were conflicted because she seemed very nice and we do adore the kitten we got from her, but then she ghosted us again. I hope she is ok, but it seems that she is struggling to properly care for her animals and should retire. read more

Just purchased my registered little kitten Smokey from Ragnarok Cattery! I was really impressed on this litter. They have some great cats coming from this Cattery. I only wanted one but I'm thinking about buying a second! lol. Thanks again for your help Georgeann and walking me through this process. UPDATE My sweet Raylee never recovered from all the health issues he had. He died on 6/22/20, 17 months old and $8,000 later. Do not use this breeder! RUN!!!! AVOID THIS CATTERY AT ALL COSTS!!! I wish I had done better research and read these reviews before going through the nightmarish experience of purchasing a kitten through this Cattery. My overall impression is that the woman running it since her husband died, just can't handle the business. She is very kind, but seems completely overwhelmed and confused most of the time. Pick up times would be canceled (after I was already an hour into the drive), pickup dates changed, constant stress. Unfortunately I fell I love with a little 8 week old, which even though I paid a fortune for, it turned out to be more of a rescue mission. He was healthy at 8 weeks, but supposedly had a "shot reaction" (along with the rest of his litter ) and developed an upper respiratory infection. He was supposedly on antibiotics, but I seriously doubt they were being given at regular intervals (if at all). There were a lot of adult cats running around the living room. Many with eye discharge and matted fur. I should have turned back, but that little boy had my heart I took him home at 13+ weeks knowing he had the respiratory infection and that it was worse. He was now sneezing and wheezing, along with the runny eyes with discharge. I was worried that if I let him there any longer he would get even more sick. Since I've had him, the respiratory infection has almost cleared, but he also had severe ear and eye infections which I'm dealing with now. He is an adorable love bug, but it's been a rough ( and very expensive start) for this little guy. Hoping he'll be deemed healthy soon so we can get on with our happy life together. read more

I already posted another review on google reviews which I advise everyone to please go read ! I feel so strongly about this situation that I'm going to keep telling my kittens story. My kitten was not even 6 months old and died of an upper respiratory infection. This place for sure sells and gives out sick kittens. They sold me a sick kitten and I spent over $1000 in vet and hospital bills trying to nurse him back to health. He was just a baby and he suffered. He had swollen eyes, congestion, sneezing and coughing. Within his last days of life he had various seizures and had to be euthanized. I will be taking legal action again this place due to my contact and will be reporting this Cattery. Losing my kitten broke my heart and I won't stop until I have justice for my poor baby. If I could give ZERO stars I would!!! NEVER GET A KITTEN FROM THEM!!! They sold me a sick kitten. I took him to 2 different vet hospitals, along with seeing 3 different doctors, cause this seller insisted he was healthy. I had this kitten for about 2 weeks, and they would NOT respond back to my calls, emails nor text messages!! Finally I had to send them a text and email stating I will take this to the BBB and small claims courts due to the vet bills and having a 1 year health contract guaranteed. Finally they got back to me. They offered to take the kitten back to nurse him back to health for me. I did all I could to nurse the kitten back to health myself, missing work and up all night watching his bowel movements which were not normal and consistently watery along with loosing weight. My poor baby boy!! I brought him back to them, making it clear I want my kitten back, 100 heathy, as a kitten should be when you pay $1600 for a purebred ragdoll from a so called 40+ years breeder. She gave me the story of how things went downhill since her husband passed, and yes I had sympathy for her. Trusting that she would nurse my kitten back to health and he will be given back to me. ... Going on 4 weeks now, and they stopped ALL contact and will NOT give my kitten back!!! They are holding him hostage basically. I have been crying constantly and lost my job due to this, and they messing with my mind and heart. The last thing the old lady said to me over the phone was beyond horrible, on a rant stating I can't take care of a kitten and I have zero common sense when it comes to motherly skills and knowledge. Who the hell is she to say any of that to me while the kitten I just purchased from her was given to me sick to being with. She told me she would call me back the next day, and over a week later, nothing. They scan their calls and won't respond to any form I try to get in contact with them by. My boyfriend had to drive almost 2 hours in person to get our kitten back and they would not let him even see the kitten and refused to give him back. I have all this documented on email, text messages and voice mails, stating the kitten is going to be nursed back to health and we WILL get him back 100 healthy. They now won't respond to me nor my boyfriend and now I have to go a legal route. I have a claim with the Better Business Bureau, along with small claims court which I will be suing them for pain and suffering, along with the medical bills we had to pay. I also filed a claim with Animal Control and will be following up as much as possible to make sure they get shut down. They are not professional breeders, they are backyard breeders who went beyond downhill and will do whatever it takes to make money and not care for the kittens health nor us people who pay for the kitten and want to give them home to love. They still have my kitten. They stopped responding to me and basically keeping my kitten. I hope they get shut down, sooner than later, and I hope they reap all the negative that comes from this! How dare them put me through hell, mentally and physically, and still keep my kitten after all of this!!!! I WANT MY KITTEN BACK!!!! If you give him back, I will drop all these claims I have going. Otherwise, prepare to be served papers, go to court, pay more than believe cause of being careless human beings towards others. You would think, during this crucial times, people would be more caring and understanding towards one another. Wow, I've read so many concerning reviews about this breeder. I was ready to dial the telephone number to inquire about purchasing one of their rag doll cats, when my eye suddenly landed on some very concerning reviews on google. I thought I would go and check their yelp reviews and sure enough, more bad reviews :( and even more devastating, the reviews report unhealthy living conditions for their cats with respiratory problems, eye infections, and undesirable vet bills. So sad to learn that whatever the case is with this business, they are not taking good care of their cats. Very sad. Thank goodness for google and yelp reviews. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The fact that animal control hasn't shut this place down is incredibly sad to me. Before I did the research I should've, I diligently tried to purchase a kitten from this cattery which they made impossible. Not only were they mostly unresponsive, when they did respond, they'd make "promises" (send current pictures/videos) they didn't keep. Finally I started looking at reviews online and was horrified at some of the things I read and completely related to other customer's experiences; which lead me to believe the horrible things were absolutely true. After reading the reviews I doubled my efforts to purchase in hopes I could save a kitten from this place. They continued to be evasive. I finally told them that based on my experience thus far and reviews I'd read, I could not continue to attempt to purchase any kitten from them. Magically, they responded in less than one minute with a huge paragraph about how all the reviews are untrue and/ or from "enemies" (which can't possibly be true as despite my best efforts I've never met any of these people so I have no reason to write a fake review on a cat breeder or consider them enemies) My long worded point is, look elsewhere. We have purchased 3 kittens over a span of 22 years. Below are pictures of Ragernok Theodore (Teddie.). He is the best cat we have ever owned. Now 14 years old, we hope he lives as many more years as possible. He is happy, healthy, extremely affectionate and beautiful. When we got him in about 2002, he did get a respiratory problem for a short while, taken care of by our vet. We hope this chattery continues for many years, even on a smaller scale, as Teddie is irreplaceable and takes care of everyone in the household (especially our Main Coon cat), who is still at 8 years in our home, recuperating from horrible care, neglect, and possibly abuse in the Phoenix supposed "breeder" we got her from.j read more

I don't know if they knowingly realize that their (both the owners and cats) living conditions are so terrible. As soon as you walk in the house, you get hit with putrid uncleanliness. I wasn't allowed to see where the cats were kept, so I can only imagine. While I was waiting in the livingroom, several "pet" Ragdolls would come and go, and all of them looked ill and unkept. One had it's eye sealed shut with some sort of infection. Many of them were sneezing and had runny eyes and noses. There is so much wrong with this cattery. They're pushing cats out for income, and care nothing about the welfare of the animals. It's bad. What started out as Adoption turned into a rescue mission. We had to deal with Giardia and Feline Herpes. They're eyes are still watery and they will probably never make a full recovery. UPDATE: We had to put down one of the cats we received from this cattery. due to severe health issues. From the moment we got her, she was sneezing, coughing, eyes running. She never got better, but slowly got worse as time went by. These people should be shut down. Buy somewhere else!!!!!!! read more

We purchase a Ragdoll cat two weeks ago and was horrified by the living conditions and the conditions of the Cats roaming the house. I counted at least 20 cats roaming the house sneezing with watery eyes. I purchased from them 16 years ago so I didn't do my due diligence of checking the reviews on yelp because we loved our cat that we received from them so much. It has been a nightmare since the day we got home with the cat. We were quoted one price on the phone and then end up paying more than double. It turned into more of a rescue operation as the cats all looked so sick. I took the cat to the vet the day after I got her home. My vet was absolutely horrified at the condition of the six-month-old ragdoll cat. She had a severe upper respiratory infection, severe ear mites, an eye faction, and Giardia. My vet bill is over triple what we paid for this cat now. My goldendoodle has now come down with the Giardia and has to also be quarantined from our house for three weeks now. My carpets have to be changed now. This is turning into thousands of dollars now. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE and purchase from a reputable Breeder. We bought a cat from Ragnarok during the whole COVID situation. I called and spoke with the owner several times about my concerns about previous reviews stating that they sold sick cats. She convinced me that they had worked out the problems, and the current kittens were fine. Impatient as I was looking for a companion kitten during the lockdowns, I decided to pick up a beautiful 6 month old male. He's great, love his personality. But he had a runny nose since we picked him up. I called about it and they told me it was nothing to worry about and would go away. The stress of the move type thing. Well, after over a month of it not going away I took him to the vet. A combination of antibiotics and Enisyl-F seemed to cure it....until it came back 3 days after we ended the treatment. His squinty, runny eye and runny nose were back. I currently have him on eye drops twice a day and the Enisyl-F twice a day for a feline herpes diagnosis. I hope it is enough to completely stop it, but am concerned the constant treatment and medication might be a lifelong scenario. Not what I would expect from a breeder charging full price. Love the cat, but I would say buyer beware. read more

Just bought my second kitten from Ragnarok...and yes, they both came with eye infections, but the Vet gave me eye drops which seem to solve the problem. I went back because my first cat from them died of old age. He was a BEAUTIFUL cat, so relaxed and affectionate. I wanted the same look and personality. This new kitten has wonderful coloring/markings and he's a total sweetie. He purrs constantly and follows me everywhere. Big eater, he's full of energy. I checked every breeder in California before this purchase. I was set on a blue color point male...and this was the only kitten like that available in the near future anywhere in the State. If this kitten turns out to be even half as sweet as my last cat, it will be worth it. read more

We purchased a cat two weeks ago from this breeder. Number one the kitten is adorable and a beautiful creature with a great personality so far. The cattery itself looks a little suspect to begin with, they do not have a professional vibe at all. Second the kitten She is beautiful but does not conform to breed standards as she is a seal mitted mink. That is fine for us as she will be a pet she won't be shown or bred but he tried to inform us about how she is even worth more for her unique coloring. So after picking her up she was sick and I mean sneezing mucus everywhere. But she was very cute and sweet. Kittens do get sick so we figured we could deal with it. When we agreed to purchase her she was taken into another room when she came back her claws had been cut back to the quick and were bleeding. Secondly her ears had been rubbed/cleaned to the an extent that they were bleeding. She had only received her first vaccination at this point. And they offered to give the second right then and there but we pointed out she was sick and that would not be in her best interest to do so. After we purchased the cat for $650 + $35 for the chip. We also had to sign a dispute waiver for the better business bureau that was a bit strange. Before taking her home we made an appointment with our vet and drove directly to our vet. Here is what we found she was supposedly 16 weeks old but weighed only 2.5 lbs That is the weight of your average 10 week old let alone a ragdoll. Secondly, the Vet assumed she might have mites as that was the reason her ears were rubbed raw but without anything to look at under the microscope he could not tell. So he recommended keeping her isolated from out 2 dogs and older cat as to make sure nothing is spread. So we take her home, give her antibiotics twice a day, and keep her isolated for two weeks as requested. We brought her into the vet today. First eh good news she has gained 1lb. Now or the bad she has a bad case of mites and also apparently has what looks to be ringworm. She is still extremely congested and must remain on the antibiotics for at least one more week. So we have to keep her isolated for at least another week until her next vet appointment. Realistically getting an animal from them is an expensive proposition. read more

Ragdolls are a very delicate breed and prone to get sick and stressed very easily. They are also the most adorable and loving cats in the world. They do not like other cats but they love people and need constant love and attention. They will become your best friend if you let them. If you're not prepared to treat them like your little baby and your best (human or otherwise) friend DO NOT adopt them. I am not familiar with Ragnarok Cattery but I am giving them five stars just because they breed these wonderful cats and to let people know the big responsibility of adopting Ragdolls. read more

I got a Ragdoll from Ragnarok. He died of FIP after I spent over $1000 on the vet and DNA testing which is the only way to definitively diagnose FIP. My wife and I bought two kittens from this place as my wife wanted rag doll cats. We bought a boy and girl cat as they came up to us like they want us as their new owners. They are super friendly and cute. The bad thing is they are sick with eye infections, respiratory infections, dirty ears, etc. We did not realize this for a few days. We took them to the veterinarian and they both are on antibiotics after we realized things are not right. Bottom line is if you buy cats from these people get them checked by a vet first. Also I think the man, husband, and probably the wife are constantly confused about the price of the kittens. The man tried to over charge us $200. My wife called him on it and gave her ,$200 cash as we used our debit card. As of now, we love our cats but in 4 weeks we have spent $500 in vet bills. I recently purchased a kitten from Ragnarok cattery. She's well socialized and playful. She's not shy and comes to greet our guests like only real ragdolls do! I didn't detect any health problems so far. She was vaccinated in my presence. The price was lower than in most catteries across California and communication with the owners was pleasantly easy. I definitely prefer that to being 25th on a waiting list for a litter due next Christmas in San Diego - that's if I pass a screening process and interviews with breeders. I saw my kitten on photo, fell in love and reserved it. I was receiving regular videos of her growing and playing. When I came to pick her up, all cats looked fine to me. Yes, it was smelly but there were like a dozen of cats roaming around. That household is still recovering from a recent loss. I would give them a break. They love their cats and are getting back on their feet. read more
