Rags in Cherry Creek is my favorite place in Denver to shop! You can get quality clothes for a reasonable price. Also, it's good for the environment - all those things could end up in a landfill. They have cute stuff and decent prices but they mark items up from the original price. I bought a wool sweater jacket for $58.75. When I got out to my car I noticed another sticker below the top one. I peeled it back thinking it was marked down but it was marked up from $45.75. I contemplated not saying anything but I was annoyed so I went back in thinking they would apologize and reimburse me the difference. Both the girls I talked to didn't seem to care and refused any sort of compensation or apology. They just said 'We do that sometimes.' I was impressed with this consignment store. I shop at several around town, in fact it is the only way I shop these days and have an excellent rotation of very well made high end items because i shop at consignment only for the most part. I loved how it was decorated... very charming and cute, and SUPER clean and tidy. Very well organized. I was impressed with how well thought out the store is as far as charm and organization goes. Also the manager was super nice and attentive. Not snobby like a lot of staff at other consignment stores are (you know what I mean!) The selection was great and there was a nice range. It is not only high end, They also have nice pieces that are affordable as well. They had some good JCrew Ann Taylor etc for example, and I got an awesome Elizabeth and James for under $20. They have a good athletics rack also. I got a Lululemon full zip up for $40. Also I consigned there and the took MOST of my items which is pretty rare. I would say the brand range is mid to high brand. So it is a good place to consign, way better than some other places in Central Denver who I have noticed have become super super picky. I would recommend Rags for both consignment and shopping. Expect some good deals. I have not been to the other locations so can not say how they are but the Cherry Creek North one is great. read more

A very high end thrift store if your looking for more modern and designer stuff, employees are very nice and welcoming. If we are talking price, price is consistent for more designer clothing and handbags. Overall it was a fine experience and if your looking for more designer or high end brands this store may be a hit. read more

First I will make quick note about the clothes since many may or may not care about the way I was treated shopping here- if the clothing had been decent I would have given 2, maybe 3 stars. It wasn't. Most of it was 5, 10, even 20 years out of style and badly worn. It seriously felt like looking around a goodwill at times, but a few good brand names I suppose just very out of date and worn. Now, for the worst part, to me anyway: I came here really excited to shop and potentially drop some serious money, both to support a small business after Covid, and because I hadn't been able to shop in months- and needed a whole new wardrobe after losing almost 30 pounds! I was out running errands, after a run and saw that they were open, and had an appropriate amount of free time to shop extensively so wandered in excited to look around and as I said potentially make a huge sale for them, because mama needs literally an entire new wardrobe!! Now, I had no makeup, post run hair, no jewelry, and simple running gear on. I walked around mostly ignored by the 5 or 6 (?) employees for the first 15-20 minutes, which on its own would have been fine- it's a consignment store, not Nordstrom's- and a sweet and attentive young guy saw that I had found something and got me a room so my arms wouldn't be full. He was literally the only semi positive interaction I had in the entire store. I continued to shop and was then confronted by a very abrasive blonde woman who demanded I give her my backpack if I wanted to look around. Let me be clear that there were several staff wandering about the store, and a couple other patrons as well. If you guys are worried about potential theft, that's not unreasonable on its own- treating people like criminals is a huge problem. Seems like there are a myriad of subtle ways to protect against theft without offending people. I asked if that was typical protocol for them and she gave me a rather short and snarky answer- something to the effect of they need to "look out for their clothes". I was offended! I grabbed my wallet out of it and gave it to her, intent on supporting this small business. A bad employee shouldn't reflect on the whole- or maybe she was the owner, I don't know. I know my hair wasn't done, I had running clothes and no makeup on, but that is NO EXCUSE FOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, or basically accusing someone of being a potential thief!!! I did try on some things, and considered buying them. Had the quality of the clothing been better I may have considered dropping my morals for a good deal on some truly great finds, lol. But as it was the more I thought about the way I was treated, presumably for having the audacity to shop in a CONSIGNMENT STORE with no makeup or jewelry, in running clothes, the more annoyed it made me. I walked out of dressing room (yes I still hung everything back on hangers nicely for them), looked for my backpack (none of the staff was anywhere to be found at this point), and I finally found a girl who literally pointed across the store to where it was. It was thrown on the floor behind a counter, on it's side, for literally anyone to take(since apparently theft is such a huge concern here)- glad I took my wallet out! I just want the owner to know that the woman in black running shorts and top, carrying a black bag- with no makeup or hair done- that came in 2 days ago was ready to spend up to a couple thousand dollars and have fun doing some serious shopping- and I am 100% serious. A 2k dollar sale is probably a pretty good day financially for a small place like this. And had they not been a-holes, it would have been fun to make their day like that! You really need to teach your employees not to judge a book by its cover, or to treat people like crap. I will never be back here- the clothes aren't great at all like I said and the customer service is abysmal. read more

The staff were not outwardly rude, however they were VERY judgy. I tried to consign an item and the employee said that the store didn't accept the brand. However, it is an expensive brand and I have no idea why this would be true, so it felt like she was avoiding telling me no. I would have preferred a straight answer. The same employee started socializing with some obnoxious customers. I am a teenager, but these teens (kids??) were very annoying. I initially thought they were literal children because of their dress style and whiny nature, but they seemed to be friends with an employee. Typically I don't care at all about employees socializing and think it aids the overall environment. Because she had just denied me on the basis that the store didn't accept my brand, I was shocked by the sudden shift from pretension to immaturity. Actually, pretension is always immature. read more

Really great place to shop for gently used clothing if you prefer high end brands! Found a Balenciaga bag that was priced around $200 (even used Balenciaga bags usually won't retail for less than 600-700 online). I also found a perfect quality Derek Lam dress that looked unused for $50. The store is very clean and organized. The staff seemed friendly and helpful. I only ended up purchasing a small blouse because I'm in the middle of transitioning jobs and couldn't spend as much as I normally would, but I will definitely come back again in the future. read more

I love the store name Rags! It filled me with anticipation of finding a new to me designer caste away! However for me a big part of the thrill in consignment shopping is getting a bargain! It's huge! Upon entering there was no ambiance music & no greeting from sales associate! Right away I found a cute but too large green Kate Spade dress that had an $80 price tags! Alterations would land me above retail price!! I zipped through the store and found limited inventory all with overpriced tags!! I made my beeline for the exit with disappointment and felt robbed & inconvenienced to have wasted my time stopping here. read more

I've been shopping here for two or three years spending hundreds of dollars in a month and thousands over time. When I bring my clothing in for them to resell including some of the things that I bought there and never wore or wore once they don't take them. There's no loyalty here with their clientele and their prices are too high in my opinion. I buy very nice designer things usually but they are a lot more expensive than their competitors. I get good deals when I buy at my other consignment store but here there are no good deals you pay full price and they do not mark them down ever! You get very little here for your consignments since they don't take very much and they've lowered their pay out to 40%. When I asked her why she didn't take the things that I bought there she told me they looked worn but that simply is not true like I said most of them were never worn and they look the same. They ask between $54 and $62 for a pair of designer jeans that I can buy at the competitors sometimes for $30-$42 so take it from me and look elsewhere. read more

Having traveled all the way from Alaska, (Oh we love you, Carlito!) it was an absolute MUST to stop in and visit. Allow me to stress to you.. if you're familiar with labels, quality, retail price points and the condition of items.. then you'll walk into this establishment and be amazed with the inventory, their sticker price, and with knowledge behind the quality of inventory! You simply CANNOT walk in with it finding what it is you're looking for, and the helpful staff only make the experience that much easier. Both Kim and Carlin are musts! Please don't consign with this store--if you give them something expensive and it doesn't sell, you probably won't get your item back. My mom consigned some $300 leather gloves at Rags, and when she went to get them back, they gave her some completely different, much cheaper gloves instead. No one seems to have any idea what happened to my mom's actual gloves. When we brought this to the attention of the owner, she just shrugged and said that happens sometimes. They have no interest in either finding the gloves or compensating my mother for the loss. What a shoddy way to do business. read more
