GIANT Cod Sandwich. With the value.
    Joe C.

Awesome atmosphere. Drinks were on the table in less than 4 minutes. Food was to the table in less than 16, and that's on a busy Saturday! My wife loved her cod sandwich which was surprisingly larger than expected. I found my French onion burger juicy, delicious and full of French onion flavor on toasted sourdough. Awesome service, will frequent again!

The Rail House is a little bit of everything. It's a place for a steak or fish, but also has an extensive bar food selection. It's a craft beer pub, a wine bar and a dive bar, a sports bar and a family restaurant all rolled into one! It is very open in the restaurant, but there is a clear separation between the bar area and the restaurant area. So it's fine to bring the family. It's also a great place to watch the game on one of their many TV's. I sat at the bar each time I've eaten there and have attentive and friendly service. Huge menu with something for everyone. I was impressed that they have Prime Rib everyday. I've eaten here three times now and enjoyed my meal each time. I've had the Prime Rib and the Smoked Ribs, both came with a couple of sides and were priced fairly.... Everything was very good. Loved the French Onion Soup, highly recommend it as a side or as an add on.

Railhouse is almost always really good. I had a side salad that was great. Lots of toppings and various types of lettuce. I ordered the veggie lovers pizza and while it was good, it could benefit from having more types of veggies. I would have like to see green peppers and maybe banana peppers. Waitress was very friendly and prompt and made sure I had everything I needed. It's a cute place that is clean and spacious. Booths are huge.

The restaurant was large with a brewery inside. The oatmeal stout was good. The calzones were really good. The service was excellent.

If you want a place with flavorless food and rude servers, this is your place. This was our first time here and we will never return.

Generously prepared, great seasoning and with the right temperature. The fries are sprinkled with cinnamon which was a first for me. The sweet potato fries were a little soggy but not bad. The cherry hard cider was fizzy and refreshing, It looks like the restaurant used to be a fire house. To me, it's like if the Hot House (Menomonee Falls) and Mission BBQ had a baby. Our server was excellent. She took very good care of us. On a quiet afternoon, we were sat by the bar, by a group that was very loud. We would have preferred a different table.

No drinks, no "we will be with you shortly" or anything. We just sat there. Finally a server came over and said they had a big group come in and it was causing some backup and the host should have told us; he didn't. The drinks and appetizer came quickly and the street corner appetizer was very good; I would order it again. Once the appetizer was finished we sat with empty glasses for a good while. Again, no communication. Once the food arrived, things got much better. Wraps were good, not great. My daughter's pizza was good. With all the restaurants in the area, they will need to up their game on service.

We ordered quite a few appetizers to share including cheese curds, chicken wings, and bruschetta (all not pictured) and they tasted conventionally good like one would expect our of a bar or an American diner. The blueberry mojito didn't taste like mojito at all mainly because it was missing fresh mint leaves, lime juice, and probably club soda. The only thing I could taste was white rum with a hint of blueberry flavor. The alcohol taste wasn't strong, which I was more than okay with personally, but judging by the standards of a mojito, it wouldn't qualify as a mojito in my opinion. The salmon itself was pretty good because of the sauce, which provided majority of the flavor on top of salt and pepper. There were some vegetable bits included, such as broccolini, carrots, and what seemed like Palestinian couscous. I liked the dish overall, even though I would have enjoyed it more if there were more pieces of vegetables included. There were no performances when we were there, but I saw a jukebox inside the store, which was pretty cool. Most of the songs included were country in terms of genre, which wasn't my cup of tea, but the retro vibe of the machine being there definitely put a smile on my face.

There are several beers on tap as well as in cans, ciders, and soda. I'm not a beer drinker, so I tried a Cherry Von Stihl Cider from the nearby Von Stihl Winery/Cidery/Distillery. I may have found my new cider! Anywho, for a small town like Algoma, this place was hoppin', and it wasn't just locals! There is plenty of seating indoors at the bar or around it. There is a patio right outside, also with ample seating, The outdoors is dog friendly, but I don't know about the indoors (although a giant garage door opens to combine the two, so...) There is a small corner offering up various merch like hats, t-shirts, mugs, etc. 10/10 would recommend a stop for a quick drink if you're in the area or just passing by.
