We recently discovered this restaurant and had to return again this weekend. They have a great beer selection and the food is amazing. They do seem to be shortstaffed, but the girls that were working really know how to hustle and take care of their customers. We look forward to being back in the area again next month. read more

Got our order and the fries were cold. Ordered a steak sandwich with onions and was not expecting a piece of meat on a bun with lettuce and tomato. Maybe slice it up or something but that's just me. The Rail House is a little bit of everything. It's a place for a steak or fish, but also has an extensive bar food selection. It's a craft beer pub, a wine bar and a dive bar, a sports bar and a family restaurant all rolled into one! It is very open in the restaurant, but there is a clear separation between the bar area and the restaurant area. So it's fine to bring the family. It's also a great place to watch the game on one of their many TV's. I sat at the bar each time I've eaten there and have attentive and friendly service. Huge menu with something for everyone. I was impressed that they have Prime Rib everyday. I've eaten here three times now and enjoyed my meal each time. I've had the Prime Rib and the Smoked Ribs, both came with a couple of sides and were priced fairly.... Everything was very good. Loved the French Onion Soup, highly recommend it as a side or as an add on. read more

Beer was good, service was marginal, the food was lousy. Had angry chicken which was over cooked and rubber, it was supposed to have some spice to it - but found it bland, and the white sauce on the white plate with no garnish made an unappealing presentation. read more

This place was really busy! We went into the pub area which was fine. We had to wait quite a while for our food, but the waitress stopped to apologize for the wait and to refill drinks. I had a tenderloin sandwich and m husband had a club. Both were delicious. I prefer a plate over a basket as it's more difficult to cut a sandwich in a basket. read more

Railhouse is almost always really good. I had a side salad that was great. Lots of toppings and various types of lettuce. I ordered the veggie lovers pizza and while it was good, it could benefit from having more types of veggies. I would have like to see green peppers and maybe banana peppers. went there last night for dinner later in the evening. we sat and waited over 10 mins and the waitress finally came through after other employees walked right past us. she said in a snotty voice will be awhile I'm the only one working back here. I really do hate giving bad reviews, and I do not believe in one star reviews. I debated on even reviewing this place on yelp, but my experience with my colleagues was so disappointing that I think it's only fair to share. We sat there for 37 minutes without being served anything, the service was absolutely horrible. I was so hopeful for their French onion soup, but alas, we did not get any food or drink, and simply left after more than a half hour of sitting there waiting.I do hope that the two tables seated after us that received service before us had a better experience. read more

I'm a train enthusiast so by the name of this I was expecting a train ambiance.....that was not the case. They must just have the name due to close proximity to the tracks. It was nice and relaxing inside. Quit a large area to choose to sit. Our waitress was wonderful. The Philly and chicken strips were both good. I'd say in the mid range. Not bad and not excellent. If you have a seafood allergy be aware!!! They cook everything in the same oil including the fries. I asked bc my partner has a severe seafood allergy and there was lots on the menu. Went there on Friday 11/17/2023, front end staff was very friendly and accommodating, it's just too bad they were having to cover for the kitchen. Honestly, the owners should be on site more often. It's a huge Brew/pub with lots of potential. Menu - WAY TO LARGE! Stop trying to accommodate everyone. Because of your location you are going to bring in lots of "tourists/temporary stay" clientele. High quality, fresh food that's what people want and need. Don't axe the pot pie, perhaps one of the best menu items. Over all the good it's self is good. The oil there is bad and gave me food poisoning, I can't even eat anything without going to the toilet now. This is a great place. Local feel but comfortable seating and friendly staff. There is a separate section for the bar and restaurant seating. Hughes space in an old rail road building, thus its name. Wide selection of brew and regular beers. Great prices. Reasonable prices for drinks and daily specials. They open their own brews section on August 26, 2019. We're in town for a wedding. I've never been to Wisconsin before. I was nervous about coming here (I'm from southern california) because I was afraid that everything would be fried and stuff. Anyway, we went here twice on our trip. Highly recommend it. First time I had the teriyaki wrap. Second time I had the salmon salad. Pretty delicious! This place is also nice and big so I didn't feel claustrophobic. read more
