It exceeded our expectations. We booked the Hummingbird house and Eagles Nest to accommodate all of us. The hummingbird house was newly renovated and remodeled and looked beautiful inside. It was a home away from home with all the amenities. It resides next to a nature preserve and we took a beautiful hike in the morning encountering a family of deer. The nature surrounding the inn was picturesque with a creek running along it. On Sunday, we were served an incredible breakfast by their chef in the main kitchen. The food was delicious and a very warm environment. The chef was super friendly and talked with us the whole time. We felt like we were in a friends home. Not too mention the unbelievable pies that were served every afternoon! Delicious! We will definitely return here for another visit. Thank you to the new owners that made the experience wonderful and easy! I wish I had pictures to share, but you will need to see it for yourself.

The B&B has several cabins as well as individual rooms in the 'main' building. We were on the 2nd floor. The bedroom and bathroom was comfortable and clean. The main guest spaces (communal) were cozy- a study/ curl up on the couch space to read or watch birds, a kitchen nook and a large main dining room area. A full kitchen and fridge is available for use. Breakfast items available for self preparation or granola bars and fruit and cheese for non- prep options. Pie, coffee, tea and juice were also available. Outdoors you have access to a private garden with chairs, decorative water features, and bird feeders, or a porch option with seating to observe the wildlife. A great getaway space to relax and take in nature ... and extra convenient being next to the Preserve. A few things to note: 1. The website boasts of a chef prepared breakfast in their video. That was discontinued a while ago and unfortunately not disclosed/ clarified (website does say continental breakfast... but the video is also up... mixed messages) at time of booking. While I would have like to have been pampered with a chef prepared breakfast... the alternative of having items available for your own fixings was also appreciated. (2) The pie mentioned in the video also not entirely accurate. There is pie for guests... but it's not homemade. Based on the pie boxes in the freezer it's pie from Walmart. Again, not an issue unless you are envisioning something different from their old reviews. (3) This property maybe for sale or in the process of new ownership.., can't confirm but I did see it listed online. Just hoping that new ownership continues to keep it as a b&b, does not increase rates significantly making it less affordable and continues to make it a haven for nature preservation and for people this.

They have a bird garden with so many feeders you can just sit in their cushion comfortable chairs and see tons of birds while sipping coffee. If you bird this place needs to be on your list! Kim and Tom made us feel so welcomed and were very accommodating. There was even a handwritten welcome note wishing us a happy anniversary. The cottage itself made you feel like you were right at home. It was beautifully furnished and well equipped with basically everything you need except your own clothes. You do need to bring your own meals but the pantry was very well stocked with a variety of items and Kim made us a delicious quiche which we had for breakfast the next morning. They also gave us some very fresh eggs from their chickens to take home. The property was beautiful and so peaceful. Just outside the kitchen windows, you can see a wide variety of wild birds hanging out by the feeders on the trees. They had many chickens at the barn and cute little chicks that were just recently hatched. Kim was so patient and kind around our daughter, who helped her feed the chickens! During our morning walk, Cody the horse and Wilbur the goat even came over to say hi and allowed us to pet them. Our only regret was not being able to stay for longer. We will definitely come back soon! So if you live in Tucson (or anywhere else in the world, really) and want to getaway from the city, please do yourselves a favor and stay at Kim and Tom's!

Did manage to get to bench that was close & sat down. Sat there for a while & finally called out loud for help & another guest heard me. He came down to help me. I could see the lady in the office sitting right there inside. She did not move to even come check on me. I called 911 after the other guest got my phone from my room. My husband arrived & went to the office they told him that they were not allowed to call 911. Once the ambulance arrived I asked the medic if this is correct & he said "no, anyone can call 911". I have a large goose egg on the back of my head now & a groin pull. Am unable to walk for now. I will never stay at this motel again & will call corporate to report the lack of response by the staff.

There is a social hour Monday - Thursday that includes two free beers and snacks (chips, salsa, pretzels, dipping cheese and fresh cookies). The gym is small and NOT 24/7 (it doesn't open until 6am). The pool is small and shallow but the hot tub is nice. The poop area doesn't open until 10am. Plenty of parking on site is free. Coin Laundry is available on the second floor. Small business center in the lobby I was able to print a few things off. Also free coffee and tea in the lobby 24/7. Again, very clean property and a friendly staff. I recommend and will stay here again if ever in the area.
