You have the option of eating inside or out. In the warmer months the deck can have a nice breeze and you may see a kayaker or two pass. I ordered a medium rare bone-in ribeye, my wife got chicken-fried steak, and my in-law got filet mignon. One of my sides, (chili cup) showed up 10 minutes or so before any of our entrees or other sides. Little weird, but okay. Then the entrees actually show. Filet mignon was overcooked; they forgot the gravy on the chicken fried steak (and way oversalted it according to my wife), and my steak was still alive. The fat cap was gummy and not really rendered; the meat towards the exterior was a little on the rare side, but I was initially willing to put up with it until about a quarter of the way in, when I started discovering straight-up raw/uncooked meat. My guess is, the steak was just seared from flash-frozen and nobody actually bothered to temp it or check for doneness. At this point, I asked for the manager (which I've literally never done before in my life) and requested a refund rather than a recook, as my wife and in-law were nearly done eating and I didn't feel like holding them up/also don't want to pay for only 3/4ths of a product that was cooked the way I asked or even cooked at all. Manager actually wrinkled his nose at the steak, and agreed to take it off the bill, really appreciated that. Additionally, the waiter was a really nice guy. Sadly, I do think you probably shouldn't screw up steaks at a steakhouse, and all three of them had something wrong with them. I also didn't feel too great after eating just a bite or two and two or three fries (I said I would stop eating in exchange for the refund), so with all that in mind, I will have to give this place a one-star rating.
