Was in town for the weekend and stopped in to eat on Saturday night…read more The manager Steve Ausmus greeted us as we are former 'Pinevillians' who were now visiting. Very nice guy, and his staff follows his lead. Waitresses were sweet as the pecan pie and the food was great. Love that Middlesboro has this kind of place. 5-stars!

First time couple weeks ago…read more Stopped after golf with 2 friends on a Saturday about 5 pm. Busy with 45 min wait but were told we could wait in the separate bar with first come basis seating. That's what we did and got seated and drinks ordered and dinner menus promptly, Bar /wait staff was very good for a busy time. Live music and crowd in the bar in a living room type atmosphere too loud for an intimate dinner more a sing along fun time place, separate from the main more quiet dining area. Got fried mushrooms appetizer and filet mignon as entree. The filet was high quality very tender perfectly prepared and had a wood grilled flavor. Also got a fresh garden salad and giant baked potato ...excellent well worth the $48 price. Others had a huge burger and cheese steak with fries. Both also very good. Too stuffed for desert but it looked yummy. Was impressed with bar drinks, beer and wine selections. Best steak I've had in this area from Lexington Ky to Knoxville TN. On par with nineteen 19 in Cumberland gap as nicest restaurant in the local area. I'll be back.

The Appalachian made a horrible day excellent. I am moving from DC to Texas, stopped for the night…read morenear by just to eat at The Appalachian. I had been here once before and the food was so good I had to come back. By the time I got to my hotel, I was running late for my reservation and got a call from The Appalachian checking if I was going to make my reservation. I let them know that I had just arrived at my hotel, traffic on I-81 held me up and I was going to order an Uber as soon as I was off the phone. Coming from DC, I expected an Uber would be at the hotel door steps within a few minutes, I was wrong. I was then crushed by the realization that I was wrong, I wasn't gonna make my reservation. I knew that on a week night The Appalachian's kitchen closed at 9. Ride.I called them back to let them know of the situation and expressed my desire to have their Wood Fired Lamb. The Gentleman that answered the phone simply responded "it's going on the grill now, we will see you when you get here. F-ing amazing, turned my stressful and painful day completely around. Uber'ed over, walked into an empty restaurant on a weekday where I would guess dinner customers might have been light and they held the staff for little old me. The Appalachian had just moved to the top of my list for I mean best restaurant I've ever been to in my life. Unfortunately, for them, my favorite restaurant of all time in the United States shut down when I was in my early 20's so they'll never get a chance to compete.. But they just bumped Alligator Soul in Savannah Georgia to number two still in existence in these great United States. The Appalachian is a must dine at least once in your life, top tear resistant. Out F-ing standing, must F-ing dine at some point in your life. To the staff of The Appalachian, thank you for taking care of me went you could have told me that you close at 9pm. Thank you for watching out for this old man DC IRIS (AKA Savyon)

First off, the restaurant is truly stunning! Service was excellent too. We started with the Fried Chicken Skins. My friend had heard good things for a friend, but we weren't particularly impressed. I had the Hanger Steak as my entree, and it was delicious. I especially loved the potato dumplings! My friend had the Kansas City Strip, cooked medium rare, with broccolini. Initially, the steak was overcooked, but the staff quickly cooked another steak and made it right. Overall a really good experience! Downtown Sevierville has really evolved, and we enjoyed walking around and exploring after dinner.

My daughter ordered the Ft Worth Ribeye Medium... they cooked it rare, it was still mooing. They didn't give me ranch for my salad and the bread I paid extra for was completely raw in the middle. Also my daughter mac n cheese.... wheres the cheese? They put a little bit of cheese on top and the rest of the macaroni has nothing on it. To go order is a complete and utter joke. I had to go in and sit there, stand and wait for them to scan my giftcard on my phone because they had to get the manager to figure out how to use the texas roadhouse giftcard. So I got my food about 20-25 minutes after it should have originally been ready.

Today there was only 4 of us and they took us to one of the booths on the back wall. We asked if we could be moved and the waitress was very sweet and said she would ask. She came back and said they didn't have any other tables to move us to, so we said we weren't going to stay. She said she would ask again, very sweet. A manager came over and was very rude and said wherever they moved us would be the same, which is untrue. We have been seated in other areas where it hasn't been directly blowing on you. Consequently we left. Very sad, we were looking forward to the ribs but we won't EVER be coming back to this location, terrible customer service!
