Grilled Lamb Chops. Plating is a bit heavy handed... but delicious.

When I crave a wonderful filet mignon steak, this is where I go. Great service and friendly, professional staff. I enjoy the dim, almost moody atmosphere of the dining room. Booths are comfortable and not crowded.

Food was excellent as always. Server was very nice but the actual service and food wait time was very slow. Overall ambiance was average.

The inside of the restaurant feels similar to the decor of an Island's restaurant, only the surf and Island theme has been replaced by NASCAR and beef. Our waitress, Sam did a great job of answering our questions and pointing us in the right direction. On the menu. We got the fried onion appetizer (that I'm familiar with from Outback Steakhouse) and it hit the spot. I got the Smokehouse Burger medium rare and it actually came out medium rare! My daughter got got the large sirloin steak ordered charred rare (Pittsburgh/black and blue) and they nailed it! They did put some kind of a sauce on top of the steak, however, that made it really salty. Really salty. My daughter wound up scraping all the sauce off the steak, but she enjoyed it after that. I was not expecting quality of that sirloin steak to be as good as it was at this sort of chain establishment. My wife had a steak salad with blue cheese dressing and I've never enjoyed a steak salad as much as I did that one! You're really impressed with the food all around. Our table had a little screen with games and trivia on it and as soon as my wife pushed a button on the screen, my daughter's jumped to warn her that it would charge her money so she put it down. Sure enough, when our check arrived, there was $1.99 charge on our bill. I explained it to the manager, Maddie, and she promptly took it off of our bill. All in all, it was a great experience and I would definitely come back to Texas. Roadhouse

Went here for the first time with my wife and one of my in-laws who was visiting from out of town. Got seated relatively quickly, was pretty loud, but we could still talk without yelling. I ordered a medium rare bone-in ribeye, my wife got chicken-fried steak, and my in-law got filet mignon. One of my sides, (chili cup) showed up 10 minutes or so before any of our entrees or other sides. Little weird, but okay. Then the entrees actually show. Filet mignon was overcooked; they forgot the gravy on the chicken fried steak (and way oversalted it according to my wife), and my steak was still alive. The fat cap was gummy and not really rendered; the meat towards the exterior was a little on the rare side, but I was initially willing to put up with it until about a quarter of the way in, when I started discovering straight-up raw/uncooked meat. My guess is, the steak was just seared from flash-frozen and nobody actually bothered to temp it or check for doneness. At this point, I asked for the manager (which I've literally never done before in my life) and requested a refund rather than a recook, as my wife and in-law were nearly done eating and I didn't feel like holding them up/also don't want to pay for only 3/4ths of a product that was cooked the way I asked or even cooked at all. Manager actually wrinkled his nose at the steak, and agreed to take it off the bill, really appreciated that. Additionally, the waiter was a really nice guy. Sadly, I do think you probably shouldn't screw up steaks at a steakhouse, and all three of them had something wrong with them. I also didn't feel too great after eating just a bite or two and two or three fries (I said I would stop eating in exchange for the refund), so with all that in mind, I will have to give this place a one-star rating.

We made a reservation in advance for a party of seven to celebrate a birthday. Upon arrival, we were told it would only be a few minutes before we were seated. Those "few minutes" turned into approximately 30-35 minutes. When we were finally seated, our table was directly in front of the kitchen--not exactly my preferred location, but we decided to make the best of it. Unfortunately, being able to see directly into the kitchen turned out to be one of the worst parts of the experience. We watched the kitchen staff, chef, and manager behaving in what appeared to be a completely unprofessional manner, with staff goofing around rather than focusing on service. We ordered mostly steaks, as you would expect when dining at a premier steakhouse, including several of the more expensive items on the menu. It took approximately 45 minutes for our food to arrive. During that time, we continued to watch the kitchen staff carrying on and playing around in a completely open, visible kitchen. When our food finally arrived, three of the steaks were significantly overcooked. Mine was practically raw and had a terrible "musty" taste and smell. At the time, I chose not to complain, but looking back, I absolutely wish I had. For a birthday celebration at a chophouse, this was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Our bill was nearly $400 before the tip, which makes the quality of the food, service, and overall experience even more disappointing. My advice: stay away from this particular location. Based on our experience, it simply wasn't worth the money or the frustration.
