This longhorns has really gone downhill again. Our recent visit has a joke! Waited over 40 minutes for a burger and chicken sandwich. It was less than 1/3 full so there was no reason for such long wait. We mentioned to the kitchen server that we'd been waiting a long time. The manager apologized and said he'd discount our food. But they charged us supper prices for a lunch menu, nullifying any discount. Stay away.... Go to Texas Roadhouse instead! read more

I will admit that I did not think this visit would be turned around, but the server saved the day! We checked in online early and when we got there we were told we still had 6 people ahead of us (this seemed like a lot for call ahead seating). The restaurant was at minimum capacity but there was about 30 people waiting for tables. I watched them great another employee who walked in off the street and offer her a table with no wait. I know it was another employee because they asked why she was not working that day. I was a bit peeved about that. We were finally seated about 20-25 mins after arrival. The server was very busy and seemed a little bit stressed but was nice enough. We ordered the cheesey mushroom caps as an appetizer and they were great. We also told her my husband and mom couldn't have bagged lettuce (food sensitivity to the preservative) and she offered to have them chop up some romaine separately. Nice to do! We told her in passing we were out to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday and that we had just gotten back from our honeymoon. She offered congratulations and a happy birthday. We ordered 2-9oz filets and one 12 oz (I think) sirloin. The filets were great and cooked perfectly. My mom was happy with her sirloin. The server was great in checking in on us and refilling our drinks. She was very attentive. When we were all done and getting the boxes she came back with two desserts and plates that said "congratulations" and "happy birthday" written in chocolate. She said they were on the house to celebrate. I was so impressed she did that, we had no clue she would do that. While the long wait even after checking in online and them serving a fellow employee ahead of us were frustrating the experience was overall great. Let me say I do not eat meat but I feel like there is quite a bit for me to eat and I leave full. Fire roasted corn is delicious! Stuffed mushrooms are my favorite. I also get broccoli with the parm crust and it's hit or miss. Sometimes cooked perfectly and sometimes more on the raw side. My husband loves the Texas Tonion. We don't like the sauce. Was there this past Thursday after my son's graduation. Took forever to be seated even though I was next in line. People supposedly cleaning tables were goofing off. Tables empty and clean everywhere. We could have been seated in one of those and the waitress simply told where we were. I've learned my lesson my family and myself won't ever be back. We were seated 5:06pm - after waiting over an hour for our food, and reiterated how we would like the steak and the seafood prepared it came out ice cold and completely incorrect. My husband and I went to the College Square Mall location in Morristown, TN for a late lunch today. The restaurant was not busy...there were maybe 6 tables occupied by guests. We were seated by a not-very-pleasant host, and waited about 5 minutes for the waitress to come to the table. I ordered a mixed drink (Fuzzy Navel) with a water and my husband ordered a virgin Arnie Palmer. The waitress went to put our drink order in, and returned within about 3 minutes with my husbands drink and my water. It was a good 10 minutes before I received my drink order. Hubby ordered an 8oz Sirloin cooked to medium and I ordered the only cheeseburger on the lunch menu...the Steakhouse Cheeseburger. And while we're talking about the menu, the lunch menu leaves a lot to be desired...there is only one burger, a few steaks...just seems very limited. When the meals were brought to the table, hubby's steak was cooked to well done...no pink at all, whereas my burger was closer to medium. Go figure! The food was just ok...nothing to write home about for sure. Also, we both ordered a loaded baked potato with our meals, and mine had 2 small bits of bacon. And we ordered "lots of extra Ranch dressing"...they brought 1 small bowl of the dressing...not nearly enough. Overall, not a great visit. We most likely won't be back and will visit other steak houses in the area when we are in the mood for steak again. read more

We played ourselves again. Thought the third time would be the charm. We were sadly mistaken again. They might have fooled us three times, but there will not be a fourth. We sat 50 minutes before we ever received our food and everything was cold. We sat an hour before we were ever brought drink refills which we had to track our waitress down and ask for. Issues were brought up to manager as we were leaving and he could have cared less. We came in at 2:30 and the restaurant was half-filled, so there was no reason for the horrible service. We got on waitlist on a Saturday night and didn't have to wait to long. Our server Cameron was amazing very helpful. My husband didn't like the beer that he had and he got him another one without any questions with a smile on his face and of course sir. We will definitely ask for Cameron again. I give 1 star because there is not option for 0. The food has always been great but the problem is POOR or NO management. We tried to eat tonight to no avail. Every seat and booth in the bar area was full and I do mean all of them. NO spacing for social distancing at all. The dining room was practically empty. The hostesses, all 3 of them, said the kitchen is behind and we don't have enough wait staff I to cover the tables in the dining room. I call BS on that. It is Tuesday. what do they do on a Friday? This was purely a staffing issue which goes directly back to poor management. I really hate this because there are very few good eating choices on the east end of Morristown. Maybe the district managers will take note and make some seriously needed changes in management if they care about the loss of business. read more

This was the last time I'll be going to this location...you can bank on it! We got a waitress who was clearly taking a speed talking class. We had to have her repeat things several times as she raced through the canned welcome. We asked for a moment to decide and she took us literally. She went to the booth adjacent to ours, said she'd be back with their drinks in a moment and came right back to us. I am not sure it was even a full 60 seconds later. When she finally did return...hitting the booths next to and across from us and then zipping off without asking for our order until we flagged her down....we told her we chose the porterhouse for two...which is really enough for four or five people...and then we chose our sides and salads. The salads took an exceptionally long time to arrive and then our entrees and sides came out. The request had been medium. We're going to call this well done. The outer edges were burnt to the point of being inedible. No part of the meat was medium. I had asked for my butter on the side of my sweet potato. And it was on the side...and also swimming in it. :( The highlight of the entire meal was my husband loved his potato and said it was cooked to perfection. Our bill comes and it has a lava cake on it. We had to flag speedtalker back to the booth and showed her that we either got the wrong bill (we had no idea if we were table 34 or not) or there was an error on the dessert. Bill came back a few minutes later with dessert 'comped for frequent guest' or something like that. Ummmmm, no...that is not the case. And it annoyed me. When they have erred before they have taken it off, not shown it as comped. Because we are habitually large tippers we still left just over 15% for the lack of service, poor cooking and bill delay but we won't be back. Have been twice and both times had a great meal (chicken and avocado half sandwich w/soup for lunch and a NY Strip for dinner) for a great price. Wait staff was pleasant and helpful. Only question is both times I've been (once for lunch the other for dinner) there were 15 minute wait times with many open tables (there were only two of us). Others I've talked to have mentioned this situation as well under similar circumstances and we haven't been able to figure out why this is? Maybe management can explain? My wife and I dined there a couple of weeks ago. My wife is picky about her steaks being well done and ordered hers that way. It came back very rare. She sent it back and still wasn't well done. Our waitress never checked to see if we needed anything. If it were a busy night that would be understandable, but it was very slow at this time. If we needed anything, she was difficult to find. There was also a bad odor that filled the dining area. It smelled like a wet, musty odor as if it had been recently flooded. And the restrooms were disgusting. I doubt I will return again read more
