This was the most stress-free home contracting experience I've ever had. Austin was considerate, reliable, and trustworthy. He navigated an electric dog fence and irrigation system without damaging either and buried the pipe underneath the irrigation lines in case the lines ever need repaired. He also had to install pipe underneath a sidewalk. He hand-cut the sod and replaced it with minimal impact to the lawn. All photos were taken right after the job was completed. The area looked great right after. I highly recommend Austin and his company. He is a diamond among home contractors. I couldn't be happier with the entire experience.

The first step was turning on the water. Ours is located in a utility closet off the laundry room as we have no basement. The technician could not locate the turn on and kept saying she found most turn on valves in the basement. We have no basement. After a few minutes I suggested we reschedule if she was not confident about she needed to do. The technician was promptly out of the house and did not acknowledge me calling after her to ask if there was anything I needed to do. I called the office and received no sympathy or apology for the problem. They need a course in customer service. The earliest they had was 18 days away. Both the owner and individual I spoke with first had no interest in trying to work me in sooner. The owner came across to me as irritated by my call. On top of all this they sent me a bill almost immediately after the technician left. They have also sent me a reminder, but say they have canceled the bill. They were great as AK Irrigation.

The tree guy talked me thru my issues and basically said I didn't need to buy anything right now but suggested a product to get for next season plus a make it yourself home product to use. The flower lady helped immensely and picked out the lowest cost product for us to buy because we only needed a small amount. No upsells, gimics etc only honest advice from people who obviously care about plants and trees. The plant and tree selection was fantastic and it's a fun place just to walk thru. We will definitely be coming back here for all our yard and houseplant needs.

Otherwise, our experience was overwhelmingly subpar for the investment. We asked for a simple front yard landscaping revamp. There were more misses than wins with the overall delivery: 1) Design proposal took longer than quoted (no big deal, I know they're busy), and was missing a key part we originally asked for (and got an "oops sorry, here's a haphazard fix"). Design still lacked some our accessory asks, but we decided to disregard those anyway. I feel as though our vision wasn't heard and believe me, I am an over-communicator. Maybe budget was an unspoken obstacle? But if so, it should have been communicated - we were flexible! 2) The install day was never scheduled, and the install team showed up unannounced without designer oversight as promised. Luckily I was able to arrange to stay home for the install. 3) We were charged for new plants, that we didn't receive. Instead they "transplanted" our dead plants that looked awful (these were the reason we were investing in new landscaping altogether). 4) Old random foliage and plants were left in our landscape (likely with intention, because they planted the new around them which threw off spacing). 5) Some plants did not take and remained weed-y, even with frequent and appropriate watering. When addressed, we were told we were not watering enough... doubt it, but ok. See photos. I'm shocked they thought this was acceptable, and didn't ask how to handle if there was question at the time of install. We ended up needing to replant about half of the overall work ourselves. Old plant concerns were remedied on our invoice, and follow-up communication was prompt from the designer at least. Won't re-engage.

We had an irrigation system put in with our new build home and the system was designed well and has…read morealways functioned great for us (~2 years old now). During our first summer in our home there were a couple areas where the spray heads weren't quite reaching some far corners of the lawn. After contacting Brad (who has been phenomenal), the crew was quick to come out and make the adjustments to the spray heads. We have had Polaris Irrigation come out to winterize our system annually and turn it back on in the spring and they have always been responsive and prompt. Most recently we had some underground repair work done in our yard by our home builder this December and in the process the irrigation power line was damaged. I contacted Polaris Irrigation, and as usual, they were quick to respond to my needs and quick to get out here to fix the issue caused by someone else. I would highly recommend Polaris Irrigation as we continue to use them for our own irrigation needs.

I recently used Juan Sosa Irrigation for the following: New gutter install, new downspouts install, new soffit install, new gutter guard install, new fascia install, custom metal wrap, J channel install. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Here are the main issues I encountered. 1. Poor communication: I have difficulty reaching customer service. Telephone calls are never returned; instead, they text. When they finally text and say they will put me on the schedule for a specific date, they do not show up nor do they reach out to reschedule. In essence they tell the customer what they want to hear but do not follow through. 2. Service quality: The service provided did not meet the standards. The metal wrapping has come loose and is protruding from the fascia. I want this issue resolved especially since I have a lifetime warranty. 3. Unresolved issues: Despite raising my concerns, Juan Sosa Irrigation has not taken any steps to right the wrong. The lack of responsiveness is unacceptable. I hope Juan Sosa Irrigation takes this feedback seriously and works on improving their communication and service quality. I paid several thousands of dollars to have this service performed that Juan Sosa assured me his company could do. I would never recommend this company based on my experience. Kim Martin

I happened to see an ad on Near East Neighborhood for a new landscaping business Columbus Landworks. I contacted Marshall on Friday. He came to give me an estimate on Saturday and spent five hours on Sunday cleaning up our entire garden. He came back to edge and mulch the garden, front and side yards. Now he returns weekly to keep things neat and trim. Reasonably priced and he's a nice guy who does excellent work.
