I called for an appt, very friendly lady took my information. I arrived and was told to pick out my color. I asked to see a menu of their pedi options. I picked the "spa" pedicure. I sat down at 2:17 to soak my feet, at 2:41 she was done. I think she gave me the basic option, there was definitely not any peppermint lotion or fancy salt scrubs. She rubbed the "cheese grater" very quickly over my soles, not sure if this was considered the callus removal? The polish did not have a base coat, it was 2 coats color 1 coat clear. While she did a beautiful job with the paint, I am not satisfied with the overall pedicure. When checking out, I told the lady I didn't receive some items on the menu. I went there to get my nails done I booked an appointment for 2 people 1 full set 1 refill and 2 pedicures. The younger woman in the salon did my nails and the owner did my friends nails, because I had broken a few nails she had to replace them. The professional nail technician never mentioned that the nails she had didn't and wouldn't match the nails I already had on my hand , instead she glued the nail tips to my fingers knowing they would not match. By the time she's started to paint my nails I noticed that my nails were bumpy, uneven, and some nails were curved while the others were straight. I mentioned this to the tech and she stated it's too late why didn't I say anything before. This being her profession I trusted she would do a good job and that's not at all what happened. I never got my pedicure because she over booked 4 other people while my friend had to wait for my nail tech because the owner didn't know how to do designs. Instead of starting my friends pedicure we were both waiting, I decided I would leave as it seemed there was no fixing the problem. This establishment is great looking. It's very clean, and the staff is very friendly. I asked a lot of questions because I am only just now interested in getting regular nail service. They were patient and thorough in their answers. Angelie worked on my nails today and although I'm not happy with all 10 of the nails, 8 of them are pretty and I'll chalk the rest up to human error. Rather than have the nails redone, this will serve as a trial to see if they're a better fit than dipped nails (a service they no longer provide). They offer a lot of services so I won't let one less than stellar service be the deciding factor. My first time here I was a walk in. They did an ok job with my mani and pedicure. I walked in a 2nd time on a Sunday and they could not take me, told me to come back. I went back a 3 rd time on a Wednesday afternoon, they only had one person getting a pedicure done and said they could not take me and to come back the next day. I would like to at least give two stars because they were able to accommodate me as a walk in but the experience was so negative. This is my second time coming here. Both times I have been disappointed. This time around I only got a pedicure. After rudely being told to go wash my hands I attempted to situate my belongings (phone, wallet, car keys) in my pockets and before I was done the nail tech loudly and even more rudely told me to go wash my hands again. I then politely told her that I was getting situated and went to wash my hands. Tonya was my nail tech, after sitting down I asked for options or a menu and she pointed to a crumbled up packet of paper. The "spa" treatment was everything other than relaxing. I don't mind paying $100 for the spa treatment cause i am 9 month pregnant and can no longer reach my feet. The message was rough and painful. I figured I was just sensitive cause of the ankle swelling but the nail tech telling me to stop tensing up should have been a sign that things weren't going well. The polish is also a mess. After getting a closer look not only is there polish on the skin that I had to peel off after the treatment but the polish was so thick and the edges were clearly visible from all angles of the nails. I am very disappointment in whole experience and am upset because of the money I spent for what I received and am upset because I regret trying to "treat" myself at this salon. Once I got home and got a closer look and I feel like the list of negativity could go on and on. The pedicure chairs were old looking and the leather on the seats were all cracked, aged and the foot tub drain had rust. I feel like kicking myself for not walking out. Now I have to attempt to repair the horrible paint job and am out $100+ including tip. Thick gel polish with polish left on the skin. I was advised that it will peel off. Uneven paint job and sides of the nails rough because she filed the polish after setting with the UV lamp. After contacting the nail salon about my concerns they were very accommodating in trying to fix the issue but since my baby is due in the next few days I am unable to return to have the issues fixed. I'm pretty sure God himself loaned his manicurist out to the human race, and her name is Tanya. Be warned!! If you want her, you have to call and make an appointment. Why? During my pedicure I made sure to ask her name. I've seen her ever since, with recurring appointments every 3 weeks like clockwork. it's been 3 years. She's so thorough, knowledgeable and will explain anything to you about your nails that you wanna know. Don't like something? Tell her and she'll adjust. LOVE something and want her to keep doing it? Tell her and she'll accommodate. So, that God's manicurist wouldn't be lonely, he also loaned us his waxer. Her name is Angelie. I made the mistake of going to another salon months ago when Angelie was out to get my eyebrows done. Worst mistake ever! Now, I know to wait till she gets back. She's super sweet, thoughtful and she also knows her stuff! The rest of the staff is great as well! Some salons are really sticklers about having THEIR customers, but everyone here helps everyone out and I love it. As soon as I get in, they ask me if I want something to drink. If they get really busy and my feet are soaking a little longer than normal, any one of them will make sure to replace the water in the tub so my feet don't get cold. I LOVE this place and refuse to go anywhere else! If I were to give any constructive criticism (which has NOTHING to do with their services), it would be to have Rain disallow customers bringing in their children unless said child is also receiving a service. If they can't sit up front on their own, leave them at home. When I come for my nail appointment the last thing I want is someone's kid being loud and disruptive. read more

Just had my 3rd experience at Rain not too long ago. My first experience there was a pedicure from there which was fantastic! Kay did a great job! The past two times were full set acrylics with gel. The first time with Kevin was great! He was so kind and i did have a small cut on my finger he did all the sanitation procedures he was supposed to do (i am a licensed cosmetologist so i am a huge stickler on sanitation). The last time i went about a week ago, i couldn't wait till Thursday due to a few of my nails have fallen off since i waited so long for my fill. I had a girl who i have no idea what her name was. She did a great job however my nails were very, very sore from her filing and pushing the sidewall of the nail/ skin down too rough.
