I had an appointment scheduled yesterday at 2:00 p.m. at Kosmo Nail Bar. I arrived around 2:05 p.m. and was warmly greeted by the receptionist. The staff was polite, welcoming, and professional throughout my visit. I didn't have to wait long before a nail technician escorted me to the pedicure chair and began the service. In terms of customer service, I have no complaints--everyone was kind and accommodating. Unfortunately, the quality of the pedicure itself was extremely disappointing. I opted for the Cosmo Pedicure, which totaled $91 (receipt attached), and I also gave the technician a $20 cash tip. Less than 24 hours later--at 11:06 a.m. the following day--gel polish had already lifted from four of my toenails (photos included). For a premium pedicure costing over $100, I expected a significantly better result. To be clear, I'm not telling anyone to avoid this business altogether. I simply want to share my experience to help set realistic expectations. While the staff was friendly and the environment was pleasant, the actual pedicure service did not meet the standard I paid for. Great customer service--but a terrible pedicure. read more

I highly recommend Kosmos Nail Bar in Dumfries! The salon is clean, organized, and staff is friendly ! Johanna has done my manicure and pedicure 3 times and each time every thing is great. I also like that it's not very large. They have enough stations to accommodate approximately 15-20 people so the atmosphere is calm and somewhat quiet. read more

I had a good experience the first time I was there, but when I went back for a second time, it wasn't as good. My gel manicure lasted less than two weeks, and the lady who did my manicure was unable to complete the nail art that she had promised to do. I received poor service with the stylist telling me that my dark skin could not wear any color. Michelle T the stylist told me only white skin can wear any color of finger nail polish. I reported my experience to the managers and they did nothing. Kosmo does not value black customers. Use your dollars some where you are truly appreciated. read more

Great service at Kosmo Nail Bar. My favorite person so far is Julia. They use clean equipment for pedicure and it's a very friendly service all around. Great design in the salon as well. I can totally recommend this place. read more

I went here with my wife and young daughter for a pedicure. The people here were friendly and efficient. After having nail polish colors chosen from several walls of different options, my daughter and I were seated in a nice massage chair and they went to work. They did a good job removing my callusses and even though my daughter is a bit finicky about her nails, she had no complaints. And the polish lasted on her way longer than the last place we took her to. My wife also got a manicure and they were able to get that done shortly after our pedicures ended. Love the Ambience. The tech didn't talk much which was great so you could actually relax. Nice gesture with complimentary red wine served in plastic cup but so dry nasty just stick to water. This place is beautiful and the people are super sweet and kind! I got the regular pedicure and they had a ginormous amount of high quality paints and gels. The ambiance is amazing and they have a large amount of seating for a large audience. They also provide a wide selection of drinks while you get a service done. I went during their soft opening where they give free manicure and $20 off other services, which was thru the 18th to the 26th so give them a try fast! Definitely worth the visit :) read more

Worst experience. To start off I get a pedicure once a month so I am no new to this service. I usually go to the same person but had a gift card to this place. I would like to say I arrived 15 mins late due to an accident. I was seated and my nail guy Andy I could tell as soon as I sat down was in a rush. I stuck my foot in the tub and burnt my feet. He didn't check the water before then apologized and made it better. I booked a gel pedicure with a callus treatment which is 50 mins. He totally forgot I asked for a callus treatment. He drained the tub and put on the tow grips before realizing I asked for the callus removal. He then looked at me and was like your fine. Then I would like to say he completely skipped the 5 minute massage. He lathered oil on my leg and wiped of off with a warm towel totaling 1 minute. Every nail salon I go to sets a timer for the massage. I also always keep my toes a square shape and now my big toes are crooked and not shaped right. I told receptionist I was confused with my service. She told me he thought my feet were clean and didn't need a callus treatment forgetting to tell her he missed step and didn't want to go back. I told her I didn't get the massage and she had the technician who was working on my sister "vouch" for him. Saying he massaged. Which it crazy because both my sister and I were confused because she watched the whole thing. I watched my sister get her massage before they applied polish and after. I received none of that. I sat down 10 minutes after my sister and somehow finished my pedicure before her?! They say if I book appt and I'm late they stick in the time frame. Every other place the time of appt doesn't start till I am seated. He was rushing because he had someone after me. If that's the case then plan more accordingly and give me someone else who doesn't have another appt. If you don't have someone available make me wait because I want the full experience. Not a sped up rushed half ass pedicure. I am very upset with my work and feel it was a waste of time and money. I enjoy pedicures and the massage is my favorite part and for him to just rub oil for 30 seconds and wipe off it very sad. Also when I brought up to receptionist they had no care to help fix the issue so I paid and left. Will not be coming back! I recommend going to Fusion Nails in Woodbridge!! This was my first time patronizing this business and I left highly satisfied. The shop is clean and has a very modern spa-like vibe to it. I booked an appointment for Gel-X and Kim was my assigned tech. She was personable, gentle, and detail oriented. My desired nail design was somewhat complex, but Kim asked another nail tech to assist with the design so that I would leave with what I wanted. I made appointments for 3 of us. Two of us got technicians who were working their very first day ever. Like still in cosmetology school. We were not informed or given an option. Though the techs were very sweet it was a disorganized and poorly executed process. The manager knew how it was going the whole time, stepped in to coach and still did not offer an explanation. Half the service at full price. I have been before and been pleased. I advise you to be specific when you make an appointment and I also advise management to ask clients if they mind being practiced on. Maybe for a discount. read more

I don't normally post reviews but this was the first time I went to kosmo nail bar and I made an appointment. It was very welcoming and cleanly when I came in and I was seen my a tech who removed and shaped my nails beautifully. I was then seen by Betty and I was absolutely blown away by her service. She went above and beyond making sure my nails were like the inspo pic I showed and even stayed after hours making sure it was to my liking. The style I chose was chrome and chrome is very hit or miss depending on the color and the powder so she tested each one of the chromes to make sure that it reflected the picture I showed her (not a lot of nail salon techs do that - at least in my experience). I love how detailed she was and how she really took time in trying to perfect each one of my nails. She even dried my nails individually and made sure that each nail was perfect. I really appreciate that she took the extra step to make sure that my nails came out beautiful and I am very happy. I would definitely recommend this place and especially Betty! read more

They recently put in an ATM machine so customers could give cash tips to the nail techs. I was very happy to see they put one in out of convenience because I do not always carry cash. I used it the ATM on Sept 29 and have had 2 suspicious charges to that card. I suspect that there was a skimmer on the ATM. read more

Has potential but won't go there again. Made an appointment with them two days before and they started almost 30 mins late, had me soak in cold water and didn't even turn the spa bowl on. Not a relaxing experience at all especially when a bunch of kids were extremely loud. read more
