Peter did a tremendous job on our upstairs patio cover ... no one else could figure out how to do it and he came in and gave us options and a great price and installed it in a couple days, just like he told us. Hi, I choose to have an Awnings to save space and have a option of having shades in Summer or let the Sun in during Winter time. I called Peter to schedule an appointment and he schedule me right away. He was very prompt, on time and gives you heads up. He gave choices of materials and prices, but I already know what I want. The process of ordering was quick and as soon as it arrives. Peter called me and showed up in the next 2 days and installed the Awnings within 1 hour and 30 mins. He gave a tutorial how to operate the Awnings sticks, how to open and close it. He told me warranty for fabrics and fir the frames. Peter was polite, willing to go and beyond for his clients. I hate to give bad reviews because i understand how it can affect a business but i think i need to share this. I had Peter install my patio cover that started leaking with the first season of rain. I understand things happen and ask for him to repair it. Along with that request i told him i was willing to pay him for his time because i did not want to be one of "those customers." ( keep in mind this was within the one year warranty). I called the office three times, sent him text message twice. No response! I do residential construction and understand customers complaining about unreasonable things, but some people actually have problems for your installation and it needs to be address. Just acknowledge your customers and see if its a real problem. I gave two stars because you were on time and cost effective. That's why i would not mind paying you to fix the leak in my patio that you installed. Please understand not all customers are complainers they just want the job to be done right. Beware!!! Worst customer service. It was few years ago I paid this co to build my patio. I'll never forget this company's name Rainbow Awning. At that time they still not registered to yelp so i cant post my experience with this co. The guy i spoke with seem nice, promising and price was acceptable. Few week after the patio was setup, there was a rain and I found leaking. I wasn't worried that much at that time as i understand this thing might happen sometime and i can just call the company to fix it with the warranty covered. Here's the nightmare begin... I called the company, there was a lady answered the phone and she's really rude and very impatient that you can tell immediately while she's talking. I wasn't sounds upset or mad at all in fact just told her if she can send anyone to fix the leak. she answered "okok i will send someone to check it asap" and she hang up the phone. I begin to loose my temper and call back right the way and the same person was answered the phone. I ask her why you hang up the phone, and you don't even get my contact info or my address? she then sound dumb and ask for my info. and she repeat the same dialog "okok i will send someone..." and hang up the phone. 2 days after no body return call or come to my place, so i call back to the co. to company, and again the same lady was answered the phone. I told her Its been 2 days and no one ever contact me. And yet she keep saying someone will contact you soon and they all busy at the moment. After a week no one contact me and I call back and this time they either blocking/hang up my call immediately. No matter how many time I call they never pick up the phone. All the time I'm being very patient and understanding, and this company "Rainbow Awning" is Ridiculous!!! I don't even going to call them again. at the end I had to pay someone else to fix their problem. If you think they give you a good deal, well, I wish you good luck! Cuz u need it. read more

We contacted Rainbow Awning because we wanted to replace our home's original aluminum awnings with something more modern and attractive. I scheduled an appointment with Peter for an estimate. He arrived on time with tons of styles to choose from. Since I was undecided on stripes or solid, he made a computer rendering of several styles and sent them over for me to review. We ended up having a room removed and had to wait several weeks before we were able to move forward with our awning project. Peter patiently waited for us and we NEVER felt pressure to move forward before we were ready. Once the room was removed, Peter came back out and requoted the job since two windows were now exposed. The new quote (and renderings because I changed my mind again!) were sent over promptly and our awnings were ordered. When our awnings arrived, I received an email from Peter to let me know they were in AND they were installed within the same week! I was not at home when installation was done, so Peter came back later that afternoon to make sure I was happy with the new awnings - which of course I was! They look amazing and the price was competitive. Side note: We were expecting the awnings to look lovely, but since installation the West side of our home - which gets all the sunshine in the afternoon - has stayed significantly cooler. Our older awnings didn't really do much to block the sun, but these new awnings hang lower and really make a difference! read more

I contacted a couple of companies to replace our very old patio canopy and Peter responded within a couple of hours. After receiving our information and pictures of what we needed (via text), he provided a quote that was also the final cost - no additional charges or fees so no surprises. He came by to take measurements and show us a huge variety of swatches of material we could choose from. He was knowledgeable, professional, friendly and organized. When it came to installation, he and his assistant were quick and efficient and both wore masks the whole time. My husband and I bought a fixer upper a couple years ago. Peter helped design and install a few awnings for some of the windows last year. They used to heat up the house a lot by the sun. We were glad that we did because they've made a huge difference in temperature for our rooms. And we found out he also did patio cover. His price was very reasonable. We got a decent sized patio cover installed in our backyard last week. So we can enjoy the backyard more during summer this year. We didn't have any issue with the two projects. If we need more things exterior shading installed in the future, we will definitely call Peter again. read more
