Working with Mike and team was great from start to finish. First, I submitted a request through Yelp for a consultation that included my requirements and photo for reference. Provided some general measurements to get an initial high level estimate so that we're both aligned and in the ballpark of potentially moving forward with the project from a cost perspective. The next step was to schedule an onsite visit so that Mike can perform his technical assessment, actual measurements, and overall recommendations. Then we reviewed the design, materials(including samples), electrical requirements, lighting, fans, and TV mount. Mike provided a line item breakdown for costs, milestone for payments, payment methods accepted, and an estimated timeline for materials and when installation could start. Everything was very professional and appreciated the clear and precise communication through this onsite engagement. So I accepted the proposal and signed the agreement. Fast forward a few weeks later, Edgar had reached out to provide updates when materials could be completed and ready for pickup by the crew. Then he proposed some dates when installation could start. A group chat was created to communicate all updates in real time and this also helped provide awareness and overall team alignment. The installation was performed by Jorge and Angel. They were extremely kind and professional throughout the entire process. They're both extremely detailed, hard working, and communicated throughout different parts of the installation. They would consult and recommend where needed, so it was absolutely appreciated so there wouldn't be any confusion and really set the proper expectations. The end result really highlighted the quality of work for their two decades worth of experience. I would highly recommend this team if you're truly interested. We recently redid our backyard and had a pretty straightforward job: we wanted to add a pergola to an outer corner of our house where we previously had a large tree. We actually had a consultation with Mike in 2021 and initially planned to put a stand-alone pergola in a different part of the backyard, but ultimately didn't go through with it because of concerns over how we were actually going to use the space. This time, we knew what we really wanted because we had a self-imposed deadline since I was 38 weeks pregnant with our first child (hence why we also finally decided to redo our backyard after living here for 5 years). It was super easy to communicate with Maritza to schedule a consultation and Mike came out (mind you, on a HOT day) and he patiently walked through different ideas and suggestions on sizing, style, and the pricing. We went with a white, roof-mounted, insulated patio cover with 2 ceiling fans and 6 can lights as well as an outlet and switches for the lights/fans. Their portfolio/photos clearly show they do great work and they have very reasonable pricing so it was a no-brainer to us to go with them. Once the materials came in (which took a few weeks), the job itself took about 2-3 days (they worked VERY quickly and in VERY hot weather). It was actually our mistake that we forgot to order the ceiling fans before they started the job, but you know, we had a lot going on (it was our first week with a newborn) and we tried to order them as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the fans arrived right after they finished everything up until that point (they finished around 1pm and the fans arrived at 3pm later that day sigh), but they came back out about a week later to finish installing the fans. The patio cover looks fantastic and we're excited to spend time in our backyard, especially when our baby girl is a little older. Everyone on the team is so communicative and seems really on top of it - I can't thank Maritza, Autumn, Mike, Edgar, Walter, and the rest of their crew enough for the amazing work!
