There is no general manager and only one person, who happens to be on vacation, that can make decisions. Asked about the owner but apparently he's not available and doesn't talk to customers. By far the worst dealership I've ever been to. Promises over the phone to my daughter about a vehicle and a price point she could afford, to only get their and they wanted $300 more a month, putting it out of her price range. What the shotty salesman Craig did not expect was that Dad was coming to buy the car. After test drive and utilizing my only financial bank decisions and strong credit, the price magically came down the $300. Imagine that. At signing promises of two car keys and wiper blades were made. Then papers handed over to notice numerical part of address was incorrect. Explained that too late as already processed with DMV so I would have to go there and correct myself. I was then told it was too late in the evening to have the car detailed and I could pick up the next day. Upon arrival what a surprise, only 1 key and no wiper blades. The answer Craig gave me was that he would mail them to me. I went back in to complain. As I walked into the main office where all of the employees were hanging out in, one person asked what I needed. When I attempted to explain, they all laughed and said typical Craig. Needless I once again got no assistance. We are now 2 months later, the temporary license plate has expired, and I still have no plate. My daughter drove in town to try and pick up, and they told her sorry and they placed a 5 day extension plate on it and told her try back next week. Rather ridiculous that she lives over an hour away, and will now have to leave work early next week, whether they have the real plate yet, as they will only honor additional temp plates in 5 day increments. I called and spoke to multiple people, to finally get a manager, which only told me that he wishes I would of gotten with him sooner when all of this started, as he could of helped, yet now its kind of late and all we can do is come back every five days to update the temp tag from over an hour away. NEVER AGAIN and Hope this Reaches someone with Kids as attempting to save you the hassle. If were for me and my vehicle, I'd drop it back off and leave it. read more

They then added a $3,500 required fee under "accessories" it was some sort of dealership package. ran my credit well over 10 times. kept "wanting to make a deal" so they would step out go back and forth talking and then come back in multiple times, come to find out they were running my credit multiple times each time! forced to buy warranties if I wanted a second key, sold me a car with a cracked windshield, didn't even offer to fix until after I purchased the vehicle. Couple weeks later taillights go out and get no response from dealership or saleswoman once I explained the issue. Other little issues here and there I noticed about the car before I purchased they told me just to make a warranty claim after so many days, they didn't even want to fix it! Was promised all these things under the sun to maybe only get one or two actually given to me. This should be the last place to get repairs on your Chrysler or dodge. I had a little left front argument with a parking lot light standard recently and my Chrysler 300 was pulling to the left a little so O took it in to this dealership for an alignment. They said it would be $139. When I picked it up a few hours later, they said a number of steering components were bent and would need to be replaced, but that they were able to get it within specs and then charged me $160+ for some reason and gave me an estimate for new parts, labor and installation for almost $1000 more. It no longer pulled to the left, but the steering wheel was cockeyed, so I took it into a very professional 5 star repair shop nearby for a second opinion. They said it had no bent or damaged parts at all, but needed alignment and showed me why. Some of the major adjustments hadn't been performed at all and others were out of spec whe I brought it in. They corrected the problem, including righting the steering wheel for $129 and it performs beautifully. I went back to Rainbow Chrysler to ask for a refund and an explanation for the bogus claim of bent parts needing replacement and was blown off by one of the "service" managers, without any concern for what had happened. She only said I should have brought it back to them. Why would ANYONE do that after being ripped off for $160+ and a fraudulent estimate for $1000 worth of unnecessary repairs? read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. after purchasing my brand new 2023 dodge challenger in June of this year, about 3 months in a crack on my windshield appeared over night with no point of impact. After doing a lot of research I came across tons of other owners with the same make and model as me who had the exact same issue at the exact same time frame/mileage. My warranty states that windshields ARE COVERED for up to 12000 miles/a year. I am within that time frame. The dealership did not even want to acknowledge all the proof of others having this same issue. There are even brand new models of this car still sitting on dealership lots, barely driven with the same exact issue. After being persistent I finally was able to get this dealership to file a claim thru Mopar. 3 weeks have gone by and I was not notified either way what the status of my claim was. We called today and they said it was denied. THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR SENSE OF URGENCY IN LETTING ME KNOW THIS BRIAN. Had I not checked in I would never know. I am going to file a claim thru Mopar myself, as I know others with this problem were able to get it resolved with no cost to them. This is clearly a factory install issue of some sort if multiple people with the same year, make, model and mileage have this issue. But they all seem to have issues with the dealerships themselves. RUN FROM THIS DEALERSHIP. I know you guys rely on reviews and I will make sure to put this everywhere to help save others the trouble. After paying money for the Mopar extended warranty w/ zero deductible they told me I had to pay for my keyfob. I was told by Deborah that I "had to pay because they don't have any record of anything"...they "have no idea what I have"...and "need actual paperwork"...because I "purchased the Jeep somewhere else". WTH? Then she calls and says she had to look it up online but she got it for me. Like she did me a favor. AND the service manager was sitting right there! Seriously? Mopar/Jeep stated all you had to do was put in the last 8 of my VIN and it would pop up. ***This isn't the first snafu as stuff happens and I expect issues; but I'm sick of paying $65k for a vehicle plus another $3500 for Mopar's warranty extension to be treated like I bought a $40 red wagon.*** Obviously the owner and management don't care; whatever their mentality is, rolls down-hill to the employees causing the employees to have the exact same viewpoint. UPDATE* sent to the appointment and Deborah attempted to chastize me for not staying (another 10 minutes) waiting for her or answering her call. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. The dealership I purchased my car from was temporarily closed so I had no choice but to deal with these people. The guys at the other dealership even told me that they had gotten multiple complaints about this location, now I know why. Long story short, I purchased my car - brand new 2023 dodge challenger in June of this year. There is a factory install issue clearly because me, and many other customers with the same make/model/year of this car woke up to find a crack in the windshield starting in the EXACTsame spot with no point of impact. The crack also is a massive SAFETY HAZARD considering it goes all the way thru. My windshield could shatter. My windshield is under warranty for up to a year, and 12,000 miles. This initially began when I was only around 3,000 & 3 months in. Brian and everyone else at this dealership didnt even want to acknowledge all the other people with this issue. After being persistent they said they would send a claim into mopar. 3 weeks later I called because I hadn't heard anything. He said we were denied. I called mopar myself, and they informed me that THIS JOKE OF A DEALERSHIP didnt even submit a claim!!! i know you guys rely on reviews so i will make sure that everyone knows about this and drag your name thru the dirt. STAY AWAY AT ALL COST ! Now I know why this dealership has so many bad reviews. I have a 2020 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel with only 29k miles when the engine light came on. I am suppose to be covered under full bumper to bumper warranty for 36K but according to James at Rainbow they will change me 140.00 to do a Diagnostic test. Then if it's covered by warranty I will get my money back. This is a SCAM. I have a full warranty and shouldn't have to pay for anything upfront for any reason. I have waited for 4 months from the purchase of our Jeep to have a fair post. We received a good deal on the initial purchase of our Jeep. The after sales promises were not honored and Doug the salesman, he led us on about the repairs that were promised. He lied and used James (Jimmy) the manager in his lies. As we became impatient with the run around from Doug, we elevated the issues to Jimmy. He acted as if he did not know anything about the problems continuing. I informed him of the lies Doug was telling us and using his name, I offered to show him the texts sent to my wife and me by Doug. This did not bother him or raise any concerns, most likely common business between the two of them. He would only offer to swap out the deal driven future oil change that was claimed to be $150.00, to cover the cost of the parts needed for repairs that were poorly and cheaply attempted, which also left our Jeep in a compromised position. Jimmy also said the swap will be for the parts only and would not cover the labor to repair. I purchased the parts at another source for only $38.00 and will have them installed somewhere else. What a terrible way to turn a good purchase into a bad experience, do not trust anything not produced at the time of the sale. read more

Purchased a used truck paid $6,000 cash truck breaks down four days later there is oil in the spark plugs. Explained this to the salesman that sold me the truck no response. If you new the truck was broken then sold it to me that's fraud paperwork I signed does not protect you from fraud. Will sue them after repairs are made for selling me a lemon or let it go if its under $1,000 either way be aware they sell vehicles that break right after purchase. Horrible customer service. August I had a problem with my 2018 Jeep Wrangler. I brought it in to have it checked out. I was told by David Monk it was a misfire. He reset the switch (?) and told me if the check engine light came on again .... I was to call. Of course the next day the light came back on I called and asked for David . I was told he was on the phone he would call me back. I didn't get a call back. I called the next day . I finally spoke to David. He said he has to get in contact with his service guy who services the problem and he would contact me. I received a call from David days later after I had the repairs done at another dealership. But wait.......there's more......I said I would give them another chance. What a FOOL I was. I called to confirm an oil change appointment I made on line. I asked to be connected to the service department.......there was a pause....and I was hung up on. I called back again. The phone rang and rang and rang. I called back again and asked for the service department again ( the young lady sound very aggravated). I finally confirmed my appointment. Upon pausing and thinking about my past dealings with Rainbow Chrysler Jeep.....I said the owner or managers need to know about the unprofessionalism that plaguing this dealership. I asked to speak to management and I also asked the young lady her name. It was Rachel. For some strange reason management was nowhere to be found....until I demanded to speak to someone. Finally, David Montoya, came to the phone. I explained my experiences to him and I asked him to please cancel my future appointment. Guess what he said ( I should not have been surprised). He said " I apologize for what happened, I will have someone in service to cancel your appointment if you have any problems in the future you can call me or stop by my office. As I said.... I was a FOOL for going back, but do you think I'm going to be a FOOL to go back again? Nah!!!! After reading all of the reviews.....I'm not the only one who has had problems with this dealership. DO NOT USE. UNETHICAL, LYING MANAGEMENT AND INCOMPETENT TECHNICIANS. I'll keep this as brief as possible. Over the past several months, I brought my Ram 1500 (still under warranty) to Rainbow complaining of a musty smell and condensation on the inside of the windshield. The first 3 times they told me they leak tested it and checked the a/c but could not duplicate the issue. I happened to look under my seat after the recent rainy spell we had and found that my tool box was wet. I then found water running down the back inside wall of my cab. Called up Rainbow, asked for the service manager, spoke to Russel and was told the leak would be fixed and I'd get new carpet. Brought my truck in Monday and was told it would be ready with the new carpet on Tuesday. I went in to get it Tuesday evening and after looking in the cab, realized they didn't change the carpet. I asked for Russel and they told me he was out but the Parts Manager Bryan came out. First he told me I was wrong and that the carpet was changed. Then he told me, no the carpet is in the service area, we'll have it ready tomorrow. When I pointed out that this was bordering on incompetence he shrugged and said "I don't know what to tell you, I'll try and get it fixed." Next day I get a call and am told that the carpet was never ordered and it would take 5-6 days for it to come in. I showed up at the dealership and asked to speak to the owner. He came out with the Parts manager and both were extremely rude. The only way I found out his name was Lee Eikel was by introducing myself. In a nutshell, the owner told me that I DIDN'T BUY THE VEHICLE FROM HIS DEALERSHIP AND SHOULD TAKE IT FOR SERVICE WHERE I BOUGHT IT FROM. Here's the best part, the parts manager then accused me of cursing out the lady at the service counter, the previous evening, which I did not do (I was with my wife and daughter and there was another customer there with his daughter). He claims a salesman witnessed it but when I saw the gentleman who was at the counter and asked him if he heard me curse anyone, he threw up his hands and said he wanted no part of this. Needless to say I left and won't return. Called up the other dealer and told them the situation. They are taking care of me next week. BE WARNED LYING, UNETHICAL AND INCOMPETENT. Having a horrible experience with these folks. After diagnosing a problem that didn't need to be fixed we agreed to order a part. I'm traveling so I explained that I would not be around to pick the part up for at least 4 to 5 weeks. When the part arrived I recieved a call to schedule an appointment to install the part (we agreed that I'd pick the part up).. when I explained that I was still out of the area and would be for another 3 weeks I was told they were going to return MY part (the one I didn't need and PAID for). Eventually the dealer agreed to send a refund check to the address they used FROM MY DRIVERS LICENSE. A month later I have to call and ask where my refund is.. 3 days later I get the message that the check had been returned and now cannot be resent, that I have to show up personally and pick the check up. Once again I called and explained that I was traveling, out of town and would not be back until November. What kind of baloney is that ? It's a .5p cent stamp and they can't afford that ? Take it out of the refund and resend the check. I am convinced that they are doing this on purpose.. I would like the dealership to change my mind. read more

This is a horrible dealership! First off, they would not give me a CarFax report unless it was on a car I was going to buy. Secondly, the car I test drove (it was pre-owned) had to be jumped! Now, whether or not it signified something more wrong with the car than they just left it for months without starting it, it is ridiculus that the dealership didn't start that car for months. In all fairness, I have to say the car charged right up and I took it for a tiny test drive but, at that point, I had no intention of buying it, especially since it did not come with any warranty! After years of last resort service on my 300 then on my new Jeep, in frustration I finally filled out the survey that is sent via email about Rainbow's service. I honestly answered the questions on how slow they are at oil changes (2 hr wait on avg) and the 3 days it took for them to diagnose what was wrong with my vehicle then waiting another 3 days for it to be repaired. Today I again in a last resort ( this is the closest dealership to my home unfortunately ) I went for an oil change and yes prepared for the long wait, I was told I would have to bring my vehicle to the dealership I purchased it from for service since I didn't like them. Way to go Rainbow! Let's not try any harder! We will just turn people away now! I love it! I will take my vehicle elsewhere from now on as well as our two Dodge trucks. Thank you! read more

i wouldn't even recommend this place to someone i hate. horrible awful seedy salesmen. the only one who was the slightest bit helpful was someone who was new. everyone else was simply a snake. bought a car with an extended warranty and after the engine gave out along with the water pump they refused to fix it saying it was due to improper maintenance. i bought the car two days before i had the issue and they still refused to fix it. i had to pay out of pocket for repairs and now i'm not eating for the week. horrible!!! read more

We noticed that they had a handicap van for sale, and we have been in the market for one. Looking a the vehicle, it looked pretty good. the salesman disclosed the automatic ramp didn't work, but demonstrated how it could be opened manually, we drove the vehicle, thought it was pretty nice. We talked about a deal, then my friend went to look under the hood. There were loose wires, things bolted on, AC lines with hose clamps. People that need a handicap van, need reliable and dependable, this was a mess just waiting to break down, and they are willing to try to sell it like that without disclosing anything. Telling me it was checked out and other than the lift was manual, it was all checked out and fine. They also plus had more cost addon when you talked a deal, I would recommend staying away. if someone is willing to take advantage of someone in need of a handicap vehicle, don't trust them. read more

I actually ended up going to their Amite location but for some reason it doesn't come up in Yelp. Fortunately both places are managed by Rob so I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM....I'll start by suggesting that you look through Bergeron Auto- Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram on Yelp for a review I (Addie A) wrote about my experience there and you'll see that I've been looking for a Jeep Grand Cherokee for a while, at several dealers without any success. I actually started here at their Covington location but for whatever reason it wasn't meant to be that day, no for anything I would give a negative review for, it just didn't work out, I also went to Hammond, Slidell, and unfortunately Metairie Jeep dealers. Anyway, somehow my husband and I finally ended up at Rainbow CDJ of Amite, my sales person was Claire who instantly made us feel like this just might be the place, then I met Rob the sales manager and Cody the finance manager who just made us feel even better about taking that long 1 hour drive to see what they could offer us. We got there at exactly 1:15pm, by 2:00pm we knew we were going to at least be met half way through negotiations without feeling like we were being taken for fools. Claire gathered all our information including where we had already been, our experience at all places, what we absolutely wanted, what we hoped for and our financial limits, Rob meticulously went through it all with Cody's help, we were thoroughly explained all the "whys" and "why nots" of everything and eventually we were able to make a deal we were all happy with, needless to say before long we were heading to their Covington location to pick up our new Jeep Grand Cherokee which was all shined up and ready to take. Like I said at the beginning of this review, my husband and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Rainbow CDJ of Amite/Covington. I don't care who is closer to your home, they are for sure worth taking however long the drive may be for you. I literally walked in & told the Service dept that I was skeptical dropping my son's car off but I wanted to give them a chance. We just purchased a beautiful pre-owned Chrysler 300 for our son & I wanted to make sure that if it needed to be serviced for any recalls that it was handled. We bring all of our vehicles to their respective dealership. I think if you have a Chrysler, then it should have Chrysler parts. We own Ford's & love the local Ford dealership & we have a great relationship with them, but we couldn't pass up the great deal on this 300 for our son. So I told my husband I would bring it in to this dealership. I definitely don't want to drive to the Southshore for an oil change, but if I need to I will. So I dropped it off on a Monday evening. I was checked in by Sabrina. I explained we just purchased the car & I wanted to get the car serviced (oil change, tire rotation, the usual stuff) and I needed them to see why a small amount of oil was occasionally dripping. She did a great job of keeping us notified of what needed to be serviced & the oil was just a gasket that needed to be replaced. They did a few other services, which is expected on a 10+year old vehicle. I feel like my son is in a well serviced vehicle & I'm glad I gave Rainbow a chance. I hope they keep up the good work! Brought my car in because my automatic window was stuck in the down position. They called to let me know how much the cost was to repair it. No written estimate or breakdown of charges but simply an amount - a very HIGH amount. I paid the diagnostic fee, picked up my car and called a car repair shop that works on imports. Almost $200 less than this place and were professional enough to email a written estimate with a breakdown of how much the part cost, as well as labor and taxes. Also, the three people behind the service desk, as well as many other employees throughout the dealership were not wearing masks in the middle of a pandemic and while our state is under a mandate to wear masks. The lady who assisted me did put her mask on when she saw I had one on, but none of the other employees behind the service desk even pretended to placate me by moving their mask from around their necks to cover their mouth and nose. He was friendly, not your typical pushy used car salesman. He saw we came in a Suburban, so he didn't bother trying to "sell me" on the Suburban we were looking at. He stepped back when it was appropriate and let my husband and I discuss, which was nice. The sound proof /closed door playroom for the kids had walls of windows and was such a relief! We were able to talk outside the playroom while the kids watched TV and played. It was very nice. We bought a Suburban today and I am very glad we did! Never go to the dealer for service....unless it's this one. Great service department. I had a taillight that went out (coming and going), they repaired the wires and only charged me $28. I thought it was an electrical short or that I needed replace some expensive parts but they saved me money. Another time I was looking for tires, they beat everyone else's price by $100 for comparable tires! Granted, it was a sale they had that month, but I was still so surprised that the best deal I could find was at the dealership. I actually priced them as a joke, to see how much more they charged than dedicated tire shops, so it was a pleasant surprise. read more

Worst service department ever!!!! They have had my truck since 2/21 and still have not given me an answer on what's wrong with my truck! No one and I mean no one is on the same page. Mechanic says one thing, person at the front desk says something else and whoever answers the phone has no clue of what's going on. They haven't called me we have had to call them or go over there. I can't wait to get my truck and never step foot on this dealership lot again. I'll go to Slidell or Baton Rouge before I go to this service department again!! read more
