The family and I had just finished shopping in the area and wanted donuts on a Saturday morning. Rainbow Donuts by Ava was open and easy to find. We stopped in later on the morning and the selection seemed on the smaller side but still plenty of options. We grabbed a few donut holes and 1/2 dozen donuts. I was immediately greeted with a smile when I walked in. It's super cute inside and the smell was divine. The sweet lady that helped me was so patient with me. It was my first time, and the donut display was overwhelming in the best way. I went with my gut and got my simple go-to's - glazed, chocolate sprinkled, and a Boston cream. She threw in some donut holes without me noticing. I opened the box up when I got to my car and was pleasantly surprised! (Thank you!) The amazement did not stop there... let me tell you - that Boston cream was the BEST Boston cream donut I have ever sunk my teeth into. The other donuts were also super tasty. We are at Rainbow Donuts just about every weekend to bring a dozen doughnuts to my grandmother's care home. It's to the point now that the residents and caretakers at the home ask for these doughnuts as they're just that good. All of the employees we have interacted with over the years have been absolutely wonderful. Rainbow Donuts' confections are simply the best in the area and the local charm they provide keeps us coming back. Yes they are open 5:30am-3pm 6 days a week only closed Tuesdays. They are Under new ownership and the doughnuts are fluffy airy and delicious. Try their Thai Ice tea it backs a punch. I've been coming here since the original owner was making breakfast burritos. They were great. Sadly the previous owner passed, his children held it as long as they could. I'm glad it has now gone to a new couple and they are dedicated to the doughnuts! Maybe they will start the breakfast burritos again. We ate the doughnuts before I could take pictures. When you walk to the front doors of the donut shop, you are cheerfully greeted with colorful donut stickers on the doors. All of the store's info is on the doors, too (hours of op, address, and so on). The shop is so cute and clean. As we walked up to the displays, we were greeted by the friendly owners. They were helpful and patient while we were hesitant with what we wanted. They have an arrrrray of amazingly beautiful, colorful and delicious choices. It was hard just to pick a dozen. We ordered: apple fritters (my husband is picky and he loved it. It was perfectly crispy, and well balanced in dough to apple ratio), blueberry (so good, my fav), glazed cronut, old fashioned glazed, raspberry filled glazed, maple bar, donut holes, crispy bacon topped on a glazed donut, samoa type donut (Tulsa, coconut, on top of maple and drizzle with chocolate), fruity pebble ... they have amazing croissants, and drinks, too. We cant wait to come back. We had time, so we sat down and enjoyed the donuts, together. This donut shop is bringing us together, this morning. First time. Quant little shop. We stopped in at 10am and they were freshly restocking! We had just left another donut shop that was empty with no intent of selling more Donuts. I loved Beyond donuts which was previously at this location so I gave this place a chance today. Not sure what people are thinking with their review. I had two filled donuts they barely had any filling. My Boston cream donut had about a teaspoon of filling when you go to Bosa donut it's completely filled.
