But didn't deny the wrongdoing when confronted. Tim the shop owner claimed that they did a relearn afterwards. But relearn is not the same as repair! The vacuum leak problem was totally ignored and the smoke test was not done. Tim insisted that I can safely drive with a bad oxygen sensor. Glad I didn't and God Bless AAA tow truck. Another shop corrected what WHAR neglected to do. Never again am I setting my foot in this shop and don't recommend it to anyone. I guess this shop knows how to take advantage of an elderly woman. UPDATE: four months ago (May 2025), this very shop did some work on my car and requested a positive review. I said OK but am unable to post it since I reviewed before and Google won't let me do it again. The shop then sent a link to my phone and I was able to post a positive review from a different gmail address. I am buffled how WHAR even knew my another gmail that I never told them about, and what else they know about me, and how they are going to use this knowledge. IMHO this explains how many positive reviews of this shop are posted. Don't take them for granted.

I was able to call the lady and tell her that she didn't owe me anything because of their kindness . I can't say I need auto body shops alot but I will not recommend any business that has bad business practices. I know parts are expensive, but that's ridiculous. She told them that was too much and called around and M & S Auto's estimate was for 260.00. They recognized the dire need of a working Mom. They had compassion for her situation and helped her. They fixed her car in 20 minutes, instead of the Tuesday, originally stated. She had her car towed to Auto Repair Inc.1st. They did a diagnostic test on her car. They charged her 70.00 for that, and gave her the 700.00 estimate. When she wisely declined, she tried to pay the bill with her credit card over the phone. They refused to take payment over the phone, and refused to release her car to the towing company. She was sick, with 3 kids, I gave her a ride to the shop to pay in person. They made her wait around the desk, while the workers stood around, taking another customers info over the phone. One guy told her to quit asking questions. What type of men take advantage of a woman, who is obviously sick and struggling. Speak to her in a way that she comes out sobbing, at her wits end. SHAME ON YOU AUTO REPAIR INC. Visited All Star Muffler just last week ... they were able to squeeze me in the afternoon after I…read morespoke to them after 2pm... the service manager Dave was very friendly polite and upfront with what was wrong and how they proposed to repair my exhaust system by actually showing me the problems while the car was up on the lift... something none of the other 3 shops did... instead of saying that the whole exhaust system was rotted out and needed replacing from the exhaust header back for $3k+... he replaced a down tube to the original Catalytic Converter and another connector to the rear convertor with 2 hangars for $248.. all with a 2 year warranty... Highly Recommended 5 stars!!!
