Back in the day they was honest. Now they are some dishonesty people. I was told my car need $1100 worth of work done to stop an oil leak. I refuse the work, toon my van to another shop and was fix for $125. this the second time. First time they put a axle on my van when I pick it up every light was on my dashboard. Wen I i mentioned y my lights on I was shock of the response, I was told my lights was on wen I brought it in. Wow! Don't trust the new Jo joes they dishonest. read more

I took my car there on Saturday May 18 2023 to have a wheel alignment done. So while I'm waiting in their waiting room the man that is doin the alignment comes and tells me there is a light on that says there is something wrong thst he cannot do the alignment. I told him that I did not understand what he meant so we went out to the car and he showed me the light that was on. I told him that light was for the cruise control to let you know that it is engage, he proceeded to tell that everything is our of alignment and needs to be done by the dealer, by the way that light has been on since I bought the car brand new and when you turn the cruise control off the light goes off and when the cruise control is engaged it turns green, he just kept on telling me different. So I went home checked I went through the owners manual and there was nothing there so called the dealer and he said that light is from the cruise control and if there was something else wrong with the car a warning light would have been lit. I hate when you take your car to have work done and the person doing the work doesn't know what he is doing. I definitely would not ever take my car back there for anything and in fact I wouldn't take my wagon to get fixed there and also recommend to everyone else to avoid this place. . read more

They replaced the motor in my car. Did not replace exhaust manifold gasket. Now the car is loud and a muffler shop wont touch it. Why would you have not replaced a $20 gasket while the motor was out? I told her over and over the car needed to be quiet. So disappointed in them. Actually let them repo the car because no one wants to fix it right... Think twice before using them for anything major. Oh yea. My bill was $5300 to get a loud unfixed car back. Shame on you Jo Jo. You suck!!!! read more

My air conditioner was making a loud humming sound and blowing out warm air. I called Jo-Joe's and they told me to bring it in anytime, no appt. They called within two hrs with an estimate and completed the job by 2pm, same day. Very reasonable price (no extra charges) and excellent service. Absolutely awful. Fair warning. Do not, I repeat, do not take your car here. My review is also going directly to the BBB and anywhere that I may be able to warn others. Let me first state the positive. The other girl who worked the front register and 1 of the mechanics were cordial and gave the impression that they wanted to resolve the issue. I don't like writing reviews. Good reviews-great. What I have to document here is just unfortunate. If this place wants to stay in business-then 'Laura the owner' should not be customer facing. Period. My interaction with her was - off the charts- bizarre and inappropriate. I was literally attacked by her because she had a sticky note with my paperwork and keys that I began to walk away with. She started yelling at me "Give me back that note! That's mine! " she runs from behind the register and bear hugs me from behind and rips some stupid sticky note out of my hands. I have absolutely no idea what that memo said ..but I really, really wanted to know after she felt compelled to attack a customer for it. What the hell was that about??!!! I I don't know if Laura the owner was having a bad week or bad month but clearly Laura is not equipped with any kind of social skills to interact with the public. Yikes. I was told my EGR valve needed fixed. Paid $358 for the repair and as I drove it off the lot-the check engine immediately went back light on. They were closing but told me the light just needed reset..which I learned was untrue and that had they fixed the actual problem they would not need to reset the light. Believing that there was no concern, I did not take it back in until the e-check guy told me I had an EGR valve issue and could not get my tags. I take it back -they tell me they will reorder the part to resolve and provide the receipt to take to e-check to get passed. When I took my Wrangler back to have fixed Laura said no -that the warranty expired. I was upset and told her I didn't think I should have to EGR valve a year later-that makes no sense. I was stating my case and she said--and I quote "Fine, I'll fix it just to shut you the fuck up" Now..I think if you're smart-you do NOT leave your vehicle with anyone who talks to you like that. I took my Jeep to Professional Auto & Truck Services in North Ridgeville. I previously had extensive work done on my wrangler and justifiably paid thousands, I will happily give them thousands more if need be. They are currently assessing and fixing the issue and I feel 100% comfortable with it in their hands. They are awesome. Laura the owner is abrasive and downright freaked me out. A friend recommended this shop to me and I am glad she did! Jo Joe's is a good solid mechanic and won't try to oversell you. As a woman, I also like that I was treated with respect and not like I am clueless. They took care of my AC issue with my car quickly and did good work. They have a small waiting room if you're going to wait while they work. It's nothing fancy, but its clean, with a TV and toys. I will definitely be coming back to Jo Joe's for future car service needs. read more

Took me a few years to finally find a auto repair place I can trust. I have a car that has lots of odd problems and they always find a way to fix them and the prices all seem very fair. Today had a crazy Tire issue and they got me in and fixed it very quickly even though they had lots of repairs to do. Had I not stopped there when I did guess my tire would of fallen off. This is the best auto shop I have ever been to. Keep in mind that I've been working on cars since I was a child with my father I know how to repair practically everything I go to a mechanic for but just prefer the efficiency and their access to tools. I've been to mechanics in Toronto Canada, Baltimore Maryland, Miami Florida, and here in the Cleveland area. Long story short oh, they are all essentially the same. They will rip you off bye giving you an excessive list of things that need to be addressed and sometimes they may even damage or undo certain things to demonstrate the systems are not functioning so that way they can quote fix on quote The issue. And yes women are common targets, that is coming straight from the horse's mouth. These guys are literally the only people I've ever met that are forward and honest. Multiple times give inspected something for me and giving me advice on what I can do. They always have recommended cheaper alternatives that were effective. They've also helped me find parts that I needed which no other mechanic will do unless they are buying them for you and charging you 10 times more. They also have discounts and give you memorabilia for free which is nice. I have it at waiting lounge to hang out in which is comfortable. There are no appointment since first come first serve so you just show up. And because all of their mechanics are seasoned veterans they can blast through cars weight faster then any popular mechanic shop can. I've had three to four people in front of me having their cars addressed and I was still done in about 30 minutes. I don't already the fastest service I've ever used oh, they are also the most affordable service, and they are the only service where I have ever felt they were being honest with me. For that last reason I strongly suggest everyone go. And for that last reason I especially recommend individuals who are not familiar with cars as a reason to go. Not only will you have your issue addressed, but you will be educated so you can learn about the problem. read more

Service is incredibly quick (typically no one more than one day), prices are reasonable, and the young lady who works behind the counter may honestly be the most beautiful woman in Cleveland. This was by far the best auto service I've gotten, I was so impressed. I was in the middle of a long road trip with my daughter from the East Coast, going through Cleveland, when my car broke down. Jo-Joe's was able to diagnose the issue within 3 minutes, and despite their seemingly busy lot, they understood my predicament and were able to get my car in right away. We. waited in a very comfortable waiting room, and the bathroom was by far the nicest auto shop bathroom I've ever experienced--even with granite counter-top! The owner/manager and team couldn't have been nicer, and they were so efficient with the repair. The whole thing took an hour, and we were able to get back on the road, my car was in great shape after their work. Plus, they returned my old part for the core cost without any reminder. Integrity, Kindness, Efficiency, Skillful. 5 stars plus. Also, the price was very reasonable. Next time my car breaks down, I wish I could bring it back to Jo-Joe's in Cleveland! read more

Took a calculated risk and really messed up my car.. left it in an akward position at Jo-Jo's.... and then my phone started having troubles. I stopped in to check on it a couple days later and the car was finished... for roughly half the price I thought it would cost... and no questions or lectures about how stupid my decision was to drive on missing wheel bolts. (In my defense I had to get to e-check that day and hadnt driven it in 6 years). Should have taken it to Jo-Jos the day of e-check and I wouldnt have wrecked... I forgot they work so quickly! Been going to them for years, and they've only gotten better. A++ read more

My windshield wipers and blinker went out while raining badly. I searched google and found many great reviews about this company and decided to give them a try. I had never heard of them or had service done here before. As nervous as I was to have my car towed off to a shop that I had never been to or met anyone who actually worked there. I stepped out on a leap of faith because they had such wonderful reviews with yelp and the ladies who answer the phones and take care of the paperwork and front desk were so comforting and kind. They ended up having to keep my car over night because of electrical malfunctions... Still I was a bit nervous. She assured me that they would be able to diagnose the problem and if not would refer me to the dealer. I felt confident in that because she was honest and not trying to give me the run around. The next morning I called bright and early (7am) The phone was answered professionally with courtesy and kindness. She explained to me that they would give me a call as soon as my car was diagnosed which she did. She told me the problem and the pricing (pricing was more than reasonable). Within an hour my car was fixed and ready for pick up. They did not finalize or complete any work on my car that was not approved by me first. As well as, I was kept informed every step of the way. When my car was finished, I was picked up in a nice new car courtesy their shuttle service and brought up to the shop to pick up my car. I was able to meet the owner on the ride there and the nice young lady who helped me over the phone as well. It was honestly a god send to find this shop and this has been one of my best experiences regarding car repairs and being treated kind and fair.
