I drove up to Cleveland from Columbus to take a friend to the Euclid Hospital for a follow-up appointment. Somewhere along the way, I got a hole in one of my tires. I went to Smolic Tire at the suggestion of the Valet Service person. The suggestion was "spot on". I had my tire fixed in less than an hour. I came here 3 times just to get my tire repaired and have me waiting for literally 3 days . They said they ordered the tire but never got the tire put on. Customer service is terrible I just don't feel welcomed . It's never "Hey, how you doing" I just get a blank stare until I'm ready to say what I want. read more

This place is very rude and unprofessional. Not the employees but the owners (Carrie Smolic and her husband). We came to rectify a suituation that we were still having with previous work they did in October 2020. When we got there we were met with a very nasty, disrespectful, and unprofessional attitude from Carrie Smolic. After giving us the run around to resolve the issue, we finally were told to come back the next day to rectify situation. We come back the next day, and were met with the same if not more aggressive attitudes from both owners (Carrie Smolic and her husband). They were loud and rude and defensive and not willing to correct their errors or let anyone talk. I have never received or seen such disrespectful behavior from so called business owners in my adult life.y husband had to step in to make tell the owners to lower their voices and calm down. They were in the wrong, and when asked to prove they did the correct work, they persisted to get angry, dismissive, and unprofessional.They refused to accommodate us with the solution they told us to come back up there for. They knew they did not perform the work and did not want to compensate us. We left dissatisfied, disappointed, with the same car issues we came there for, none of our original parts we paid for, and a bunch of lies and excuses. I WILL NEVER RETURN AND ADVISE YOU NOT TO AS WELL, THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS AND THEY DESERVE A ZERO. Even when I had NTB on the phone They refused to listen to NTB about the issue Smolic "supposedly fixed". I had been to the Smolic Tire in Rock Creek years ago. Excellent service and prices. I moved to Euclid Ohio maybe ten years ago and had been to most of the car repair shops around. I just happened to drive by Smolic Tires in Euclid. Didn't know it was there. My car was out of alignment and my front tires were shot. So I stopped in. They had to fix a bad bearing in front. Two new front tires. They fixed my 4 wheel drive. Cleared and fixed sensor warning lights in dash. I was ready to scrap my car and now it drives better then when I bought it. 300 + dollars and I couldn't be happier. Stopped by very badly in need of tires after visiting another tire shop that wasn't yet open. This place was awesome. Glad I came here. Very helpful and very knowledgeable. Got me in and out in probably 30 minutes or less. Will do business here from now on. *update* 4/29- I went in last week to have some work done. I needed a mount and an oil change. I paid for an oil change and left because I assumed I got one. Well today I checked my fluids because I have a 10 year old car and I'm driving it out of town in the a.m. Now instead of hitting the road I have to go ham because my oil was never changed. My antifreeze is empty and I have the same dirty oil I had last week when I checked it. They had some trouble getting my tire off because the bolts had been stripped so maybe they were too distracted and forgot....yea ok... whatever! I want my gotdamn oil changed! If I pay for a service I expect just that! I will take one star away for now. Hopefully they don't give me a hard time. I have hope they will make this right. The lady that runs the 200th st garage is reasonable. It'd be nice to have mechanics I can count on. We shall see... read more

In less than 10 minutes, they had taken the tire off the rim, found the leak(s) and hot patched the hole. "Hot patch is best patch", indeed! Quite inexpensive. read more

I have just spent the last several hours of my life here and this isn't the first time I've used Smolic for various issues. I can say with confidence that they are hands down the only people that I will use for my tires. They usually have quite a wait but it's worth it, they do good work at a fraction of the cost of the large chain establishments and they guarantee their work just as well. The woman that runs the phones and etc is knowledgeable and she is always doing approximately 25 things, and I haven't seen her drop the ball on any of them, ever. It's amazing. She gets down on her hands and knees and helps with cars and she answers all the phones and is great with customers. There really isn't a better place in the area you could convince me is better. read more

I'm going back to get my 2 rear tires, today. When I bought the front 2 tires-several months ago, I was impressed by how busy they were-hustle and bustle, yet, they were organized and very efficient. They had me in and out quickly. The tires were high quality and LOW cost. They even fixed a grinding noise FREE of charge. This place is fine if it's something to do with tires. I recently went there for an oil change after my mechanic of 20 years closed her business. Went in on a Saturday morning, they changed the oil and I had previously told her I use the 5,000 mile oil. When the oil change was done the office manager indicated that I would have had to specify that kind of oil before hand...okay. I leave there after the oil change and an hour later my engine light is on. This is not a coincidence. I've had my car for over six years and the engine light has never come on. I take it back up there, and the office manager puts it on that machine and tells me that I need to use a higher grade of gasoline..wth? First of all I use the grade of fuel that is listed in the Hyundai manual. Secondly I've always used the same grade and never had an issue. She reset the light and it went off. In retrospect I'm sure she should have had someone look under the hood to see if they had knocked something out of whack during the oil change. I drove most of that day running errands, but the next morning there was a HUGE puddle of oil in my driveway. This was a Sunday, so again on Monday another big oil area in my driveway. Again...had my car over six years and it never leaked even one drop of oil. I call this office manager lady and then take the car back up there....again. I'm standing there waiting and she never says anything to me. I ask her what's going on and she says she's waiting for a part for my car. What? you haven't even told me what's happening so what part? She said my drain plug needs to be replaced. I ask why and she said they wear out...really? I had my previous car 15 years, got regular oil changes and the plug never wore out. So I Google this and find out she doesn't know what she's talking about. I asked how did it wear out...she tells me to check the plug every two oil changes, because they wear out. What?! So I'm supposed to be checking this how? No lady..I trust the person who is changing my oil to know when they take the bolt off and put it back on again if there is an issue. This is a long post, but the short story is they stripped it. I asked enough questions to get her to use the word stripped. So of course I asked her if her mechanic had stripped it....which I already knew they had. If she had even said that these problems "possibly" could have been caused by her mechanic I would have been fine..stuff happens. But she continued to lie and act as if all the crap and the two trips back up there immediately after the oil change were unrelated. They can repair a tire for me in the future only if I'm unable to get anywhere else, but they will NEVER again touch anything else on my car. This was my first experience with them doing anything under the hood, and it was not a good one. Also, she made it clear she was completely unconcerned with losing a potential new customer. read more
