Several days of checking in, I received an email about renovations happening in the lodge and that the hot tub wont be available and roof was being repaired. We were offered a 20% discount and or be moved to a different accommodations in town. We decided to still stay as we were only here for 1 night on our way back home. I really wanted to be outside the town, surrounded by mountains and nature. We arrived a little early. Our room was not ready yet. We explored the beautiful grounds. Sat on rocking chairs near the river. So relaxing. The lady at front personally got us and shown us our room. We obviously got a major upgrade. It was spacious, beautifully decorated cabin, and the bathroom was divine. Who cares about the hot tub, Im taking a hot bath in our own tub. It has its own wood fireplace. Breakfast was included, it was fantastic. Buffet style, Included pork loin and gravy, eggs, grits, fresh fruit, juice, cold cereal, yogurt, and bread. The renovation didn't bother our stay at all. Overall, it was a nice stop on our way back north.

This place is a dump Promote themselves as a luxury lodging place. Joke. Our room was filthy. No hot water. Noisy. No air conditioning. We left after one night. Good views but the basics are missing. We moved on.

I am so done with this place. I gave them some slack last time I was here because, well, Covid, but that was in October. Still the same incompetent teenagers working here, the bartender Darla, who I thought must be new last time I was here because of the slowness etc, was here again, and so hammered she could barely make a vodka soda and she was using the drink glasses to scoop the ice(very dangerous and a big no no). I wanted to jump behind the bar and help... The hot tub is broken, which is really the only amenity here, and our room is filthy. I know this seems horrible, but I am extremely disappointed.

We stayed for 5 days during shoulder season when many things close down. (Last day was October 23rd). The location is semi remote but could not be more beautiful. There is not one spot in either direction for one hour where you stand and don't have a view. The community and even people just visiting are so warm and kind! The room is as pictured except for the bathroom. Our tub really needed to be refinished and for the $150 and 10+ years it lasts I would recommend to the owner. The patio and river view is beyond to die for and even prettier in pictures. They deliver fresh firewood to your porch every day and provide extra out front. The entire staff multitasks like I've never seen and every single one is beyond warm, helpful, and kind. Breakfast was amazing with 2 options a day most of the time. The mountain breakfast had potatoes, eggs and bacon. There was also a sausage gravy and biscuits that was to die for. Third option was beef tip hash with over easy eggs. We tried the dinner and while I must admit the menu and ingredients were bold and sounded great on paper, the execution was not there. The service and the dining area was great. You are one hour in one direction from Bozeman and one hour in other direction of the west entrance to Yellowstone. You HAVE to rent a car when here! Only other suggestion for the owner is to have housekeeping do more than make the beds and leave fresh towels. Our bathroom was never cleaned and we only got coffee restocked once in 5 days. We went to front desk to ask for more and they had no Problems providing. The views, the people, the culture made it all worth it.

My husband and I were doing a Western US road trip and we stopped in Big Sky for a little hiking and skiing. I did some research on hotels in the area and we decided to stay here to take advantage of some privacy and charming accommodations. We had a really positive experience; the staff were kind and helpful, the room was clean and cozy, and the grounds themselves were really lovely. Breakfast in the morning was homemade and delicious, the chef came up to serve us and check in about how we were enjoying things. Would definitely recommend this place to couples!

We stayed in the Golden Eagle room and enjoyed the large balcony with views of the pond and the Gallatin River.

I've heard that the chef brings out the food at this restaurant. This time was no exception. The chef brought out my tartar. I hate to say this, but I was not really impressed. The presentation was lovely and the meat was fresh and delicious, but I think it had a little too much going on for it. The potato chips which it was served with were just a little too salty and seasoned for my taste and I prefer stick to be as simple and mostly focused on the real true flavors of the meat rather than the spices and the herbs which it is served with. Everything was overwhelming, and unfortunately, the taste of elk was a little too muted for me. Nevertheless, it was a lovely dish and I will definitely try other dishes at this restaurant. Next time I visit. The prices are pretty high, but I think the quality and definitely the times match the type of items that they serve at this restaurant.

There are so many food options close by that it was hard to make decisions on where to go! We stayed here three nights over a long weekend for a friend's wedding. There is a rabbit in the yard who enjoys peanuts! Who knew? Came right up to us and took a few peanuts from our hands. The room was gorgeous and when the window was open you could easily hear the water fountain feature in the yard, which was incredibly relaxing. We hardly ever take naps, but on this stay the bed was so comfy we ended up lounging happily! We had a breakfast one of the mornings, which was so tasty - mushroom omelette with fresh fruit on the side. It was made on site by the owner and a friend of his and you could tell that care was put into making it. Overall: A+ Book in advance (they fill up quick), feed the yard rabbit, enjoy breakfast and venture around the grounds!

I also used the gym twice during my stay, and it exceeded my expectations. It was clean, stocked with towels and water, and featured excellent equipment, a brand new peloton bike. There was also a nice indoor pool. The complementary breakfast each morning was fresh, satisfying and a great way to start the day. The location of the hotel was perfect, close to everything . I rented a car, I was a bit disappointed that guests are charged for parking. I do hope the hotel will consider waiving parking fees in the future. After I returned home, I noticed a charge on my bill from the hotel restaurant, a charge i hadn't made. I called the hotel, and they assured me they would look into it. Just two days later, i received a call from Ryan Bates, the assistant general manager, who personally apologized for the inconvenience and promptly issued a refund. That level of customer service truly stands out and ledt a lasting impression. All in all, this was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. I would definitely stay here again next time im in Bozeman.

We were running late, and I kept letting them know. We get here at just part midnight, and they have no room. The front desk guy, with his little yellow- orange bleach spot in they're front, kept talking in circles. First it was that we didn't have a reservation. Then it was, they tried to charge the card and it was declined. We always pay AT the hotel. We argued for 25 minutes when I told him to call his boss. Boss tells him that he checked in and checked out our room. He and my husband go check the room. No AC and it's dirty. But... supposedly it was our room to begin with?? Do we want him to housekeep it. It's now 1am, and we've been on the road since 6am. He was indignant for us making him clean "OUR" room. 1:30am room in ready. Hands out keys and tells us the room number. Geeeze thanks. We get in the room, beds have clean linens and are kinda made. Floor isn't vacuumed. There is a black handprint on the wall corner next to the shower. There is some brown/rust drops around the toilet. There is dust and dirt all over the bathroom. And... there is a pubic hair and what looks like a scab or hard booger in the shower. I was so disgusted I got my gloves and Lysol wipes out of my bag. He was awful. The room was awful. Like put a picture on the wall or something. I really don't like when the bathroom doesn't have a door either since the sliding frosted glass panel is bad at night or when you need some privacy to poop! Other guests here and see it all. The bed and pillows are nice though. Weird to swivel chairs in the middle of the room allow you to see the mountains or stare at a wall. Our bathroom toilet was super low to the ground (maybe a foot high). It clogged twice during our stay (not by me.....wife) and the seat was loose and crooked.
