    Campfire Lodge's Cinnamon Roll
    Lori K.

Looking for an authentic local breakfast place, then this is it. One of the most scenic locations along the river you will find. You can even watch people fly fishing while dining. We went for breakfast, and got seated pretty quickly. Our party got a mixture of breakfast items, but I opted for the single pancake, a side of bacon plus a cinnamon roll for us to share. The pancake was one of the best I've ever had and as big as my dinner plate!!! The bacon was perfectly cooked...crispy just like I like it. The cinnamon roll was fantastic and HUGE! I can see why these 2 items are what they are known for! Afterwards, we had the perfect family photo shoot right outside the back door. It was a little drizzly when I went, but on a pretty day definitely sit on the back porch for the most perfect setting. This is a must breakfast spot when in the area! (Just a heads up, this is a cash only restaurant, so bring some extra cash, it's definitely worth it!)

#3 $15.25 pic is missing 2 slices of toast.

Happy to let the owners justify our breakfast on 6-18-21. #3 1 egg. 3 pieces bacon. 2 slices toast. $15.25. Really? Toast not in pic.

We come to Yellowstone area every year and this has always been one of our favorite places to get breakfast and bring our guests to experience the scenery. It always has been a bit expensive, but the view made it totally worth it. We were about blown over by the pricing this year and were given a bit of a guff about not having a reservation, nevermind the place was about empty and we had never needed a reservation before. Good to know now I guess. The food is mediocre, not great, not bad. Not sure we will be going back anymore because the cost of the meal has exceeded the benefits of the beautiful location. Pack a picnic and head back to the Ghost Village area just adjacent would be my recommendation. If the costs don't scare you off, it's a totally enjoyable experience, just call ahead!

We just came for the breakfast, which was great. The small accommodations made for an hour long wait but it was worth it in the end. The cinnamon roll was as big as my head and delicious (could have used more cinnamon though). The bacon was thick and meaty - 3 slices per order. The hashbrowns are made there in their kitchen - fresh and crispy. The pancakes were good too - thick and huge. I don't know how anyone could eat two! The only thing it was missing was huckleberry pancakes and huckleberry syrup. When you're done eating, walk out to the riverside; it's gorgeous!

    The daily pancake special

This review is for the cafe only A trip to West Yellowstone, Montana is not complete without eating breakfast at the cafe at the Campfire Lodge Resort nestled on the beautiful Madison River. Although they serve the worst cup of coffee in the U.S., the breakfasts at the Campfire are pretty darn good. They have a daily pancake special, which is a giant pancake topped with two cooked-to-order eggs and three slices of bacon. This is what I usually order and I've never been disappointed. Everyday the types of berries cooked in the pancake changes and they are all good. If cinnamon rolls are your thing, they make a ginormous one here. They have great omelets and hash browns too. I usually go with a group of about 8 people and our wait to get seated is normally 60-90 minutes as this is a popular place. There are benches and chairs along the river where we sit and wait for our table, so the time does pass quickly. Sometimes members of our party will get out their fly rods and do a bit of fishing while we wait. Once seated, the food takes forever to be served, so plan your day accordingly. Warning: They do not accept credit cards, but there is an ATM available that is usually in working order. Let's see, really bad coffee, they don't take credit cards, long wait, good food, outstanding views of the Madison River. You won't be disappointed.

Friendly service and yummy food! The hotcake was the best. Great spot behind the cafe to watch some fly fishing and enjoy the sunshine.

This building seems to be newly renovated with bright rooms and modern bathrooms. The breakfast was not great but better than nothing considering it was included and very convenient. Probably not ok for people with food allergies, because the buffet had foods mixed in the various bins. The bed was firm and comfortable, but we hated the paper-thin pillows. The air conditioner was very noisy, going off and on all night. Occasionally, it made another whiny noise on top of the regular cycling. Sleeping did not go well. The room didn't have a desk to use our laptops. That's unusual these days. Even the lodges in the park had desks.

The staff was great and put out a pre-Halloween basket of candy. We could not have been happier with our two nights at Kelly. Pro Tip Free coffee in the lobby at night

The room was spacious, having a side table for us to spread out. Beds were very comfortable. The restaurant where the breakfast was served was a cozy room with a nice Western vibe. Good country music played in the background. Breakfast was your basic kind of hotel food-I did like the variety of cold items like the yogurt selection and the cereal selection. The lobby served coffee, hot apple cider, and hot cocoa with marshmallows which was nice after our long tour of Yellowstone National Park. The lobby of the hotel was nicely decorated for the Fall with a beautiful Fall themed Christmas Tree. The pool and hot tub were nice and spacious and they had a water slide which was fast, but fun. A plus was it was located in the end of town so it was nice and quiet. Quick 5-7 minute walk to the center of town. Only minor dislikes were the shower where there were no grab bars and that the TV didn't work so well. Someone came in to fix it though. The tub also clogged with water during showers. Would recommend! Thank you for a great stay!

Since we will know, most likely not be back to Yellowstone I will tell you the truth in stating that they are under pricing their rooms at this place . They should be asking $100 more a night. Conservative estimate of everything that I've seen throughout all different hotel states and areas. They need to up their rates because they are actually too low by at least 20 to 40%. When we have breakfast, we watched a head, waiter training, a newer waiter. I was actually watching in a managerial way to see if he was following the correct way to train new employees. He was perfect and followed every single cell. They were polite, respectful, and their jobs extremely well. We really appreciated that Highly recommend

The staff were also extremely friendly and helpful, which added to the overall experience. Another nice touch was the fire pits, which they turned on around 5 p.m. each evening.
