The Rainbow Reef Dive Center was such a great experience! My fiance and I are Open Water Divers and we wanted to dive the Florida Keys on May 2024. We booked the morning and afternoon dive (total of 4 dives/sites) and we enjoyed the experience. The boat and dive guides were very friendly. We checked in then we got our rental gears. Before we left the dock, the dive guides were able to help us set up our gear (we are beginner divers and, sometimes, you just need to double check if your gear is correctly set up). We went to the Eagle Raw Alley, JJ's Cave, Minnow's Cave, and Christ of the Abyss. We saw a lot of creatures like lobster, hammer head shark, nurse shark, different fishes, stingray, crab, Christ of the Abyss, parrot fish, and tube sponge. Highly recommend this location for your next dive!

Great diving for the price. Good value. Boats are large with lots of space for gear stowage. They allowed us to bring our own small cooler for snacks and drinks. Mix of divers and snorkelers on the shallow reef dives, but divers are led by competent guides. Key Largo Reefs are in great shape. Reef shark, Eagle Ray, reef fish, coral is healthy compared to other sites in FL. Diver Dina (The Diva) was our guide. Make sure you blow out your reg dust cap with the leftover tank pressure, she loves that noise.

This was my 3rd time diving with Rainbow Reef. This time I departed at the location where Sharkey's is. We did an afternoon dive. Check in was very easy. Bathrooms were available. They were not very good about giving instructions after you check in. Everyone was confused. It is a bunch of kids running things basically. They all seemed a bit annoyed. However our dive guide Daniel was very nice and an excellent guide! He found lots of critters for us and moved slow enough for me to take good photos. Another positive, they have reef safe sunscreen available for use on the boat.

Rainbow Reef Dive Center did a fantastic job with our 10 year old daughter's Jr Open Water dive training last week!!!! Pete & Grace were absolutely amazing at training our little girl while keeping her safe and making it fun all at the same time. The crew of the Tropical Serenity - Capt Rae, Elliott (saved the day helping me with a quick gear repair), Payton & Hailey were so awesome with our kids and making our dive perfect.

Great staff great dive locations. The prices for a guided tour are competitive with unguided tours. Went with two different companies while on a trip to the Keys. Rainbow Reef Dive was the better of the two. Better pre dive brief and boarding. Gear for rent and 2 tanks are provided. Will dive with them again.

I was genuinely worried that once we got in the water, I wouldn't be able to do it. From the moment we arrived at Sailfish Scuba, we were welcomed like old friends. The boat ride out was enjoyable, and the entire crew--from the dive guides to the captain--was incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and reassuring. My companion has more than 50 dives under his belt, so he gave T, the owner, a heads-up that this was my first dive and that I was pretty nervous. T got in the water with me and stayed by my side throughout our descent. When I started to feel that familiar panic setting in, he calmly kept me moving down while continuously checking on me and making sure I was okay. I'm so grateful he did. If I had been left to descend on my own, I honestly think I would have surfaced several times and possibly not completed the dive at all. Having T right there gave me the confidence I needed to push through that initial fear. Once I was down, everything changed. I became much more comfortable, and by the next three dives, I was able to descend completely on my own. My companion, who is an experienced diver, said Sailfish Scuba is one of the best dive companies he has ever been with--and after my experience, I completely understand why. The professionalism, knowledge, and genuine care this crew showed made such a huge difference for me as a new diver. I went from being terrified that I wouldn't be able to do the dive to finishing it feeling excited and confident about getting back in the water. We would absolutely recommend Sailfish Scuba to anyone, especially newer divers who may be feeling nervous or unsure of themselves. We can't wait to come back and dive with them again!

The entire team was welcoming, professional, patient, and truly cared about my success and safety. From the very first day, I felt like I was part of the family. A very special thank you to Michaela. She went above and beyond in every possible way. She helped me find a hotel, recommended great restaurants, gave me directions, answered all of my questions, and even helped me find childcare so I could focus on my training. She also personally helped care for my child during part of my three-day course, which meant the world to me. As a parent, that kind of kindness and support is something I'll never forget. Her generosity, compassion, and genuine heart made this experience so much easier and more enjoyable. My instructor, Tarek Salem, was exceptional. He is patient, calm, knowledgeable, and an excellent teacher. He explained every skill thoroughly, made sure I understood everything before each dive, and gave me the confidence I needed to succeed. I always felt safe and well taken care of. I also want to thank Elara Moultrie. She was friendly, patient, encouraging, and always focused on everyone's safety. Her positive attitude made every dive fun and helped create such a welcoming environment. This wasn't just a place to earn certifications--it was a place where people truly care about their students. I left with my Advanced Open Water and Nitrox certifications, wonderful memories, and friends I'll never forget. If you're looking for a dive center with outstanding instructors and people who genuinely care about you both in and out of the water, I highly recommend this team. I'll definitely be back for more training and more dives. Thank you all for making this an unforgettable experience!

The equipment was clean and in excellent condition, the boats were newer and very well maintained, and the entire facility was spotless. They even have great air conditioning, clean changing rooms, and outdoor showers to rinse off after your trip. They also don't fill their boats to capacity, which makes for a much more comfortable and enjoyable experience. They also provided refreshments on board, including chips, water, and soft drinks, which was a nice touch. The crews--Captain Aaron and Ashlynn on our first trip and Captain Brad and Ashlynn on our second--were outstanding. They were funny, professional, and went above and beyond to make sure everyone felt comfortable and safe. The snorkeling itself was incredible. One of the highlights was the Christ of the Abyss snorkel, which was absolutely unforgettable. As a Christian, seeing the Christ statue underwater brought me back to where it all began. To think that Christ made everything around you and all the creatures is truly a tribute. We saw colorful tropical fish, a stingray, moray eel, and even sea turtles. Rent the GoPro--you won't regret it. We were amazed at how much wildlife we captured on video that we completely missed while we were in the water. It was such an amazing experience that we booked a second trip before leaving. I honestly have no negatives. If we're ever back in the Keys, Silent World will be our first stop. I'm already planning to bring my kids here in the future. Highly recommended!!!

Brad took us to two locations that were perfect for both snorkeling and diving. The first was a reef where we were able to get up close to the reef right at the surface of the water. The 2nd was a large ship wreck that you can see in the pictures attached to this review. Brad also made sure that my brother was given good directions as it was his first time ever snorkeling. He also made the waiting on the boat enjoyable while we waited for the divers to get settled in luring fish back to the boat where we even saw a barracuda chase a yellow fin snapper right out of the water (picture attached). Brad also took us to sites where we were the only snorklers which made the trip even better! I appreciated the view without all of the other snorkler fins in the way. The shop had lots of masks, snorkels, and fins to borrow and made the process of getting on and off the boat very streamline. There is another large snorkeling company in the same shopping strip, so just make sure you are going to the correct door. The other company was very friendly and guided us to the correct location upon arrival. There was ample parking when we arrived, but I imagine when the other company has lots of customers, the parking could get crowded. The parking is also on shells and not paved.
