Get thine hiny to Hidden Gardens ASAP. Parking isn't obvious so here's the deal: pull into the Coleman Real Estate driveway and you'll see the parking lot actually wraps around the back of those buildings and you can enter Hidden Gardens from there. It literally feels like you walked into a secret garden. Stone pathways lead you throughout the space and you really get a feel for what these plants look like in a natural setting instead of lined up like 100's of soldiers on store shelves. They have a good variety of annuals, hanging baskets, feature flowering plants like peonies and roses, veggies, herbs and more. Their prices are very good and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I went in looking for a rose bush but admittedly I know nothing about roses. The gentleman working gave me a quick, concise tutorial and helped us pick out the best plant from his offerings. What I appreciated most was his realistic sales approach....as in he didn't try to sell us the plant, he just guided us and left the decision of whether to purchase there or not up to us. Bonus: they have a great old wooden birdcage with real birds!

The guy was grumpy, refused to make a delivery without an escort to our house despite saying he knew where to find it, and said "look woman" to my mother-in-law when she tried to give him directions. An hour later, he's at my house with his dump truck making an 85 point turn on my driveway. When I went outside to show him where to dump the loam, he angrily ranted about how he couldn't dump it in the grass. He was pissing me off so I just told him to leave. We called Candigit in Swansea the next day and they delivered the loam with no issue and dumped it in the same place that the old man from Souza's refused.

I got a 13 pound and a 21 pound turkey (one to smoke, one traditionally) and they were perfect! However, picking up the turkey was a nightmare!!! I was told to pick it up sometime the Tuesday before T-Day, and being a rookie with this place, assumed I would leave work a little early; swoop in, pick up the birds, get home and start my brine - NOPE! I got to the farm at 5:05, got in line with the other 100+ cars and waited in my truck slightly over 2 hours to get my order. It is a cash business, so you can't pay beforehand which slows down the line. If someone had forewarned me (or the other 100 cars) I could have made better arrangements to pick up the birds on "off hours." The turkey's were fantastic and expensive ($235 for 34 pounds), I just don't know if I can deal with that hectic mess again of picking them up. If the pick up situation was more organized and efficient I would absolutely be back.
