I love the burgers. The burgers are very flavorful. They have a nice char (you know the kind that people that know how to really cook a burger) and great accompaniment (roll, lettuce, onion, pickle spear). I don't know what meat (chuck vs sirloin, etc.) they're using but it's a good grind - not gristly, no chunks of fat, very flavorful, nicely seasoned and you get to choose your choice of doneness. Personally, I'm loving the burger with blue cheese, no tomato but extra pickles. They also have A1 steak sauce which always goes well with blue cheese. You can't go wrong with either fries or onion rings, but I'd suggest getting an onion ring appetizer and fries with the burger. My adult sons are now hooked, so anytime we're nearby we'll be chowing on some great burgers! read more

Rainier Bar & Grill has the most friendly and enjoyable staff. We love to sit at the bar top when we visit, and each time, the bartender has been warm, friendly, and conversational. They make tasty drinks and check in frequently enough that you are never left waiting or wanting something. My fiancé has several severe food allergies and they are so good about his allergies! Sometimes we feel uncertain if we can trust places we have never been, but our server immediately put our minds at ease. She recorded his allergy list and said they have a button in the kitchen for allergies, so they push it and it lights up so the cook staff knows. This is awesome for communication and we felt at ease eating there. We love a good pub, bar, or grill, and the ambiance here fits the bill for being cozy, approachable, warm, clean, and friendly. The perfect combination. I have also come here with my family, and here is all the food I have tried (and I have enjoyed all of it): 1) The sweet potato fries are SO bomb. They are crispy and skinny and packed with flavor, and better than the regular fries in my opinion. Don't forget a dipping sauce! 2) The calamari, clams, and seared ahi. Delicious and fresh, which I am sometimes not sure about when I think small town and a bit further from the water. 3) The burgers and the fish and chips. They come out steaming hot, which I love. This is one of our go to's on the way home from a long day of skiing up at Crystal. The beer is cold and the food is decent! I would suggest getting a burger! They're very thick and juicy! Some of the items are a little overpriced (a lot of the appetizers). I like the garlic fries, but sometimes they add too much garlic and it's overpowering. The chowder is also packed with goodies and is more on the watery side if that's your fancy. Staff is friendly and fast! It's a slight step up from your typical bar food (price sometimes reflects this), but worth it! read more

I have given up trying to determine why so many people think this place is great. Draft selection mostly just rice beer domestic swill. Food is typically in the "OK" range. Never been impress with a meal and the last one they left my bun on the salamander so long the top was closer to a crouton. I understand that everywhere is short staffed but the solution is not having no dedicated bartender and having the servers all make drinks. This is a logistical nightmare and I'm sure why my second beer was never delivered but made it on my bill anyway. I was so ready to leave I didn't even both trying to flag them down and wait for how ever long fixing it would have taken. They better hope the Mint never gets the opportunity to take over their neighboring space and expand or I'd bet that would put them out of business. read more

I had the Kobe beef burger with blue cheese. It was pretty tasty but it was a bit over cooked, definitely not medium, more on the well done spectrum. Service was a little slow but friendly. We went to Crystal Mountain for a day ski trip 2 weeks ago and dropped off our skis at Enumclaw Ski & Mountain Sports. This restaurant was one of the restaurants that the staff recommended. Got one of their cheeseburgers as well as a side of chicken wings. The burgers they serve are huge and for like $14 such a great deal! Chicken wings are also up to par, exactly what you'd expect from good quality wings. They also serve a nice assortment of various local beers as well as their locally brewed Rainier beer. I used to really like this place but the food has really gone down hill. I paid $17 for a piece of salmon that came on a bare plate with nothing to even make it look appealing. Stopped here after hiking and ordered food to go. The wait was pretty long for a patio seat so we ordered food and went to a nearby brewery. We got the burger and fish and chips - so much food! Enumclaw is so underrated and cute! We spent the afternoon walking around shopping in downtown area and found ourselves in line for Rainier Bar & Grill. After a 30 min wait we were seated. Waitress was VERY friendly and attentive. Mad I didn't get her name! We were starving! Ordered clam chowder, fries, large prawn Louie salad and pulled pork tacos. We all loved our meals! Atmosphere is laid back and meals are not overpriced. Love how the Main Street is shut down for small dining and fire pits. Would definitely recommend and come back! read more

Everything was just right, the staff were friendly. We love the outdoor seating in the street that the city has allowed, with the street also closed to traffic, makes for a great atmosphere. Found this place on a whim through a Google Maps search for food along the way on a drive from Mt. Rainier to the Seattle airport. I had low expectations given that it was a desolate location and didn't do much research other than quickly glancing at the menu and seeing a solid rating on Google. We called ahead for a pickup order of a grilled chicken burger with fries and BBQ chicken wrap. We were pleasantly surprised to find a bustling downtown in Enumclaw with a full restaurant! Street parking was close and easy. Both orders were ready to go ASAP when we arrived and service was friendly. I loved both entrees! Huge, delicious portions with thick-cut fries for around $13 each! Ugh! This place drives me nuts. In the past, I tried the Prime Rib special twice and found that I was served a cheap cut of meat. Lot's of connective tissue, so very chewy once you started eating the pink center. That was a few years ago, so maybe the prime rib is better now. I recently went there with my son and we were seated in the very last table back by the kitchen and bathrooms. Not complaining about the seating location. Unfortunately, I could see into the kitchen and watch a young cook eating food with his plastic gloves on. He may have changed them out of my sight line after eating, but I doubt it. You don't have to be a food safety expert to know doing that is a no-no. I ordered the fish and chips and for 16 bucks, I received 3 small pieces of breaded fish. One of the filets was so small, it was like eating battered fish jerky. Server never asked how our food was and I didn't want to bring it up since my son was paying. Disappointing. read more
