Wow!! I mean wow!! 10/10!! I had the truffle mushroom gnocchi and it was the best dish I've ever had. I even said that if I'm ever on death row, this is what I would request. Rolling through Enumclaw yesterday. Reached out to a friend who lives there, asking him what he would recommend. He suggested this place, The Mint. We actually had other restaurants in mind, but decided to try this place since a couple of the other ones were not open yet or food service was not happening. We were seated at a table very quickly, as the place was relatively empty. We were offered water or beverages very quickly. After that, it took a while to get the server to come back and take our order. From a casual observation perspective, there were people working, but did not seem to be proactive with clearing tables, pulling orders from the window and delivering them to tables without somebody else prompting them. Our server, seemed to be doing most everything in the Restaurant. Seemed very inefficient. Once we ordered and got our food, which was the Chicken Caesar salad, sweet potato fries, Carne Asada appetizer tacos. And a local beers, or close enough. Pleasantly pleased with the flavor, portion size, temperature. All good. My rating dropped, as it took a while to get our bill, close things out, as it started to get a little bit busier, and we had to be very proactive to try and get our server, who was running the restaurant, to bring us our bill. read more

Solid 3.5 overall. We like this place but I probably ordered the wrong thing on the menu - the vermicelli bowl with peanut sauce and the nuac Cham sauce. While the salmon BLT and grilled turkey sandwiches were fine, the bowl was not. The nuac Cham sauce had no fish sauce or taste and the peanut sauce did not taste like peanut sauce and was super thick. It was a bit weird with pickles at the bottom. Normally, the dish has jalapeño and the cucumbers are cut in strips v. Slices. The noodles seemed overcooked. The Portions are decent. We give the sandwiches 4 stars but the bowl is a 3 for taste. As I was timing so low, I opted to sit at the bar. I was quickly greeted by Dennis who graciously allowed me to sample the three ciders on tap. When I asked him to pick three of his favorite items on the menu, he mentioned the steak salad, which initially did not catch my eye on the menu. However, that's what I ordered, and it was delicious. A bit heavy on the balsamic dressing, the next time I would ask for this to be on the side. If/when I'm in the area again, I would definitely dine here again. read more

If you need/want anything you're gonna need to go chase your waitress down to get it - that includes water, napkins, the rest of your order, the check, etc. You may or may not get your full order and if you want your salad dressing on the side, that's not going to happen. This is my first time at this restaurant and it was a delight. Our server was fantastic. She had great recommendations and she did not steer us wrong. The poutine is what we started with, the fries were piping hot, the gravy was rich and delicious, and did I mention there was bacon jam in there? Since we had the poutine as an appetizer, we opted to get salads instead of the side fries for our burgers and sandwiches. I have to admit this is one of the most impressive side salads I've ever had. The greens were so fresh! On special they had their homemade clam chowder which checked all the boxes, it had a great balance of meat to potato to herb. I will be dreaming about this for the rest of my life. If you see it on special you need to get it. My group ordered the mushroom burger, the the bacon jamburger, and the French dip which we split three ways. And when I tell you we fought over keeping our own. I am not lying. The burgers were juicy, the toppings were generous and well balanced. The French dip had roast beef that just melted in your mouth. For the first time. I don't think I needed the au jus. One of my party ordered the truffle gnocchi with wild mushrooms. I don't know how, but it was somehow light, not too rich, and the gnocchi soft pillows had the perfect fluffy texture. We did have to take most of our food home because the portions were generous. And somehow the gnocchi reheated. Well. I'm going to call that a miracle. All in all, if you're anywhere near Enumclaw you need to go here. When we first ate here I thought I was just enamored with being back in Washington, since it was our first night in town. Then we went again, and loved it just as much. A year later we still talk about the Reuben Eggrolls and day dream of when we get to go back. (Hence how I finally remembered we never wrote this review!) Both nights our meals were amazing. If you happen to be in for the meatloaf special- run don't walk. Eat the egg rolls. Then order another to go. Drinks were amazing. Selection was amazing. The team were all amazing and made us feel like locals every time we walked in. We still talk about how much it felt like home. The atmosphere was great. While The Mint Restaurant & Alehouse was founded in 1906 and re-opened in 2013, my first visit was today, Wednesday 2 August 2023, so I am a bit of a late comer as a 1990s-born Washingtonian. The street parking around the restaurant was 2 to 3 hour parking and I did not have trouble finding an open spot a couple streets away. A hostess greeted me at my entry and I was served by a friendly waitress. I got a table towards the front of the restaurant to myself, I was a solo diner. After first taking a seat with my back to the window, I repositioned myself choosing a stool facing the entrance of the restaurant. I enjoyed this view as I could see out the front window and watch what was going on in the town of Enumclaw from my field of view. Quiet music played in the background and did not overpower my audial experience. For my food and drink, I got water and the Mint's cheeseburger with fries. The cheeseburger came with a white cheddar cheese I enjoyed. None of the toppings, nor the patty nor the bun were too thick. The burger sauce (a smoky mayo) was subtle, but tastable. The fries were crisp with a warm and fluffy interior. I finished it all in one go and found I was not overly full. read more

Great spot to eat and drink right in DT Enumclaw. Their bagon jam burger and french dip are amazing. My wife enjoyed her chicken strips. One of the 'not just bar food' hidden gems in the area. Beer selection is legit. Service is decent, despite usually being busy, everyone's friendly. Space can be a bit limiyed there, especially out front - where there are eating spots. Last time we went was nightcap after Pablo Francisco at the Chalet Theater. Was an excellent stop over given most places were closed or no longer had an open kitchen that night. It's a long, skinny I-shaped restaurant in an old building. A bit aged but not dirty. Bathrooms are fine. read more

This is a great spot to stop by for a bite after a long day hiking in Mt Rainier. The staff are friendly and helpful to accommodate meals for vegetarian or vegan dietary restrictions. The interior is ~cool~ and rustic vibes. The only con is that it is a bit smoky in the restaurant, which can be difficult for people with asthma or sensitivity. It can a little bit hard of hearing or muffled sounds if you are seated in the very front. But nonetheless it is a great spot to visit and get together a group of 6+ people! I have been putting this review off for some time, but long past are the days when the mint was the staple of Enumclaw for great food. Long past are the days of spectacular happy hour bites paired with high end local taps, now your more likely to see a smoke filled grease trap of a restaurant with overpriced sub par food, albeit good tap selection. We have tried several times to grasp at what used to be a gem of Enumclaw for dining, and it's just not good. Really, it's bad. My friend and I came by for a weekday lunch and it was fairly busy, which we took as a great indicator. The bar area was cool with the skylight bringing in some extra light. It doesn't look big inside, but there is more seating towards the back of the restaurant. Our server was sweet, and the burgers were delicious! Ate here the other night for the second time. The first was a long time ago and I can't remember much about it. This place has a fun atmosphere and the staff are really good. We had a quick dinner before going to comedy across the street. My boyfriend had Buffalo wings and said they were good. I ordered the steak salad and I didn't love it. In fairness though I expected it to taste like my favorite steak salad at another place and it was completely different. So my bad there. Went to the Mint on Dec 1st 2024 an hour before closing. I was with a group of five (6 total). Unfortunately myself and everyone in the group were extremely disappointed with both the service and food. We were seated quickly and then forgotten. When our drink order was taken we also ordered two different appetizers and everyone ordered their main course. The appetizers never came and it took longer than expected for the dinner to arrive. When the food did arrive it was either warm to cold across the group. I was both surprised and disappointed since I've eaten at the Mint a few times. Disappointed since the group we were out with had two out of town guests and I had talked up The Mint. I'll chalk it up to a bad night but next time we'll hit another place like Trappers or Siciliano and just drink at the Mint. Hopefully this is an aberration and not the new norm read more

Friendly waitress who meant well and was attentive. Husband and I ordered the following: 2 double whisky sodas, pretzel app, bruschetta app, house burger, and house pork chop. Our whiskeys came as gin. The bread for the bruschetta was untoasted and stale (should be toasted and with xvoo), it also came with maybe half a ball of buratta and 8 cherry tomato halves. All on the side. This is not bruschetta. The pork that I ordered is a dish I had a few years ago and then it was delicious and smoky. This time around it tasted like a salt lick. I got one bite in. It tasted straight-up cured. No smoky elements detected. Husband got the burger. Cooked to proper temp, but bun not toasted and the beef patty bot seasoned at all. Very bland. Seems like they have some very young staff in back of house. Chef should guide them more. We were so disappointed in the food quality. read more

The worst food I've had in memory. It was so terrible that I felt I needed to download Yelp and leave my first review. The Jambalaya wasn't cooked all the way, after another table sent theirs back they brought ours out to us to see if we wanted it or not. After trying it, We did not. The salmon was absolutely burnt and smelled terrible, the quinoa was crunchy, cold and tasted like licking the inside of the fridge, they wouldn't even discount us for it. The deep fried pickles were over cooked and my French dip was very bland, Arby's would have been better. My dad got a bowl of the soup as his side and they brought it to him twice because they didn't know what was going on. It's actually impressive that out of everything we ordered not a single thing was done right. And after it was all said and done they never came to take our credit card so we could pay because they thought they had already cashed us out. I now know why there was a line at The Rainier across the street and open tables at "The Historically bad Mint". It's clear to me that who ever made our food has no idea what they are serving and isn't tasting anything to ensure quality. The wait staff was friendly but never checked in with us to see how our food was, seems like they knew what the answer was going to be. We attempted to escape the food mediocrity hell of Crystal Mountain by going down the mountain to Enumclaw, but we sadly did not find much better there. The setting is kinda nice--old bar, lots of brick--but the tables/chairs/etc were all cheap-y. There's a nice selection of beers on tap and the muddled G&T was refreshing. Food...not so much. Our kiddo got some unappetizing-looking sliders, and the jalapeño (why??) poutine was drowning in canned gravy, so the vast majority of fries were soggy. The vegan tomato soup was the only item that was passable (side dish of veggies was mostly a pile of mush). Our waitress was sweet but flighty and not on top of our table. Overall, on par with what you get up mountain, just sliiiightly less expensive. Would not recommend. read more
