I am the president of Bel-Aire subdivision. We have been working with Rainmaker and need some answers. I have left messages and no one returns my call. Rainmaker is suppose to have sent us a written audit report of our irrigation systems and also a quote for additional work needed ASAP. This has been going on for close to a month and we can not get a response. We are still waiting for answers Update: the owner of Rainmaker called me this afternoons regarding the problems We are having with our irrigation system. We moved into a house that had an irrigation system. We never had one before, so the Rainmaker tech came out to check the system & give us an overview. They tested the system and said one of the zones on the controller wasn't getting electrical current and we needed a new controller. (It was working the last time we used it.) They replaced the controller, checked the system, and showed us where the shut off valve was. A few days later, a sprinkler was leaking. When I turned off the shutoff valve it turned off the water to the whole house. I called to see if they could talk me through shutting the leaking system off over phone. They said they no, but could do a service call in a week for $155 -- before repairs. I called another company, they came out same day, found the irrigation shut off valve and repaired the leak. read more

Think twice before you hire Rainmaker. I had a horrible experience. It seems that this company is out just for the money it can make & not bothered with customer care/service. I hired them for some sprinkler work (paid over $400) and had to call back because one of the above-ground sprinklers wasn't working. The tech didn't find any issue and the sprinkler turned on with the first try (maybe a squirrel jumped on it and knocked it back into working mode -- I just don't know). Rather than counting is as standing behind their service and part of customer care, Rainmaker charged me an additional $170 for the tech's visit (the same they charge for a whole system assessment). No doubt, Rainmaker would have found any excuse to charge me for the follow on visit: charge if system works for the tech because customer shouldn't have asked for a follow up (although the system hadn't worked for them); charge if system doesn't work by "finding" an after-service issue. read more

On June 10th 2024 we requested a service call. On June 19th the technician came by and we paid $150.00 for the service call. The guy came by and looked at our 2HP sprinkler pump, and said we needed a commercial pump. He left after less than 10 minutes. We were told he would send us an estimate for the repair. a week went by, no estimate, so we called to inquire about the estimate. We were told estimates are done at the end of day. Two weeks have passed and guess what? No estimate I feel we should be issued a refund for the $150.00 for this useless service call.. read more

I am extremely disappointed with this company. They were extremely nice when I purchased the system. However, a year later the service was terrible, I assume because I would not purchase their maintenance package. When I told the technician I wasn't interested in paying them $300+ annually for them to come turn the system on in Spring and off in Winter, he didn't fully turn on the system even though I paid the $150. Until this year, I would have given them 5 stars. We have been annual renewal customers for 12+ years and completely satisfied but this year we had the worst customer service experience from any company we've worked with in several years. Either the management at Rainmaker has too many customers or their staff is powerless to make the customer happy. Regardless, I would no longer recommend them. Took over a week to get someone to come out and inspect my irrigation system. Then after countless texts and calls, over a week to get a actual estimate only after I called to inquire and complain to the office manager. Quote was wrong and then promised an update which never came. Too many red flags here and went with another contractor. Can't imagine if I actually had a real problem and had to deal with these guys. Since 09/10/2020, I have sent the owner two text messages, and I have likewise left two voice messages on Rainmaker's business phone. During this time, I received no response. Then, I posted an unfavorable review yesterday morning (09/29/2020), and the owner replied today. I find it ironic and sad that Mr. Nettles pays more attention to reviews than customers' phone and text messages. Better communication would have prevented such a poor review. read more

All I can say is please make sure you check throughly inspect any work they do . I feel that I was stolen from because they took my money and didn't fix the problem . They turned my system off after the repair because they said it was winter and the part they replaced needed time for the sealant to dry before I should use it. When I turned on my system for the first time this year to use it the same area is leaking. I will let karma take care of this one . You guys sure can lie . Your company has been to my house on 5 different occasions and have fixed parts in the front and back of my home and it has never worked right . I did not demand your workers leave my property. Started using Rainmaker Irrigation when I moved into my house two years ago to start and stop sprinkler system in the fall and spring. I have never been able to get a live person to answer their phone. They dictate to me when they can come out which I dealt with because it was standard service. Then I had an issue with my system a few weeks ago and needed urgent attention. They were to get me a quote over a period of three weeks which never occurred. Kept being told I would get a call. They knew I needed urgent service. After over one week of emailing and calling - again not receiving a live person - I requested to speak to one of the owners. I had to ask several times and finally was told my message was relayed to an owner. I was never contacted by an owner nor at any point apologized to in the process. I called another irrigation company today after the three weeks of frustration and they came out and worked on my issue same day. Needless to say I will not use rainmaker again. read more

Asked for a quote from this business for an irrigation system. The technician was prompt in coming out to review my yard. After 2 business days, I called the company as I had not received a quote. I was told they generally take 3-5 business days. After 6 business days, I followed back up mid-day and was told the quote was complete and sitting on manager's desk for approval. No response that day and I followed back up late afternoon on the 7th business day. This time I received a thorough quote. The next day I called the office with a number of questions and was given the technician's cell phone number. I immediately called him and to this day (a week later), I have not received a call back. Too much trouble. If a company is this unresponsive pre-sale, what would they be like post-sale! I decided to go with a competitor. read more

I have had rainmaker irrigation system since Sept.2018. They have been out twice because of 2 different water leaks. OF course, it take 3 weeks to come and fix the problem, meanwhile, I have to go out and shut the water off and then turn it back on when its time for the grass to be watered. The install crew was both the fastest and cleanest group of guys I've ever had do work at my house. When you call in to the office you will likely speak to the office manager Susan who is very kind and handles any issues without hesitation. First Daniel Betts has been completely professional and even making multiple trips after the work was done. I had an appointment for 1pm Thursday April 9th made weeks in advance for an irrigation sprinkler system, the day that the technician Daniel was to show up he called me and said, " I'll be there in 45min". My response, " our appointment was for 1pm!" His response we usually give round about times? I was totally uniformed because I set an appointment over the phone for 1pm and that was the time I expected them to be here. This phone call was at 1:15pm. to me as a business owner I think that customer service is first because this can be the difference between getting the job or not. Long story short this company has bad representation giving estimates for jobs. Daniel didn't care if I cancelled the appointment or not. I said "my appointment was for 1pm, he said " ill be there in 45min. "I said in that case come whenever you like and his response was I can just cancel your appointment? At that moment is when I realize I don't want their services. He didn't care about me as the consumer or the fact that the job he could have potentially had was estimated by three other contractors between $3,000 -5,000. Their loss not mine, its a good thing when people show you there true colors before the work ever starts, that way I get to avoid all the heart ache and pain that comes with their service. read more

The company service is fantastic! Extremely professional, very knowledgeable once an actual "pro" gets out to you.The problem with them is getting past the Doberman named Susan answering the phone. Whew, get ready to brew a cup of coffee while you wait for her nasty, rude, unprofessional sarcasm to pass before you can get to the root of what you need.She cuts you off mid sentence, rudely pretends to be a mind reader and jumps in to finish what YOU'RE trying to get out.She doesn't LISTEN, she takes a teaspoon here and a pinch there of what you're saying and cobbles together her own conclusion of what she THINKS you COULD maybe mean. More valuable time is then wasted while she licks her bruised ego and ALLOWS you to start again. Yep, you guessed it, when you repeat your needs, she cuts you off again, and will get a 12 yr old's attitude and give a sarcastic remark with that thick southern twang. Ask for Jess. He's awesome, very kind, patient, and honestly cares about making the customer happy, and getting them taken care of. My system runs great, never had a problem with it. read more
