I never write reviews but I am now, I broke my wrist in April, never had a broken bone before, 3 surgeries later, still not healed, because I wasn't heard when i kept repeating something is wrong, only when i suggested an mri and that the dr stop for a minute and examine was i heard 4 months in at this point, but even before then, I kept saying something isnt right with the thumb then discovered tendon ruptured, surgery for that but still side of wrist off, really painful, so hence finally heard, mri, bone was healing incorrectly, had to rebreak, repair tendon sheath, etc. and i went to post op visit, waited for one hour and 10 min, no dr seen and noone checking on me, i abruptly left, so now post op visit 2 months out and wrist still not right, cant change drs now because of ins. it is unacceptable, and Im not a go to dr person at all, nothing overly expected except for proper care, proper listening , thats all, I was a person that worked out, active and this has been awful, I feel this is a place that they want to see as many folks a day as possible, even if it means they lose a few, i feel cheated for sure. read more

years and years I was dealing with Raleigh orthopedic clinic ..all great doctors ..no one ever push u to do surgery...I was treated there for knees..at first they wanted me to wait for my knees surgeries ..I waited almost 9 years then it's done ..after that both hands ..done by DR.TUTLE ..he is great ..last month I insist to do revised knee replacement ..DR. VAUGHN BRADLY ..INSIST THEY ARE FINE SHOULD LAST FOR EVER..MORE EXRAYS ..DONE ..IT WAS THE HIPS NOT KNEES ....I WAITED YEARS AS BEEN ADVISED ..LAST MONTH I INSIST TO DO THE HIP SURGERY ..(HONESTLY I WAS THINKING THEN ITS THE KNEE ) till dr Vaughn did my hip ..he was right all went great ..I'm stubborn some time don't follow instructions ..all feel great even I did not went physical therapy ...last week for the third time referral again ..to do physical therapy ..finally I sqeduale my first appointment with Raleigh ortho rehab nov 4 th ...Raleigh ortho team are great ..u won't find better in Raleigh ..even I have ostrio...I'm doing great ..thanks to all the team there ..liz dr Vaughn PA assistance IS VERY KNOLRGEBABLE AND SWEET ..GOD BLESS read more

This review is for Raleigh Orthopedics ' Physical Therapy clinic . At one time I thought their PT Clinic was well run as long as Linda was there as the head therapist . Since she has left I've experienced a decline in the quality of care . Previously the therapists saw you as THEIR patient who they had a duty to see through your program to success..(I often need PT because of a recurrent health issue that occurs in different joints .) The last therapist I saw had the personality of a doorknob .I think he would only be happy taking care of patients who were his peers.This became so obvious I stopped going .I know a very good Therapist who recently returned to thus area .I initially stated with ROC PT for continuity of care but that is only worthwhile if One is GETTING good care .Switching to his practice will be a pleasure because I know he is dedicated to his patients . read more

I have nothing but praise for Dr. Robert Wyker and Raleigh Orthopedic Clinic. He's replaced a shoulder and both knees for me with great results each time. Raleigh Ortho was recommended by my internist, who had had personal experience with them. Dr Wyker and his PA Steve are a great team---they've worked together for at least 15 years to my personal knowledge. That says something for both of them and Raleigh Ortho. The last time, I had a knee replacement and left the hospital needing only a cane most of the time. I LOVE Dr. Wyker. I've also seen their hand specialist for arthritis in my thumbs and had a good result. I've joked that they have a specialist for every joint. Each time I've needed a service, their specialists have been great. They are convenient to me and good about getting a pretty prompt appointment. The only provider I've seen there that I did not like was the podiatrist. Had nothing to do with his skill, but he just did not give me the good feeling I had from the others I've seen. I did not use their PT department, preferring one closer to my home. read more

Highly do not recommend, had a morning appointment only to be told upon arrival my appointment was canceled. When I asked why I was not notified, the receptionist stated, "Well let's not assume." She told me I was called about the cancellation but I was never called, texted, or emailed that my appointment was canceled. It was not only a frustrating morning after taking off of work but office staff was just rude and made the experience more aggravating. read more

Wow! Based on the other reviews this cannot be the same place I go. I have been to three different doctors at Raleigh Orthopedic for four totally different problems, including 3 surgeries. Excellent care and completely resolved. All staff/doctors friendly, professional, knowledgable in all the offices I have used... Edwards Mill, Garner and Cary. The only think I have about this... good doctors are in demand. And these doctors are great. So if there is a day the office gets behind, I am willing to wait for the best care I can find. FYI... I was in the Garner office today for a new issue and did not even have time to check my phone for email before I was called in. The older I get, the happier I am to have Raleigh Ortho to keep me going! (BTW... do you think a Pro hockey team like the Hurricanes wouldn't pick the best???) read more

This review is a year late. Felt I needed to write it after seeing other reviews here regarding front desk. Dr was nice and helped me. But front desk was rude on my second visit in summer of 2020 and on my first visit a bit condescending. I thought perhaps they were having a bad day at first. I was self pay. As such a $100 was required from me before even filling out my questionnaire. Second visit I told them at check out time Dr had said I owed nothing in addition to my up front pay of $100. She said that couldn't be right he had gotten price on an injection. I told her he found out it had a new price of upwards of $2000 for it. It had only been around $700 a couple of weeks prior. Therefore had decided against injection. She immediately picked up phone. And as if I had lied said, "Did Ms Arnold get injection she was given estimate for?" Mostly Drs ofc don't let that effect my care. Occasionally I have had to stand up for myself at Raleigh Orthopaedic to get real care instead of receiving drugs to knock me on my butt.. Ex. In 2014 When I needed an MRI on my back to find problem so I could have it corrected. Or know where I needed epidurals given. I could not spend my life lying around too drugged to function. It took as many as 6 or more visits to Raleigh Orthopaedic at different R/O offices to convince Dr of this. Always same Dr or his PA. Was told I could not refuse to see same Dr. which I tried. I always paid up front when necessary. Thankfully I have always paid my Dr bills with the Good Lord's help. I now have insurance. Back at Raleigh Orthopaedic for a couple different issues. Garner's front desk is still barely polite. read more

I did have to wait too long, but I was lucky to get in at all before my vacation. Doctor chiavetta is well worth the wait. I have been a patient of three other doctors at Raleigh orthopedic and would never consider going anywhere else. read more

I am not one to post bad reviews, but after my experience this morning, I am forced to do so. I injured my leg earlier this week. I went on the website for this clinic and filled out a patient portal. I then called at 8am and waited on line for over 20 minutes to speak to a person. that person directed me to go to the urgent care clinic at this location in Garner, based on what I told her my injury and issues are. When I arrived, I was greeted poorly, and the first thing they wanted to know was my insurance. (not my injury, or reason for visit, or name). however, once i told them i had filled out a patient portal - that seemed as if it was not important, and thus I had wasted all effort in doing so. then i find out they have no one at this clinic that can address my issue, and the receptionists - of which there are 2 - were not kind or caring at all about it. "I don't know why they told you that!". I immediately walked out. this is not a place i want to spend time or my money, or invest my care with. Life is too short. read more

This is a terrible place. After an MRI my husband couldn't get an answer on the results. First he was told the doctor was on vacation. after many calls- months went by without an answer. he went back to the same place (yes! I couldn't believe it either!!) Had another MRI - this time it has been a month and so far no one called him to schedule his surgery... DO NOT RECOMMEND this type of patient no service! read more

Absolute worst physician's office I have ever been to ever, do not go here!!! These people are not only rude, but disgustingly blatant and in-your-face about it..they do not even PRETEND to care about you, and make it known every step of the way. Appalled they get referrals from Rex hospital ER..absolutely appalled, because they do not have to WORK for patients..and it shows. If Rex tells you to go here, do no listen, go somewhere else..there is zero benefit to going to who they tell you to. I was harassed every step of the way, from the the front desk lady to Dr Wein himself. not having my X-rays with me..um..Rex ER never offered to me, plus you are the ortho they referred me to, why don't you have access to them? And really..who the heck thinks to ask for X-rays when leaving an ER anyway..really? I'm sorry I haven't broken enough bones to know this is protocol.. They made me drive 30 minutes to Garner to go see "Dr Wein," (when the Raleigh location is practically in walking distance) and made me take a complete new set of X-rays (since I didn't bring mine from the ER). Dr Wein's expert advice when I described the pain in my wrist.."just deal with it." He didn't want to be bothered with my questions (much less acknowledge my concerns)..and swiftly handed me the billing sheet and said "take it to the front"..no goodbye, take care, come back and see me's..nothing. "Take it the front." That's what he said. I won't get started on the lady at the front desk...let's just say it must be part of her position to be condescending and vile. read more

Money Factory! They may have some good knee surgeons but if anything is wrong or different there is no individual care. I could not get an appointment at their on site urgent care center. I was on hold from 8:00 until 8:40 am.-- then I hung up. When I did get someone on the nurses line I was told my doctor is on vacation this week and his PA is too busy! An assistant to the assistant is suppose to call me within two hours. My post op appt. is on Thursday and they want me to wait until Thursday to see any one. I went to the hospital emergency room for swelling and pain on Sunday-- I am calling them Monday morning--I can't do my physical therapy, but am told to wait to Thursday. I would not give them one star. read more
