Frustrated and out of options, I was on my way to a shop to ship my computer off for two months--already resigned to buying a temporary PC in the meantime. Then, I decided to stop by Undead electronics on the way, and everything changed. Not only could they fix my motherboard, but they evaluated it immediately and told me on the spot whether it was repairable. They even had it ready the same day! I wish I had found this place sooner. The customer service while busy was quick and very friendly. The fact that this was the only place in Raleigh that I could find to solder my battery pin back to the motherboard was surprising, but I am incredibly thankful for their expertise and efficiency. A friend recommended Batteries Plus on Atlantic Ave, so before I ventured to the dealership and paying the premium prices they charge for everything, I decided to give them a try. They told me after examining the key fob, that the circuit board was the problem, and that it was going to malfunction and drain any battery I tried to put in. It was time to replace the key fob. Batteries Plus was able to offer me a significant savings and were able to order the fob from a nearby location, cut me a new key and reprogram it, and I was back on the road!!
