On the phone, he was extremely detailed about the fix and the replacement parts as he could tell that I had done my research before looking around. Once I was in the store, he quickly got started and was more than happy to answer each and every question I had, which means LOTS of them given that I'm an IT guy. I might also add that he did so with ease, showing that this is no pop-up shop looking to turn a quick buck on a fad. While I was sitting in the waiting area, I got the distinct impression that he would've made me feel just as comfortable quietly reading the book I brought as I did chatting with him. I was recommended to this place by my employer. This place is the best and I have been to other places. He knows exactly what he is doing and will explain everything to you before he does the work; will even tell you if it is worth having the work done. I took my IPhone 6Plus there the other day and it would not charge. He called me to let me know it was the charger and that nothing else was wrong with it. He did not even charge me anything and is so honest and really cares about the work he does. I have been places that will glue items back together instead of fixing it; which happened once before. I came in with the Moto X Pure with broken glass with the idea to sell this phone to the repair shop. They quoted a very good price, but after Bobby fixed my phone I wanted it back - so I just paid fair price for the repair and got my awesome phone back. 2 days later, after the repair was done, I had to come back, because the back cover was peeling off. Bobby really took his time to do it right: he didn't just pour glue allover the place (which could've made the phone unfixable later), he did it right: put adhesive strips in all the right places and my phone is almost like new now! I went to the Raleigh Sonic Device Repair in Raleigh on Gleenwood this morning. Jeremy Mayes, the store manager helped me, taking all the time I needed. When I thought the problem was the battery, it turned out when he checked it, that it was not the problem my phone was dead. Much to my surprise it was the cable charger. Now he could have given me a new battery, but was honest enough just to give me a new charger, which was less money. Bobby helped me so much with fixing my laptop! After I ruined the keyboard by trying to fix it myself, he managed to install a new keyboard for a reasonable price and then shipped the laptop to me. Once I got it, the hard drive started acting up and he talked with me for days over the phone to solve the issue, even making a Youtube video with instructions so I could fix it myself! I found Digital Solutions when I needed to get away from a cell phone plan. I took the phone to them, and they had it reprogrammed and ready to go in a hour. We thereafter bought two cell phones from them and will buy more. Stephen and Bobby are very knowledgable, open to learning about new gear, educating those who don't know, and right down great when it comes to today's Apple, Android, cable and other digital platform technology. Digital Solutions is AMAZING! I dropped my phone in water the night before. I immediately took my phone apart and put it in a bag of rice to absorb the moisture. In the process I ripped my battery cord from my phone. I took it to Digital Solutions the next day and they not only replaced my battery but also fixed my phone completely! I'd rate them a 6 if it was possible! This is the ONLY place you need to go to get honest, knowledgeable, and fully competent work. I took them a Galaxy S5 that my son had "customized" and was stuck in a boot loop, and was totally useless. They skillfully figured out the problem, reloaded the correct Verizon Software on it, and called me back in about a day to come and pick it up. My iPad Pro lightening port wouldn't accept the charge cord any more. I called Bobby at Sonic and he said to bring it by, no appointment necessary. I took it in and he looked it over and used some of his specialized tools to work on it for a while. Eventually a piece of the charge cord fell out of the port. Problem solved! I went to Digital Solutions to get my iphone 6 charger port replaced since I was having lots of problems charging my phone. Bobby looked at it, and said I didn't need to replace it. It just had bits of junk or lint jammed in it. He took a few minutes, cleaned it out, didn't charge me anything. Some other place probably would have charged me $40-50 to replace the charging port when it wasn't necessary. Great honest business! read more

I had a Mac that would not start, so I took it to Sonic device repair; Bobby's initial diagnosis was that the O/S needed to be re-installed. He tried this, found that there were technical issues doing this, and he figured that the hard drive needed to be changed.
