My daughter and I stopped by the Walmart on Kester Mill last week and she wanted to look at the phone cases in a shop called "ifixandrepair". It is in the front of the store, I think maybe where the nail place used to be. Anyway, my daughter found a phone case she liked and the owner said it was magnetic which she needed because of a new charger she had gotten for her birthday. And before I knew it he was taking her screen saver off and getting ready to apply a new one all to the tune of $48.15. When we got home last night we found out the case was not magnetic and would not work with her new charger. So today we went back and wanted our money back for the phone case. Turns out he will not give you the money back-he will only exchange for another case even though he had told us the first case was magnetic and it wasn't. He had also told us yesterday he would only charge us $15 for the screen protector and he charged us $20. So we got the new phone case, not very happy with the situation, and left the store. When we got to the car, there was a choice of arabic languages to choose from and the time on the Lock Screen showed 2 different times in two different colors. One time was in Arabic and the other in English but it showed the wrong time and was not moving. He had done something to her phone. It took over an hour on the phone with Apple support to fix her phone and I had to get transferred to a second person because the first person could not figure out what he had done. Super friendly workers but service quality is terrible! I came here for a cracked front camera and a cracked screen immediately after repair I noticed my front camera still have damage to it (as seen in photo) decided to ignore because I couldn't afford another replacement but about a week later the screen itself that they installed had slits in it?? And about a week after that my phone now has issues with it, it randomly shuts downs and sometimes the screen randomly goes black. The service was only around $100 so yes it is cheaper than others but it ruined my phone please spend the extra $50 to go to a better quality place I now have to buy an entire new phone! read more

The Truth About I Fix And Repair First off, Ifixandrepair will tell you that their parts come from "corporate" when in reality they go to eBay search for your part click "us only" and then add 65$-70$ to the total for "labor" which is why they have to have your card processed for your special order at the time of order and why it may take 7-10 days for your part to come in. and so the ebay seller gets paid. Second of all, If you have a sleep and wake button issue on the iphone5, apple has announced that it will repair the button for free. sure you have to go to the apple store in Raleigh but ifix will charge you 40-50$ to replace it and it wouldn't cost you that much in gas to drive up there. Third of all, they say that they are "state certified technicians" thats a lie. when working on a phone the "state certified techs" just watch a video on youtube to figure out how to fix your device. there is zero training provided to each employee they just have to figure it out on their own. Finally, They will tell you that they give a 60 day warranty on parts and labor which is true however they are so un-experienced that they dont know how to check for water damage in your phone until they open it up and once they find water damage it voids the warranty on the screen. .they do the repair anyway and then tell u that its void when you come to pick it up. if i had a dollar for every time that happened to a customer i would have several hundred dollars. read more

Was really impressed!!! My phone was jacked!!! Bent frame, cracked screen, and the touch screen only worked 1% of the time. I paid to fix the screen, but it didn't fix the touch screen, so he kept my phone for the weekend, swapped out the frame, a new display and a new screen!!! When others would have told me that the screen was fixed, and that was what I paid for! He went far beyond! Long story short, my touch screen didn't get "fixed" it was fixed good enough to carrier would warranty it because nothing was physically wrong with the phone!! Beware!!! This franchise advertises as having technical proficiency and no worry customer service. So I took my Ipad 2 in on 10/22/14 for a screen repair. While they were at it I had them replace the battery ( I supplied ) at a total cost of $150. Not cheap. On pickup later that day the repair looked OK and they asked me to check my internet which in hindsight makes me believe they knew they had possibly messed up something. No WiFi available on site but my 3G worked, so I said OK. On my return home I found I could not connect to my WiFi so I returned to the store the next day and they replaced my Wifi antenna with one they cannibalized from another customers unit. I am an airline pilot and my Ipad is an important work tool. All during the next week my "repaired" Ipad kept shutting down constantly without warning. So on my return home I again returned to the store. They did fix the shutdown issue but on returning the Ipad to me I found that now neither the 3G nor the wireless was working, so I had no access to the internet. Again! I returned to the store and they said they were waiting on the part from before. A whole week had gone by. I went to the store on Sunday the 28th at their supposed opening time of 12pm and the place was dark. I waited for some time but finally gave up and went home. I called later in the day and got the owner Hasan. As a side note he already had apologized to me for one employee not showing up to open the store. Not a good sign. Anyway Hasan said he remembered me but said he had no Ipad repairman available plus he needed to get the part. Which leads me to believe he had forgotten to order it the previous week. Fortunately, I had downloaded most of the important things I needed when the 3G had worked. I returned a week later on 10/4/14 expecting him to make it right. Hasan the owner was there and says he still has no part. Its been two weeks on the Wifi and one on the 3G. I explained to the owner that I had been reasonable in allowing him sufficient time to get parts and that I would like a refund so I could go to the Apple store to undo the mess his tech had created at my expense. He absolutely refused and said it was my problem if I needed my Ipad for work and that he would eventually get it right, but in his own sweet time. Really! They advertise same day service and I had told them when I brought it in of my job and time constraint. That if there was any doubt about fixing it to tell me then. But they were only to happy to take my money. While I am in there asking for a refund, the owner is there telling another woman she has to pay him for work on a phone she swears they damaged doing the repair. Seeing this I realized what kind of a person he is and the kind of operation he runs. This will be one of those places that does not last long and will disappear overnight leaving many holding the bag. Stay away from these people at all cost. They replaced a screen on her iPhone 6s and without my permission, replaced the home button. After paying $175 arguing with then about why they went into this degree of repair, I begrudgingly paid for the repair. Shortly afterwards, I noticed the LTE signal dropping regularly. When I came back in to their store, they told me I would just needed to go to Apple to get the repair. When i went to the Apple store in Crabtree Mall, the immediate could see that a repair was attempted by an unauthorized person and said there is nothing they could do. Upon returning to FixIt, they said "no problem...we will put all factory parts back I the phone so that you can take it to Apple for the repair". After trusting these guys one more time, I agreed with their suggestion. Upon returning to the Apple store again, the Genuis baat technician immediately said that since the phone had been tagged as having unauthorized repairs, there is nothing Apple can do. So not only did these guys take my money and refuse to give me a refund for a failed repair job, they invalidated my warranty with Apple and turned my phone into a boat anchor. Took my iPhone 5s in to get the screen replaced, they fixed it within 15 minutes, and then I went to pick it up. It seemed fine so I left the store. While I was on my way home, I realized the touch screen wasn't working. I had to drive all the way back to the store a second time. After that I went home again. Several hours later, I realized they ALSO messed up my rear camera. Had to go back to the store for a THIRD TIME. Did I mention I live 20 mins from this location? They fixed it. This place deserves negative stars. Took my iPhone to have the screen replaced and they did, then but they BROKE my microphone so no one could hear me, you know...kinda the point of a cell phone. Called them back, DROVE back to crabtree and they opened it up again. Had to order the part and said it would be in with in a few days and would call me. Never heard from them. Called back and they were still waiting on parts. Week and half later I go back in and they fix the microphone that they broke ONLY for me to find out the next morning to broke my speaker jack and I could not hear anything when using it with headphones or a headset. I asked for a refund, they stated they do not give refunds. I did not want to take it back to Crabtree for what would now be the fourth time. The lady on the phone also accused me of 'tampering' with the phone as a way to make an excuse for them breaking what was a 100% functioning phone. I did not 'tamper' with this phone at all and tried to use my phone jack as I do every day. I also asked why they broke so many phones (read other reviews) and she said it was a delicate electronic and that other stores often broke iPhones as well. When I was in the store the second time a guy came in with iPad and said he had been there about 4 -5 times already and the screen that was replaced was not working and he kept having to come back there.
