Raley's Town Centre Rohnert Park is an easy place to get a few errands done. There's plenty of parking, the center is usually quite clean, has a few shops for different things, places to grab different kinds of food items so is convenient. It's not a big place or somewhere one would go just to browse for stuff; but a regular neighbourhood shopping center and generally a place for a quick, low-stress shopping trip. read more

I never make a scene when getting ripped-off or being profiled as White Trash in fear of being banned from Raley's addictive Bakery. One time i heard an manager rudely tell someone "this isn't safeway" Yes it is. The courtesy of the managers here is dependent on whether or not things are going well. If they mess up, they are going to swear at you while your back is turned if obvious mistakes are pointed out. Honesty and a simple im sorry is the best way to deescalate a situation. Good selection, clean store, friendly and helpful staff. Prices are about the same as Safeway, but I get a lot of items on sale.

The store seems very understaffed. The deli counter is especially bad in that you can wait 10 minutes before you get help even when it is not busy. They seem to have only 1 person doing all of the deli and kitchen foods work. Checkout lines are longer. The produce is good though. read more

When a store puts in (not enough ) self check stands they should at least make sure they work some of the time. When they DON'T work, which is often there should be someone there to assist you, so you're not standing there with groceries in your hand. 3-4 minutes is too long to wait . When they DO have someone to assist you, they should try to NOT be condescending like Raleys employee Josh. We have been shopping at Raleys for as long as they have been in town. I only go on for the sale prices and don't get much. The reason is, the register is not changed for the sale prices and if you don't watch it, most every time, a person is overcharged. At least I have experienced this practice. Then the clerk will argue with you and most of the time and they don't know what they are talking about. I had been shopping for years at the Raley's Rohnert park store since they opened, and it was great, but it's horrible now. Rude clerks, who act like they hate their job. They put two good yogurt on sale for members @ .77 and charged me 2.19 for them even with the sale paper that says .77 on sale. Then they argued that it was only for the greek yogurt. Not one of the 2 good yogurt flavors on the shelf say greek on it and they only had two flavors Then I was asked if I had been in before to get four. No, was my first trip this week since the sale came out. Then the clerk didn't know how to correct it, and got so frustrated, he had to call the mgr. and the mgr.argued with me. Everyone there is a mgr. I told him to go look on the shelf and tell me where it says greek yogurt only on sale or even where it says greek on the cartons. The real point here is they do not change the register on some sale items. I know because, I only go in for what I need that is on sale. I bring my phone and add up every price. Also, when you weigh your produce and say get one lb of something at 1.97 lb. The register charges 1.99 a lb and you also get charged over a lb on the weigh at the register. I had contacted corporate in the past and they do not care. THE POINT FOR THE REVIEW IS WATCH YOUR RECEIPT and know your prices. Raley's is cheating people every time on their register. There is a Senior complex next store. These people are on fixed incomes and I bet half the time don't look at their receipts. How much money is this store making in register mistakes? This is not suppose to be and has gone on long enough. I am so upset with this store and the dishonest practice, that I will speak to the mgr. tomorrow, I'm told he is not in today. I hardly ever shop at Raley's as each time I do I am completely underwhelmed. Trying to find an item is difficult because the many of the aisles don't seem to be in a logical place. But more than that, it's the quality of food and the prices. I wanted to purchase something from the deli today however none of it looked appealing and the prices were high. If I'm going to spend that much I'll shop at Oliver's where the quality is significantly better (Both Oliver's & Whole Foods carry healthier & tastier brands of deli meat & cheeses). I want to like Raley's and pop in once a year or so, but it just isn't my cup of tea. I do want to note that the cashier was quite friendly. I plan to continue shopping at Oliver's & Trader Joes & when I can afford it, Whole Foods. read more

Good place for getting one's basics taken care of. I come here mostly to go to Raley's but I've also enjoyed shopping at Ross or getting my nails done at Rohnert Park Salon. It's got ample parking, that's for sure, and it's kept clean. I feel safe parking here for both a short or long time. I also love some of the restaurants here. It's also great that it's near the University as it was an easy pitstop to grab something to keep one awake while at night classes. read more

Worse customer service at the pharmacy department! Waited for at least 15 minutes plus! They didn't even acknowledge me or try to make eye contact. Our regular store as I am a previous Raley's employee but I'm having a hard time maintaining my loyalty to the company, at least locally. Many items I regularly use out of stock, produce not fresh, and don't get me started on the cleanliness of the store. The floor in the produce department is old and there is layers of black filth between the tiles. Overall, time to step up your game Raley's, we have other options. read more

The customer service here is dropping to a new low. The checkers are slow, lines are long, and items are not organized in a logical order. A register breaks down and they move to a new station but don't ensure the folks in line get moved in proper order. The new checkers and baggers are flirting and having side conversations instead of making sure customers are taken care of and paying attention to coupons etc. If you're going to charge this much for groceries we want better service and more organization. read more

I've lived at/around/in/near Rohnert Park for about 5+ years now. My first 3 years were typical "dorm student" and I only knew about the immediate shopping areas and chain restaurants that were familiar to me. Compound on top of that, I just moved up from across the state, so I had no close friends or acquaintances. It was all relatively new to me. My friends were the familiar chain stores, the chain restaurants, and anything that I knew would have the same menu or general same store layout consistent across the state. It was a period of adapting, learning, and basically growing accustomed to my new residence. Add in to that the fact that I was unbelievable introverted at the time and had the social skills of a fly that has only been alive for a day - things were interesting. However, I soon began to notice a pattern. There were certain people around the Raley's Towne Center that seemed to be "regulars." Yet they were, by no means, regular at all. Upon encounter after encounter with these individuals, I knew that there was something interesting going on. The first individual - the Tickle Guy, a relatively short, white, blonde/red haired man who always wore a baseball cap would stalk me and catch my eye from far off distances. Upon immediate eye contact, he would storm across whatever area separated us and shout at the top of his lungs that he was going to tickle me. Sufficiently, this weirded me out. He's still around Rohnert Park, to this day, and is somewhat of a legend. He has apparently made it to Sonoma State University and other surrounding areas, leaving a legacy of disturbia in his wake. The second individual - the Good Hair Guy, is a rather tall gentleman - perhaps 6'2 and usually wears all black. He is almost always carrying a suitcase, and sometimes a paper coffee cup. His hair is an amazing tone of silver blended with gray and shocks of black, usually well kept. He reminds me of the Rammstein lead singer in one of their music videos where he had gray hair. The similarities don't stop there, however - he is often screaming or yelling into the air nonsense and obscurities that shock people near him. I've been shocked on more than one occasion, yet he seems harmless and walks with a slow purpose. To the Raley's Towne Center, I owe you a thanks. A thanks to ushering in my arrival to Sonoma County with a familiarity emblazoned upon your various chain stores, as well as allowing me to experience a wide range of unique personalities to help shape my college adolescent years. read more

My daughter, husband, and I go on a lot of walks, and when we are in Safeway we get stared at and never seem to fit in the aisles. At Raley's the atmosphere is much more welcoming. Plus, There is never a long line in Raley's. I especially love how the people who work there are ALL friendly and helpful. They may seem more pricey than safeway, but honestly it just seems like that because they don't have a milion SALE signs everywhere. When Raley's does have sales by the way, they are usually much better than the competitors. I got my favorite veggie pasta for sale at $1.50 a box there. I have NEVER seen it for less than $2.00 anywhere else. Better produce, friendlier staff, and overall cleaner. They have breakfast burrito's that are absolutely amazing! The spinach and cheese one's are delicious, and only $3.99. My absolute favorite quality about Raley's would have to be that they offer you PAPER BAGS. Other places have them, but unless they are Oliver's market or Trader Joes (which are pricier) , they won't OFFER you a paper bag. Help landfills. Yeah tree's are precious, but if it means a plastic bag that will still be around in 500 years versus something I should be replanting, I'd go with the trees. The produce is always fresh, (although a little more expensive than the safeway behind it) they always have a great selection of bread (a must) and a well stocked meat department. Prices are moderate on staple items, which is a plus. Also, they have redbox movies - so that makes me a huge fan! read more

Rotten Managers! I went in about 8:30am. Yes I know the Service Desk doesn't open till 9, but I needed a bus pass and my bus comes at 9. I'd have to sit at the stop another hour! The line clerk who tried to help me was very kind. But when she asked a Manager to help ME, the customer, the manager waved her hand and said: "Sorry, doesn't open till 9:00, besides, I'm on break." The line clerk called another person in charge, and again was told I was out of luck, come back later........Seriously? A 5 minute transaction? No wonder the store was empty of customers! Well, the entire shopping center is fucked. Somehow, the worst drivers in America are ALWAYS navigating through that parking lot. The store itself is pretty pathetic. I like their produce selection (usually fresher than Safeway, although not much variety). The people who work at this store are freaking morons. They don't know the first thing about "real" customer service, and instead come off incredibly condescending and invasive. I always thought it was funny that Raley's and Safeway are back to back (and, once upon a time, Albertson's was across the street from Safeway, making the grocery store trifecta complete). Given those three choices, I'd stick with Safeway. read more

I just purchased theeeeee wooooorst deli sandwich made by theeeeeee moooooooost disinterested deli clerk (taking 9 minutes to make a cold turkey sandwich) who has no business serving the public in any capacity. But my experience with the woman (I believe she's Persian/middle eastern) who seemed like the deli manager was absolutely fantastic. I got the feeling she knows how terrible this clerk is, but can really do nothing about it. Who really wants a job making sandwiches for the hillbillies of SOCO? She knew I was disappointed; she knew I was rushed; she knew I was receiving the shittiest, poorly made sandwich. But, big picture - she gets it - she really gets who a customer is and goes out of her way to somehow bring some magic to the failing experience. If I owned a store of this stature, I'd want her out front, all the time. Raley's has gone out of their way to make the experience in this store extraordinary. The store's new look and feel is outrageous - the music, the lighting, the expansive open space, the cleanliness, and the overall experience is amazing. Unfortunately, Raley's management is bound by the SOCO mediocrity DNA found in most of its natives - and when they're only able to pull from the dregs, my experience today confirms management's reality. Kudos for the Persian deli manager who tried to turn my pathetic experience around. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. read more

I have been to this Raleys for more than 20 years. In the past, the service and lines have been quite good. Lately, the checkout lines are 4-5 deep with only two stations open. This is bad and takes a long time to checkout. By the time I got home some of my frozen foods were starting to defrost. Not only did they not have enough checkers, they had no one to bag the groceries which added to the delay. I'll try it again, but if not better, I guess I'll go to Safeway. Hopefully they get this problem addressed. read more

They claim this store is more directed for elder however every time we go to rohnert park store they never help my elderly mother unload her cart, while I am still shopping she will check out before I would.. The cashier stands there never helps to unload her cart, is what she told me, so a few times I would watch from far.. and yup!!! she was right.. my poor mama... she has medical condition, and she just likes this store, but I'm showing her the light on how they treat her. read more

Now that I've moved out of Rohnert Park into the Rincon Valley area, I find myself heading southward about once a month or so to shop at Raley's while visiting friends in the RP area. Wonderful overall selection. Wide aisles. Meat department far outshines Safeway. Good health food section. Alluring produce. The deli department is lacking, but the rest of the store rocks. My top choices for groceries: Raley's and Oliver's. read more

I have been shopping at Raley's for over 20 years. The remodel is very attractive, however I find it a little too dark. I don't go to Safeway for the same reason- it's hard to see the products. I understand that they are more "upscale" than some stores, but the prices on some of their products are incredibly over inflated. You can buy a bottle of Makers Mark in most stores in this area for twenty two to twenty four dollars. Raley's is a full sixteen dollars more! You can get a price break if you buy six bottles. The price is still inflated by four dollars with this "group discount". I also find myself checking experation dates on packaging, since I have purchased expired things there in the past. read more

Compared to other Raley's I've shopped at when living in the Sacramento & Napa areas this one is disappointing. You really have to watch the checkers carefully. I like Raley's. The prices are lower than Safeway's, they have a FANTASTIC gluten free selection, and they have a varied (but not overwhelming) selection of goods. The layout is simple and straightforward and the staff is really friendly. It's also clean and fairly modern looking, which makes for a pleasant shopping experience. I'd recommend it! read more

I've shopped at Raleys for 14 years, they have the best customer service of any store - hands down. The floral Dept actually made the table center prices for my Wedding and their plant/flower selections are always excellent. Nancy is a gem. I love the deli & bakery!! I only buy cakes from Raleys - and at every event people RAVE about how excellent they are. The roasted garlic bread is a staple in my house. Their party platters are awesome!!! I order the West Coast Cheese platter every year and they've helped provide me with food for numerous events. Quality is alway top notch. The Sushi bar is excellent. As is their produce Dept. I used to love shopping at Raleys . All the people were so much nicer... I went in there to buy two items the other day. The first one was seven dollars more expensive than it was at Olivers, the second one was $6.40 more expensive than what I usually buy at Olivers!!! Unreal! I asked one of the clerks and she shrugged her shoulders and said "sorry" then acted like I was complaining instead of treating it like it's something she might mention to her manager. Made me feel awful. Then told the clerk. A man that I've seen there for years and years as I was checking out. He did the same thing!! I was really kind and concerned because I used to like shopping at Raleys. I went out to my car and called the manager and she was concerned but said "we have really low prices on a lot of things and then a few of our things are more expensive..." LAME!! I walked out of there knowing that I will never go back to Raleys. I think they have a lot of elderly people in that neighborhood and they really should be ashamed of gouging the elderly with their "low-price specials"... and much higher prices on other things! I've shopped at Raley's for a few years now. Their meat and produce departments are always fresh and clean. Canned goods are limited, but you can get most things. It is an all around store with pharmacy, flowers, fresh bakery, organic foods, deli and snack bar for freshly made sandwiches. So it has almost everything except the kitchen sink. I expect to continue shopping there. read more
