Although hot wok changed their orange chicken recipe to be more batter heavy a la , it's not nearly as overpoweringly sweet as . 3. While the Peking Pork can be hit or miss, today it was hittin'. No PP at . 4. Hot wok employees stack your plate while the staff barely cover the bottom of your styrofoam container. 5. Hot wok fried rice has green onions. And I love onions! 6. Raley's you have failed me. I have been giving you glowing reviews for way to long and now I'm seeing why you have so many negative reviews.. I want to focus on their modern technology which has failed !!!!! Here I am at Raley's shopping and I think I should really save some money by looking at the current ads. I whip out my phone using the Raley's app go to Weekly Ad. It pulls and I go town. I check what's on sale and start pulling those items from the shelves and placing them in my cart. I save over $4 on Oatmeal and $1 off those Aidells sausages. Then I go reading the ads they place on the coolers for salads. Buy 2 Fresh Express salads and only pay $1.97 each or so. So I buy two. and they come out to be $3.99 each. I've tried to buy these salads before and they always ring up wrong. I really should just give up on trying to get the savings on these salads, I can't figure out what i'm doing wrong to get this deal. So here I am cart full and checking out. I asked the cashier to make sure I got the deal on the sausages and all he sees 10% off. He asks me to pull up the ad and I show him on the app. I got to weekly ad and there it is. I'm not looking at some old email. The sent me. I'm right here on the app. He asks me what date it says on the ad. I show him that it says weekly ad. Well he scrolls down to the bottom of the ad and enlarges it to show me the date. He says this is next weeks ads. I said but, I'm pulling this up on the app and it says weekly ads, it should be the current ad. Then then bag boy speaks up and says the add will start Wednesday (Today is Monday)therefore the app is wrong for half a week every week. They need to redo there app and if it says weekly ad it should be the current ad. And if they want to stick with being a week off they should at-least put the dates of the ad in a font size you really can read without blowing it up. To add to this there is no way to look at the current ads on the app. Therefore this app is useless unless you wait to Wednesday to use it. As I was entering on take two of the day since I forget something's I did see a pile of paper ads by the front door. I guess next time I shops I'll have to be like those other people and pick up a paper ad on my way in. This really kills the idea of looking at the ad at home and planning the shopping trip ahead of time unless it's Wed. The checker wanted to know if I wanted to return those items, but by that time it was too late, I already planned my meals around those items and there would have been a ton to return and then I would have to replan those meals. And at that time I didn't know you could also get the. ad at the front of the store. If I hand known that I could have returned everything , started over with the current ad and gone from there, but after spending 30 minutes in the store already I was shopped out.. I just wanted to be done. And still after that that I went home looked at my recipe and realized I had forgotten 3 ingredients and had to go back again. Sadly to say, Yes, I was that shopper that held up the line when I had the checker do a price check on those sausages. I'm sorry about to the person that was behind me. Thankfully it was only one person. What I learned from this experience is if you want to use the app to shop flip it open at home then do this on Wednesday. Then you can plan your meals then and then go shopping. For me I'm a Monday and Tuesday shopper so this doesn't work for me. I can only hope that they go back to mailing ads and this way I can plan ahead. Circle the items I want at home and take the ad with me along with my shopping list. read more

I've been coming to this Raley's location since I was old enough to walk. It's a landmark in West Sacramento. The workers here are really nice and helpful at all times. People of all ages come here. Old people for their prescriptions. Young for their alcohol or the donuts from the bakery. Personally I come for the great cuts of meats like steak and chicken. Also their salmon is some of the best in the 916. The vegetables and fruit are always fresh and ripe. Some of their products may be a little higher priced than other places but that's why you shop around, silly. The Peet's coffee here has a tremendous menu to choose from. I love their cold brew. It's strong and affordable. Just like me ;) Every time I'm here I rack up points to use at the end of the month. It rewards you for every dollar you spend. The cakes made here are my favorite. They sell single slices for about $4 and each one is quite large. I personally prefer the lemon cake but also enjoy the strawberry marble and also the carrot cake. Parking lot can be a bit sketchy but they have security at the door for safety purposes. read more

I am reviewing for the deli and catering items as I ordered for a work event because we had $2,000 in left over gift cards from the holidays. I walked in and did in person because you are unable to pay with a Raleys/Bel Air gift card online. There isn't even an option. The line at the deli was ridiculously long. Granted, it was during lunchtime but they only had ONE person at the counter when you have several in the back who does not or cannot seem to help the one person. Waited 30 mins being 4th in line. The gal was not familiar with what they even sold so I had to make sure that we were on the same page by the pictures. I spent $250 and paid at deli counter. Came time to pick up and was ready although one half the deli didn't do the other half so I had to wait for them to find my fruit tray. It looked nice but they were very small for the price. The brochure says feeds 10-12, I would cut that down to 8-10 at best. The wood trays they came in were nice. read more

It's incredibly disappointing to see a dog sitting inside a shopping cart - the same carts where people place fresh produce, groceries, and kids. This is a major hygiene issue. It's not just unclean--it's unsafe and inconsiderate to other customers. Management needs to take this seriously and enforce stricter policies immediately. This Raley's is unassuming but I find that it usually has all the cuts of meat in stock and kept behind doors, keeping the meats cooler. I am always able to find beef shanks here (the two Raley's near Sac State are almost always out) and they're always cheaper than getting them at the asian market. I will say that they have a bare-bones produce section compared to many other Raley's so you won't find things like loose oranges or apples, you gotta get them in a bulk bag because that's all they have. I got all my ingredients for Bulalo (a filipino beef shank stew) here when I was feeling blah, and tried the Raley's brand ginger kombucha. I felt great after! read more

I am a frequent morning shopper at this Raley's due to its convenient location and friendly employees. However, my recent experiences have been disappointing. During the early morning hours I encountered a clerk named Anthony who was rude and condescending. When I was ready for checkout I asked if he could assist me at a checkout lane while he was stationed at self-checkout, I was told, "No, I'm the only one here, so you have to use self-checkout." This response was confusing, as another associate, Joe, is usually available at Lane 6 during this time. And typically I'd understand if self check was busy and he couldn't handle both but there were only two other people checking out. Seemed like I interrupted his conversation with the Raleys security. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that customer service standards during morning hours are improved. I can't lie. I give this place a chance every time I go but I truly question if this place even cares about anything in this store. Cashiers are absolutely terrible. No one ever seems happy in here. Fruit is either molded or last an hour after purchase. The deals are literally save maybe a dollar. They rarely have carts and when they do it's normally filled junk from the previous customer or all rusted up. They have zero help and when they do the baggers literally have no concept of bagging items properly. I'm all for hard workers but unfortunately they do not have them. This place is a dumpster fire. I would like to commend Joshua from the bakery for helping me and going above and beyond when I already approached 2 employees that couldn't be bothered and in my opinion were just plain lazy. This was on 12/29/24 around 7:20 AM. The five stars are solely for Joshua, otherwise it would've been a big fat 0 stars. I came in to buy birthday balloons, nothing complicated, just needed to have them blown up. I approached the employee that was manning the self checkout line to ask if anyone can blow up these balloons. He said "there is nobody here to do it. The floor lady doesn't come in til 10 and the other guy who can do it broke his finger." You mean to tell me that not one employee can simply blow up a Mylar balloon? I said I can do it myself if I can get to the helium tank. He was so rude and dismissive. Then he said to check with someone in the bakery. I went back to the floral area and I see another employee and asked him if he can help me and he said no and walked away fast. As he's walking away, he said "I can't help you. The lady who does it doesn't come til later." Now if he was busy, I understand but he was literally just walking around. Just plain laziness. From this logic, nobody can purchase an inflated balloon until said "floor lady" can come in? Finally, Joshua from bakery, who was actually doing something and stocking inventory, helped me with a smile. When I asked him for help, he totally dropped everything to help me. That is customer service! He was so sweet and I can tell he never really blew up the balloons but he kindly said "We'll figure it out!" It took all of 2 mins to do. Joshua is a good person and you can tell he is a hard worker that cares. The other two employees were terrible and couldn't be bothered. I was once a grocery store manager and the lack of customer service on the part of the two men I encountered before Joshua would've given them a disciplinary meeting. I would've promoted Joshua! He's the kind of employee you'd want to have around. Maybe Raley's you can teach your employees not to be so lazy and learn how to inflate a balloon and be more like bakery employee Joshua. read more

Decent hardworking employees. Some don't enjoy their work. So obvious. But several are here for over 20 years and make the best of it. Love Robert. Not sure if he's the lead manager or an assistance. Easy to talk to and get to know. About to retire. Will miss him. Clean and family atmosphere environment. It's not like Safeway in downtown Sacramento or other grocery stores. They do not tolerate dirty bathrooms and homeless. There is always a serious security guard on duty at the front entrance. A few weeks ago, the older security guy stopped a transient from coming in. Kicked him out before he entered. Very impressive confidence and sharp observation. I believe the private patrols have guns and other safety/security equipment. Also observed the same older patrolman talking to a homeless kid out front and treating him gently. Excellent security company. Wish other places have this type of top-notch patrols, such as gas station, banks, theaters, etc. No BS, serious business and well-trained. Take pride in their work and profession. Ton of respect to this security man and his security company. Will always shop here at Raley's. It's a dying company. Mr. Raley's legacy still lives on at this location -- incredible customer service! I recently visited this Raley's location in West Sacramento, and had the pleasure of being helped by three of the most amazing clerks I have ever met. These clerks went above and beyond to ensure that each and every customer was treated with respect, patience, and kindness. The cashier, Shwetha, in particular caught my attention. She was incredibly patient with an elderly couple who was ahead of me in line. Despite the couple's slow pace and multiple questions, Shwetha remained calm and kind throughout the interaction. She never once rushed them or made them feel like a burden, instead taking the time to listen to their needs and help them find exactly what they were looking for. People like this are truly a rare find! I've interacted with Linda for years and it seems that each time I'm in the store, she always has a 1000 watt smile on her face. Linda is always eager to help her customers. From greeting every customer with a friendly word, making everyone feel welcomed and appreciated, to always making sure that each customer's needs are met and smooth transactions occur. Laura, the new assistant, demonstrates an incredible work ethic and has proven she truly loves her job. She meticulously organizes the shelves and displays to be sure everything is visible and very clean! She is also there to answer any questions regarding products. She truly went above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service, and it did not go unnoticed. As a long-time customer of this grocery store, I also want to mention that my father knew Mr. Raley, the owner and founder of the store for many years. Although he has passed away, his legacy still lives on through the exceptional customer service provided by these clerks. I have no doubt that the owner would have been incredibly proud of their work ethic and dedication to their customers. The care and attention they show to each customer is a testament to the values he instilled in the store. It is heartening to see that despite the passing of Mr. Raley, the spirit of the store and the values that made it great still endure. These clerks are a shining example of what customer service should be, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to experience their kindness and patience firsthand. This location is a disaster. Many customers with only two cashiers, each line had five customers at least and more. No one at self check out to help and no florists to assist. The wait in line was horrible. The staff were friendly and the shelves are mostly stocked. Just prepare yourself for a lengthy trip because of the long lines. read more

On occasion, they have good deals like GLACÉAU Vitaminwater Zero 6-pk for $4.99 or Starbucks 4-pk 9.5 oz. coffee drink for $4.99. Now that is a great deal! Other retail stores like Target or Wal-Mart charges $5.50 or even close to $6. In addition, I am happy seeing employees wearing face mask and gloves. That is exactly what I hope to see in every single retail store. Follow CDC guidelines. Even if you are cashiering, you should be wearing gloves. Money is the dirtiest and the easiest for cross-contamination. Every single aisle is neat and organized. Unfortunately, other products are priced higher than Wal-Mart or your local grocery store. I was missing some ingredients for my late diner so I went to check on the Raley's store hours on new years day 6am-11pm. I got in at about 9:55PM and suddenly the store announced that it was closing at 10pm because it is new years day. Horrible service. 1. Worker putting karts away I waited patiently for her to finish. She turned glaring at me an saying hurry up a grab one. Rude. I just needed a few things. Went to self check out. Lady at a computer ask is that all your getting ( grumpy look on her face) she then tells me if you want a bag you have to pay for it. I replied that yes I knew about this. I enjoy shopping at Raleys' for the fresh produce, selection, and ambience. I'm concerned that their 'Toys for Families' program includes a white bear with a Christian cross on it's paw and a red bow that reads 'Faith and Family'. Does Raley's care if I'm Jewish or Buddhist? I do not expect to find religious promotions at my grocery store. Since Raley's / Nob Hill / Bel Air is headquarted in West Sac, I am leaving my review here. When will West Sacramento get a new store like the one on Freeport Blvd in Sacramento? West Sacramento is headquarters for Raley's but they're letting this store go downhill since the Safeway closed in West Sacramento. From the parking lot to the shopping cart corrals to the outside and indoor paint and floors inside. I guess Raley's feels we have no choice but to shop at this store, but we do. I've found expired products in this store quite a few times and even a nice NY steak will turn brown before the sell by date. Sometimes there's a security person but not very often that I've seen. I've been a Raley's shopper for decades and I'm sad to see this store go downhill but the ones in Sacramento are really nice. This is my store I shop at weekly. It started going downhill awhile ago, dirty floors, moldy onions. I observed an employee sitting on a crate taking cracked eggs out of containers to add othmake a dozen (can you say salmonella?). Overall appearance of this store is, dirty. Selection or lack there of made things difficult for me when shopping for items from my list. I understand people are still panic shopping but this is just crazy. At least they do have eggs and toilet paper. Also note, they are only letting people access through one door. It's troubling to hear that this Raleys location houses office space for corporate Raleys employees yet is still terribly underserved. If it weren't for the cars in the parking lot you would believe this location to be condemned upon seeing the outside, the inside is just a dated and desperately in need of renovation. Item labels on the shelves for items that have not been restocked in weeks/months. Appurtenances in place for 10 registers yet the only time I saw more than two in use was during what must have been a corporate event/meeting around Christmas this past year, have to keep up those fake appearances when the executives are in town I guess. The same foot traffic during Thanksgiving week had the two open registers' lines halfways to the back of the store. Renovate this location and properly allocate resources to it or shut it down. The message Raleys is currently sending is that the members of this community don't deserve any better and if that's the case just get out, this retail space would be better utilized by another grocer. read more

Boycott all Raleys. Completely a horrid experience with obnoxious security guard, Charles the manager and the tall thin young dark haired male worker wearing an apron. These people are not good for business. Incapable management and snotty smart mouth employee who was making faces about me while I accidentally caught him and security guard. I called them out on it. The harassing obnoxious rude rude rude security guard was a bully. This entire experience is unacceptable. Raleys owners, I suggest you see and hear on your security camera/videos. The security guard is most definitely not an off duty officer. He isn't all there upstairs. I literally will not pay this store one more cent. I boycotted Nordstrom in 1990 and haven't stepped foot since and still tell people the reason. I shop Raley's for two households of groceries through instacart and in person. I spend a large amount of money monthly. I will return to Raley's upon confirmation all three are fired. Since that wont happen Ill move on to Safeway down town. Im still shaking upset from that shocking experience. I will be sure to share my experience with anyone who will listen. It's not my fault the homeless are steeling from you. They told me they did not have an ETA... would try to get out soon... called at 1215pm. Eight orders in front of it. They told me I had option to pick up.. so I'm here and call to let them know... "Oh, ok, we are just finishing it up." Just an FYI. I get it you're busy but please communicate with your customers. All grocery stores are not created equally. Not even within the same chain. I am an east coast transplant and left a stellar review for the Raley's in North Natomas but now that I've relocated closer to downtown, this has become my "local" Raley's and I'll be honest - I drive to Natomas to get my groceries or order online so I can avoid this place. The aisles are smaller, variety is not at all the same and the worst part is the bacon. The Raley's in Natomas has an awesome butcher with delicious sausage, fish, and thick cut platter bacon and the bacon here is just kind of sad. This location doesn't even have a butcher - so everything meat wise is prepackaged and limited in selection. I hate to pick on the staff because it's not that they aren't friendly, but they don't go above and beyond. The stockers didn't even move when I was trapped in the tiny aisle and nobody just randomly says hello. Nobody likes grocery shopping and nobody likes working - But if we're nice to each other then it makes the day a little better. Raley's is still doing a great job in Natomas but this store could definitely use some TLC now that West Sacramento is getting a little more populated. read more
