This is a post about the Jr department sales clerk, GAIL, who took it upon herself to negate my price adjustment/return today with her poor attitude and condescending words. A few weeks ago, I purchased several jr clothing items off the clearance rack for $1.99 and noticed the price marked IN RED on the ticket did not reflect on my receipt. 5 pairs of Wallflower overalls all rang up $1.99 except one pair and so, I stopped by the EASTON store to address it with the clerk, GAIL. I explained what happened and the first words out of her mouth were "these are Wallflowers and they never get reduced" followed by "there's no way to give you a price adjustment without seeing ALL the other wallflower overalls", followed by "why do you want to see a manager, she's going to tell you the same thing", followed by "there's nothing we can do" followed by "we don't ink the price in RED" blah, blah, blah. In the meantime, the department manager watched her and let her treat a GOOD customer in this manner and wouldn't share HER name because she didn't say anything wrong!! Who allows this clerk to treat customers this way? The asst mgr arrived and made the price adjustment but not w/o squaring it with the dept mgr first. Unacceptable, GAIL. You need a refreshment course in customer service and interactional training to better address a complaint with a customer.

The clothing was affordable because of a sale, but I personally would not pay full price for most of the items (e.g., $125 for casual pants). I arrived at the store about 10-15 minutes after opening time on a Monday morning, and there were 8-10 other shoppers present, likely due to the sale. No one greeted me initially, but eventually a salesperson asked if she could start a dressing room for me. I tried on quite a few items, and maybe 15 minutes later a salesperson asked if anyone in the dressing area needed help. Because there were other women trying on clothing while I was there, I asked another customer for feedback about how an item looked. I didn't mind doing this. However, if the store were less busy, perhaps a salesperson might have returned to the dressing room earlier and been able to offer the feedback herself.

Today I had the privilege of dropping by to see Carol, the volunteer coordinator for The Perfect Fit in Allentown. Talbots was extremely generous in donating 10% off all transactions today to The Perfect Fit for Working Women (a program of the YWCA). The manager, Donna Barry, was so helpful and she is so incredibly "pro-community." Every single employee could not have been genuinely more kind. This says a lot, especially since the store is having a "30 percent off everything" sale.

Can lightening strike twice in the same place? Not…read morenormally but damn, have I lucked out with stuff at this Kohl's. Same premise as last time. I needed new kicks (man I hate that term) and remembering that last year I had some really good luck here I went to the well again. Low and behold they still had the exact same style in stock, in store, on sale, with the ability to add promo-coupon-discount codes and by using the old lady's Kohl's card there was another discount. The email came an hour later to come on down and pick things up. The only hiccup came when I got to the customer service desk in the store as they didn't have the order at the desk so someone had to be dispatched to find where the shoes were. Two minutes later shoes in hand I took off. I would rather core my eyes out with a melon baller than go shopping but if you have do it and if you know exactly what you need this system from Kohl's works exactly as advertised.

The return desk asked me if I accepted "Kohls Cash". NO. I paid in real money and I want real money back. I was told to call and request a prepaid return labe. No Kohls doesn't do that (40 minutes waiting for a person). I paid $ 15.65 in return shipping. I received a letter from Kohls dated 4/26/24 stating "here is your receipt with return amount details". I was NOT credited. I received fake Kohls Cash. What a scam !! Surprise Kohls, I just filed a dispute with paypal and I WILL WIN !!

They had two registers working while I stood in…read moreline for 35 minutes, however, at the changing of the shifts, they went down to one cashier while the new girl signing in to a register proceeded to put hangers away for 15 minutes. I asked the manager, Sam, why. He said it was a safety issue and then HE questioned ME about what I could possibly see from a line. I asked to speak to someone else who might care and he pointed me to a phone number that was the store phone. The real manager is out on leave says the theft prevention guy. I am not sure who teaches a "sales manager" to dismiss a paying customer. Complete disrespect. The store is trashed and run by a bafoon starting at 4 pm weekdays. ​​
